1 The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is the pinnacle of achievement for elite athletes and everyday runners alike. On Sunday, October 11, 2015, runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will set out to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the finish line in Grant Park. The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is known for its flat and fast course that starts and finishes in Grant Park and travels through one of the world s most magnificent cities. The course has produced four world records, several national records, and countless personal bests. Participants enjoy the support of 1.7 million spectators as they run through 29 neighborhoods. This is a great marathon if you are trying to qualify for Boston. Participants are welcome to join one of several different Nike+ Pace Teams. Participants can sign up with a Nike+ Pace Team at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Health & Fitness Expo at Chicago s McCormick Place Convention Center. GUARANTEED ENTRY PACKAGES. 5 IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK: ELIGIBILITY Guaranteed entry packages can only be purchased by those who are residents of Canada. You do not have to be a Canadian Citizen. To register, you must be 16 years of age or older on event day. Individuals under 18 years of age must have a statement signed by their parent or legal guardian permitting their participation LOTTERY ENTRIES: A small portion of International entrants may obtain Entry through the lottery system. Refunds for Guaranteed Entry packages will NOT be made to those who purchase one of our Guaranteed Entry Packages and then gain entry through the lottery. PLEASE DO NOT SEND US A GUARANTEED ENTRY APPLICATION IF YOU ARE ENTERED IN THE LOTTERY. You may contact us after the Lottery results are posted for Guaranteed Entry availability. DEFERRED ENTRIES: When booking through an International Travel Partner (ITP), you CANNOT defer your Guaranteed Entry to 2016 if you have to cancel for any reason. GROUP DISCOUNTS: Groups of 10 or more people travelling together are eligible for a group discount. The amount of the discount will depend on the total number of people travelling in your group and the package you choose. CONFIRMATION: Upon receipt of your FULLY completed application and deposit, Marlin Travel will send you an acceptance of your entry package to the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. PACKET (BIB NUMBER) PICK-UP Participants must pick up their own packets at the Health & Fitness Expo during regularly scheduled hours. Participants must provide photo identification upon picking up their packets to verity their identity as the registrant to whom the bib number is assigned. CANCELLATION PENALTY: All money paid to Marlin Travel is non-refundable, no exceptions for any reason. We offer and recommend you purchase Cancellation Insurance to cover you for this non-refundable amount. Once you have been accepted into the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, all fees are NON REFUNDABLE, under all circumstances. TRAVEL INSURANCE: Transat Travel Insurance is optional and can only be purchased at time of booking. Travel Insurance protects you for the NON REFUNDABLE cost of your package, should you have to cancel due to a covered reason. Insurance rates vary according to the price of your package, your age and length of stay. We will contact you for a quote prior to confirming your participation. Please note: An injury that prevents you from running the Marathon IS covered under this Insurance Policy. CHANGES: If you decide to change your booking or any part of it once it has been confirmed, a $75.00 administration fee per change will be charged. In addition you are responsible for any increase in fares and/or airline change fees because of this change. PAYMENT: Full payment is required at time of booking. EVENT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Participants must be 16 years or older on race day, October , in order to enter the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Participants years of age must have a statement signed by their parent or legal guardian permitting them to participate in the race. The 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon has a maximum net race day finish time of six hours and 30 minutes (6:30:59). The Marathon course will reopen for public use on a rolling schedule based on this time limit. The sale and/or transfer of race entries/bib numbers is strictly prohibited. All registration fees and ancillary purchases are non-refundable. All participants are required to show a government-issued photo ID upon picking up their own participant packet (bib number and timing device) at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Health & Fitness Expo during the scheduled hours of operation.
