Due to our extensive experience in operating tours in Australia and New Zealand, Real Adventure Group was born originally as Real Aussie & Kiwi Adventures. Here's some more information: Money doesn't grow on trees right? Our budget adventures are for the traveller who needs to stretch their 'dough' as far as it can go. products might include sleeping in hostels or camping remotely in swags without a shower for a day or two. While this category often represents products that are cheaper in price, it can also represent the lower level of comfort and 'style' on a tour or activity. Who says you can't have an adventure without a little comfort? This type of trip will get you better quality food, beds and often smaller group sizes than our range. You will still get off the beaten track, you just get a few more frills to come with it. F L E X I B I L I T Y So you like Egyptian cotton sheets with a high thread count? Who doesn't? Combine your desire for the finer things in life with your love of adventure with this collection. Remember though, as an adventure company we still want to get your heart racing, so be prepared to get your expensive hiking boots a little wet or dusty. If you're lucky enough to be taking an extended break Down Under and have time to spare, then you may like to take advantage of many of our "Open Dated" products which allow you to pay for your ticket in advance and then book in your desired date once you're in Australia or New Zealand. Why if you're flexible would you pay for something in advance when you could wait? Good question, there's two reasons. 1. On many of our products you receive a special offshore price when you book 90 days in advance which is cheaper than what you will pay in Australia and 2. It helps with your budgeting. If you have a set amount of time in Australia and need to pre-plan your itinerary then you will have access to many of these offshore Earlybird prices too. And here's some important fine print to consider while you're browsing. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation of a booking or part thereof will incur the fees listed below as well as a 1% administration fee. Credit Card fees are also non-refundable. Once travel has commenced, no refunds will be made for any unused services and clients will be responsible for their travel arrangements from that point onward Days 25% of Fare 14 days 29 days 50% of Fare Within 14 days 100% of Fare Cancellations should be made with your booking agent as additionally their cancellation fees may differ to the above. Please note any airfare components are non-refundable. AMENDMENT POLICY (FOR AUSTRALIA, NZ AND ASIA) More than 1 months notice prior to commencement of travel will incur no charge. For any amendments within one month from departure date our regular cancellation policy may apply, however the final decision will be made by our ground supplier. For open-dated tickets the terms and conditions will take place once the tour or activity has been confirmed to travel. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Our operators reserve the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and activities and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. Sometimes roads or activities will be closed due to seasonality, extreme heat or rainfall and is beyond the control of operators. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure. A minimum number of 4 passengers are required to operate. It may be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour if minimum numbers are not met. Real Aussie Adventures are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services or any associated costs resulting from such delays. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage and cannot be responsible for children whilst on tour. Parents are entirely responsible for their children whilst all care will be taken. Components of tours are subject to Cultural conditions. Participants may be absent due to cultural commitments with minimal prior notification and Real Aussie Adventures reserves the right to amend the itinerary in these circumstances with no obligation to refund. Components of trips are dependent on many external factors and Real Aussie Adventures cannot be held liable if trip components are not available on the day of travel. MEALS, DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND FOOD ALLERGIES Please refer to each individual tour/package to establish which meals are included. Meals are indicated as: B = Breakfast, L = Lunch and D = Dinner. Our supplier's menus are designed to be well balanced and healthy to provide the necessary sustenance for clients to enjoy and participate in their tour or activity. If clients have any food allergies or specific dietary needs please contact us to discuss these requirements and we will advise if they can be catered for. As many of our operators are in remote regions, certain foods are not always available. They may have to supplement menus as supply dictates therefore we cannot guarantee all ingredients contained in these alternatives. In these instances we will advise clients to provide their own supplementary food/ snacks depending on their specific requirements. This will be at their cost. PARTICIPATION Most tours require a certain level of participation. This may include assisting and cleaning afterward with preparation of meals, collecting firewood and sweeping out tents. Fitness requirements: All Real Aussie and Kiwi Adventures products require a moderate level of fitness. As a general rule, pax need to be fit enough to walk an average of 6 kilometres a day, though not all tours will require this amount of walking. If you are concerned about your client's suitability to a tour, please contact us and we can provide more information regarding the physical demands of that particular product and often recommend a more appropriate product if their first choice is not suitable. Suitability and medical forms: For comfort and safety on our adventure tours and activities, and to ensure suitability, passengers between the ages of 60 and 69 will need to sign a form highlighting some of the conditions in which they may be faced during some tours. Passengers aged 70+ or those who are pregnant, will receive a similar form that will need to be signed by a doctor, acknowledging they are suitable and fit and able to participate on the booked tour. LUGGAGE Luggage should be restricted to 15 kg per person in a soft bag or backpack (except for tours starting and finishing in the same location where a 10kg limit applies) with a small day pack for easy access to camera, sunblock etc. Those starting and finishing in a different location can carry 20kg at time of booking with a soft bag. ITINERARY DISCLAIMER Itineraries are correct at time of publication and may differ slightly to the one displayed in the brochure/website. Occasionally itineraries change as operators make improvements based on comments from past travellers. Additionally, National parks alter their policies so that certain walks are no longer available for safety reasons. If we are unable to utilise a product, service or activity detailed, a suitable alternative will be offered where possible. CHILDREN Please request child rates at time of booking as many of our operators provide a child policy. FEES AND LEVIES Any additional fees/levies are noted within each itinerary. Credit card payments attract a % surcharge. LIABILITY Our suppliers make every effort to safeguard clients, and we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or sickness to any customer which is beyond our control. Passengers should note that adventure travel involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release may be required from all participants from a number of our activity providers. Real Aussie and Kiwi Adventures works with the best operators available but takes no responsibility for any act of neglect by any operator whose services are used as part of your trip. TRAVEL INSURANCE Travel Insurance is NOT included. We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travellers take out travel insurance. It is the clients personal responsibility to purchase their own travel insurance to cover any liability which may be incurred to us, or our service providers. We strongly recommend that clients source travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on either the confirmed departure date, or a connecting service at the end of a tour. Our operators often work in remote locations and meeting flights or other transport arrangements after tour cannot be guaranteed. Travel insurance recommended with a low excess payment, to make claiming on cancelled tours worthwhile. Travel Insurance is compulsory when travelling in Asia on our programs. SMOKING & DRINKING Government regulations prohibit smoking and the drinking of alcohol inside tourist vehicles (smoking and drinking should be limited to stops along the route).
