Our BAe146 Jets are incorporated in the line operation of reputable European airlines. Among them Air Berlin, Germanwings, Air France, British Airways, SAS, KLM und Brussels Airlines. The WDL history The WDL group was founded by Theodor Wüllenkemper in Initially banner aero-tow flights, coastal resort services and flights for executives were performed with small propeller aircraft. Developing, manufacturing and operating airships, so-called-blimps, started in 197. This line of business is operated by WDL Luftschiffgesellschaft mbh in Essen/Mülheim. In 1974 WDL Aviation GmbH & Co. KG. was founded and the first Fokker F7 were operated for passenger flights. In 1998 the fleet was expanded by British Aerospace (BAe) 146 Regional Jets and the Learjet 55. Currently the WDL Aviation aircraft fleet consists of BAe 146 Jets, which are operated for reputable airlines throughout Europe. The WDL-Group companies are high-performing, financially sound, independent companies. The aircraft we use and the necessary equipment to operate them are property of WDL. 6 Safety In cooperation with the leading training center in Germany TFC Käufer, used by almost all the airlines, the CAE and the Lufthansa subsidiary Crew Academy we train our staff and keep them at a high level by regularly training them. All the WDL pilots without exception hold licences as Air Transport Pilot (ATPL) and have many years of practical experience with thousands of flight hours. Before WDL pilots work as captains they have far more experience than required by law. Our cockpit and cabin crews in particular are trained far beyond the EU - OPS requirements. The additional designation of security or flight safety staff etc. allows flight operation to make a lot of information available to the flying staff. This way much initiative is put into accident prevention and flight performance tactics. IOSA certification WDL is IOSA-certified. IOSA is the worldwide industry standard for an airline s operational safety procedures. For the certification every operational department such as organization, management, flight operation, flight directors department, aircraft maintenance and the cabin crew is inspected with regard to the correct performance of specified procedures.
