2 Welcome to Auckland Live Kids kia ora Auckland Live Kids ignites and nurtures passion for the performing arts in our tamariki. Featuring great artists making work for young people, 2018 has a range of performances and workshops spanning beloved classic tales reimagined, bright, bold physical theatre, cultural performance, circus, dance, classical music and cabaret. We re also excited to offer digital and interactive experiences that tell stories, shift perspectives and spark creativity. In collaboration with Erth Visual & Physical Inc we proudly present our first virtual reality experience where children can dive deep into ancient waters. We keep our Kids ticketing as affordable as possible, and our foyer spaces have a range of free, hands-on activities for audiences between shows. This booklet is for your child to keep. They can colour it in and bring it to the show to rate their experience. There s an easy-to-read calendar with all the times and dates that you can stick to your fridge to help you plan ahead. Auckland Live Kids is created by a team of individuals who fondly remember magical childhood moments at live performance. We hope visiting us this year will spark that same light in your child, and lead to a lifelong journey with the arts.
