1 Vol.1 No.17 October-December, 2016 NCCT News Bulletin A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER OF NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR COOPERATIVE TRAINING 47 Conference of Directors of Regional Institutes of Cooperative Management and Institutes of Cooperative Management Held on 19 October, 2016 at Gangtok, Sikkim The 47 Conference of Directors of Regional Institutes/Institutes of Cooperative Management was organised at Gangtok on 19 October, The Conference was inaugurated by Shri S.B. Subedi, Hon'ble Minister for Cooperation, Government of Sikkim. Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), President, NCUI & Chairman, NCCT presided over e inaugural function of e Conference. The Conference was attended by Chairmen of Management Committee of RICMs/ICMs, Secretary, NCCT, Directors of RICMs/ICMs and officers of NCCT. Shri P.K. Panda, PCGM, RBI and Principal, CAB, Pune delivered e Key Note address. In e inaugural address Shri S.B. Subedi, Hon'ble Minister for Cooperation, Government of Sikkim called upon at e NCCT should come forwa for strengening e cooperative training in e state of Sikkim. In e Conference Hon'ble Minister Shri S.B. Subedi awaed e certificates to e Directors of RICM, Patna, Gandhinagar and ICM, Chennai for first, second and i best performing RICMs/ICMs in Resource Mobilisation during e year Shri P.K. Panda, PCGM, RBI and Principal, CAB, Pune expressed at e cooperative training institutions should collaborate and cooperate wi each oer in oer to share e benefits of expertise of different cooperative training institutions. Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), President, NCUI & Chairman, NCCT congratulated e Directors of RICMs/ICMs for achieving e target of training programmes. He also congratulated e Directors of e best performing RICMs/ICMs in Resource Mobilisation during e year Chairman, NCCT stressed at e Institute should conduct need based training programmes by identifying e need of different departments in oer to make training more effective. A view of 58 Meeting of NCCT held on 16 November, 2016 Awareness Programme on Cashless Transaction NCCT organised Awareness Programme on Cashless Transaction in e Conference Room of NCCT on 20 December, 2016 to facilitate e knowhow of executing cashless transaction rough various modes/ applications for e employees of NCCT and NCUI. Shri S.C. Pradhan, Principal, Delhi State Cooperative Training Centre, New Delhi explained e gaering about e advantages of cashless transaction rough different applications and demonstrated about e usage of money transactions rough digital platform. 2 A view of Awareness Programme on Cashless Transaction

3 October-December 2016 RICM, Bangalore Leadership Development Programme The Institute conducted Leadership Development Programme for e Chairmen/Directors of SC/ST Cooperatives in Karnataka State from 19 to 21st October, 2016 in collaboration wi NCCE, New Delhi. 63 Cooperative Week Celebration The Institute celebrated 63 All India Cooperative Week from 14 to 20 November, The Cooperative Week Celebration was inaugurated by Shri P.V. 4 NCCT News Bulletin RICM, Patna Technical Training Programme on Fish Farming The Institute conducted Technical Training Programme on Fish Farming under Fisheries Extension Scheme from 17 to 26 October, The programme was inaugurated by Shri N. Satyanarayana, Chief Executive, NCUI & Director General, NCCT on 17 October, While addressing e participants, e Director General outlined e important role of Fisheries Cooperative Societies and upliftment of socio-economic conditions of rural masses. He expressed at e sector is itself possessing vast potential in generation of employment as well as revenue generation domestically and internationally. participants wi e very basics of e cooperatives such as cooperative environment, its role in agriculture and rural development, importance and applications of cooperative and allied laws, structure and fundamentals of cooperative credit, banking and non-cooperative credit institutions/sectors, accounting concepts, its applications, importance of audit. In view of e importance of information technology management information system and fundamental of computer operations have also been incorporated in is training module. RICM as a training organization are also playing a very pivotal role in making vibrant cooperative institutions by enlightening em on contemporary issues. Farmers Sensitization Programme The Institute Organized Farmers Sensitization programme for e farmers to promote oerly grow of e warehousing in collaboration wi Warehousing Development and Regulatory Auority (WDRA) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dhamrati, Chattishgarh on 9 December, 2016 and at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khargone on 21st December, Farmers were sensitized on e scientific godown system. This helps farmers in storing eir produce in godown and wait for remunerative price for selling e produce in market. Certificate Course In Cooperative Management The Institute organised Certificate Course in Cooperative Management from to for e newly recruited Cooperative Extension Officers, Government of Bihar. 5 October-December All India Cooperative Week Celebration The Institute Celebrated e Cooperative Week on 15 November, Mr. Ratan Yadav, Chairman, M.P. State Consumer Federation Ltd., Mr. A.K. Dixit, Additional RCS, Mr. L.D. Pandit, Cooperative Consultant were present in e Cooperative Week Celebration. ICM, Hyderabad Workshop on Business Development Plan The Institute organised two one day workshops on Business Development Plan for e CEOs of PACS (ICDP-Ongole Dist) at District Central Cooperative Bank, Ongole, Prakasam Dist on 23 & 24 December, 2016.The programme was inaugurated by e Chairman of e DCCB, Prakasam Dist. In total 146 CEOs of PACS attended e above two workshops. The Valedictory function was organised on 24 December, Mr.Ashok Reddy, MLA of Giddalur Constituency was e Chief Guest of e Valedictory Function. A view of 63 Cooperative Week Celebration ICM, Guwahati Shri Mohan Kumar Mishra, Secretary, NCCT Visits Duarbagori Cooperative Society Ltd., Assam Shri Mohan Kumar Mishra, Secretary, NCCT visited The Duarbagori Cooperative Society Ltd., on 23 November, 2016 during his visit to Institute. This Society is carrying out e agricultural development activities and performing wi excellent outputs. This Society has honour of receiving Cooperative Excellent Awa in e year 2004 from e Honourable Prime Minister of India and also winning State Awa in e year Secretary, NCCT appreciated e activities being carried out by e Society and also e dynamic characteristics of Md. Ataur Smt. Indra Devi, Deputy Registrar & CPO, ICDP Project addressing e participants. A view of e CEOs of PACS who attended e Workshop State Level Cooination Committee (SLCC) Shri Mohan Kumar Mishra. Secretary, NCCT along wi e Boa of Director and Staff of Duarbagori Cooperative Society ICM, Hyderabad is entrusted e task of preparing DPR of ICDP and e same has been prepared and submitted before e State Level Cooination Committee (SLCC) under e Chairmanship of Special Chief Secretary, Cooperation & Marketing, Govt. of A.P. After e detailed discussion e DPR of ICDP, Chittoor, Phase-II has been approved by e SLCC. The total financial outlay proposed under ICDP, Phase-II for e District of Chittoor was Rs.242 crores. 5

Sharma, IAS, Commissioner(Cooperation), Govt. of Manipur; Shri L. Tompishak Singh, Chairman, Management Committee, ICM, Imphal, Shri L. Nabakishwar Singh, IAS, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Govt. of Manipur & Dr. Th. Munindro Singh, Director, Planning Department, Govt. of Manipur graced e occassion as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively and distributed awas sponsored by various donors. Leadership Development Programme The Institute organised Leadership Development Programme for e Boa of Directors and Members of Multi Industrial Cooperatives of Manipur State from 28 November to 30 November 2016 under e sponsorship of NCUI, New Delhi. Smt. N. Guite, DGM, NABARD, R.O. Manipur and Shri Thongkholun Baite, Deputy Director, MSME, Govt. of India graced e valedictory function as Chief Guest & President respectively. Altogeer 40 participants attended e programme from different districts. ICM, Kannur 63 All India Cooperative Week Celebration Every year e Cooperative Week celebration under e auspices of National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) is an occasion to disseminate e cooperative messages to a large number of co-operators and general public. The Institute observed e celebration under e banner of HDCM Planning Forum. Planning Forum conducted vivid programmes to propagate e eme of "Role of Cooperatives in Sustainable Development and Grow". On 14 November, 2016 e celebration was started by hoisting e co-operative flag by e Director, Shri.M.V. Sasi Kumar. As part of celebration a street painting event was conducted based on a eme of "Why Co-operatives'. Many creative artists produced meaningful pictures which conveyed e need for protecting and developing e co-operatives for e betterment of e society as a whole. Mr.Kishore.V.A. of HDCM & Mr.C.V.Ramesh of MBA took a lead for e programme. National Awa winner in painting Shri.Prabhan Nileshwar was e Chief Artist in e programme. The artists Shri. C.V Baburaj, & Sri.Vasan Paliyam were also present. One Day Workshop The Institute organised a one day workshop on 14 December, 2016 for Farmer Producer's Organisations sponsored by NABARD. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Nagesh, DDM, NABARD Regional Office, Kannur. Smt. V. Jisha, Manager, NABARD Regional Office were also present in e workshop. 7 October-December 2016 ICM, Madurai Programmes for e PDS Salespersons The Institute organised two batches of training programmes for e PDS Salespersons of Nilgiri District under e sponsorship of ICDP, Nilgiri on 4 and 5 November, 2016 at Ooty. These programmes were attended by 28 participants. 8 Commencement of Diploma Programme in Management of Computer Operations The Institute commenced a ree mons Diploma Programme in Management of Computer Operations (DMCO) in collaboration wi VAMNICOM, Pune. The course was inaugurated by Shri. P.Venugopal, IAS, Secretary (Cooperation), Govt. of Kerala. The Key Note address was delivered by Shri. N. Satayanarayana, Director General, NCCT. Adv.
