One open incident from yesterday left to assess this morning in Thunder Bay. c) Observed Fire Behaviour: THU 25 Class 1, smoldering. NIP 15 Class 2-3 on steep hill. NIP 13 Class 5. Class 5 reported on SLK 25 and 26, SLK 30 reporting 30 cm DOB. Scattered showers and storms are anticipated along the front with trace to 10mm possible with an additional 15-25mm from stronger storms. Winds will be southwesterly ahead of the front and quickly veering to the west/southwest with its passage. No low level jets are forecasted ahead of the front today. Wind speeds will range from 10-20km/h across the region with lighter winds moving in after peak burn along the Manitoba border. RH values may drop into the 30-50% range through southern parts of W06 and 07 but will otherwise remain above 50% today. Temperatures will climb into the upper 20s/low 30s ahead of the front and dropping into the low 20s with its passage. Humidex values will climb into the low 30s today. Fort Frances: Increasing cloudiness from the west this morning with a risk of showers and storms by mid-morning and again through 1400 to 1700 CDT. Rainfall amounts will range from trace to 15mm. Winds will be southerly at 5-15km/h with gusts up to 35km/h. Winds become westerly this evening. RH values will remain above 50%. High 25C. Low 15C.
