1 Vol. 11/ 2011 Handling with CARE Customer Attentive Responsive Efficient Dear Friends, Welcome to the November edition of the BFS Cargo E-Newsletter. As we all know huge parts of the country have been flooded for several weeks now and this has affected many people and businesses. Here in BFS we have spent many hours on Contingency Planning to ensure we remain open 24/7 to support the community. Many of our Staff have been flooded David Ambridge General Manager - Cargo and we have given them accommodation within the Cargo Terminal and also at our GSE Facility. In the GSE facility we have also been able to take in family members as that is not in a restricted area. We have purchased bedding, washing machines, and ironing boards as well as providing them with food and water to help ensure that they are safe and well. If the situation continues to get worse we can take many more into our temporary HOTELS. We have even purchased 2 boats so that we can go and get any staff member that is stuck in the floodwater itself and cannot get out of their house. We continue to monitor the situation very closely as the floodwater moves but we do not expect the Airport itself to be affected. We have already handled several Relief flights and in support of this effort. BFS has waived all of the Handling Fees for these shipments. So far we have handled over 160 tonnes of Flood Relief Aid from China. We have also waived Storage Fees on Export Shipments to allow people to deliver 1 day earlier if they need to. We remain open 24/7 though and we will continue to do so up until we are ordered to evacuate the Airport by AOT. 4 Flood Stress Stress related to flooding situations may be different from stress by other causes because flooding conditions may persist for an extended period of time and disrupt the productivity and may result in irreversible damage or loss - causing people tend to feel hopeless, angry and depressed. This article will share some simple ways to deal with stress and with the hope that with time and with all the support, we will bounce back and our lives will return to normal soon. What can we do about stress? Acknowledging feelings and talking them out, remind each other that these feelings are normal under the circumstances. Be conscious, discuss the situation and plan what to be taken if you need to evacuate. Health and safety comes first, pay attention to health. Nutritious diet and adequate sleep are important. Don't hesitate to ask for assistance! Many people are around who want to help and will help. Encouraging yourself and others will help us make it through this crisis together, take care of your mental health first. Keep in mind that it is unrealistic to bring everything back to its original state in just a few days. So, there is no need to pressure yourself, think positively and prepare yourself for the recovery after the flooding. Good luck!! Teamwork This article is very interesting and important in every business as having great Teamwork means increasing of work efficiency. To succeed at the task in hand, everyone involved needs to combine their efforts. If everyone does their job well, then it increases what the team can accomplish. This teamwork has to be recognized by everyone and know that great things can happen if individuals work together as one unit. Everyone has their own unique role, but each person's individual role must be recognized and appreciated. Teamwork is something that must be a high priority and given constant attention. Every player needs to understand how important it is for them to work smoothly together if they want to be successful. Each player must be dedicated to the whole team and be willing to act unselfishly. When challenges arise (as they always do), the team needs to have the resources, accountability and commitment to deal with them in a constructive and positive manner. A sense of teamwork will play an integral part in this. Please always remember T.E.A.M. - Together Everyone Achieves More!

5 Latest News BFS Cargo Helps Flood Relief Contributed by Chinese Government On 20th October and 3rd November, China Cargo (CK) in coordination with BFS Cargo brought in special MD-11 Freighter containing of flood relief contributed by Chinese Government supplies for Thailand recently. Flood relief supplies consisted of clothing, Boats, Engines, Tents, sandbags and Water purification equipment. Photo shows representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Romyawadee along with representative of Embassy of the People s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Li An and CK Cargo Manager Mr. Wang Jian together with Mr. John Yep/BFS Director Cargo Service Delivery welcomed the arrival of this special cargo into the BFS Cargo Terminal. BFS Cargo is pleased to take part of this humanitarian support by waiving the full cargo handling services including Storage Charge, Delivery Order Charge, and Terminal Charge for relief shipments delivering through BFS Cargo. BFS Supports Two C130 s Aircrafts of Singapore Air Force. On Saturday 29 October 2011, the two C130 military transport aircraft from Singapore Air Force was delivered motorboats to help flooding victims in Thailand by the flight of SAF6131 and SAF6132 at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Bangkok Flight Services (BFS), has been taking a part of the humanitarian assistance by supporting them in moving boats and survival goods with the help of BFS staffs from Loading, Sorting, ROC, GSE and BFS Cargo.

6 BFS Donated to Channel 3 Family to Help the Victims of the Flooding On 13th October 2011, BFS donated 200,000 Baht to Channel 3 Family to Help the Victims of the Flooding to subsidize flood victims. As the current flooding crisis has become extremely severe in many provinces, the Social Committee of BFS decided to make donation to Channel 3 Family to Help the Victims of the Flooding in the afternoon of 13th October The total money of 200,000 baht was donated from BFS staff in Passenger, Ramp, Cargo and Support Units and from the Company. BFS Team would like to wish for all the affected people, their livelihood and properties to be able to return to normalcy very soon. BFS Welcomed Inaugural Flight of South East Asian Airlines as the Newest Customer On 31th October 2011, Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) welcomed the inaugural flight of South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR) from Philippines as the newest customer. SEAIR chose BFS as their partner at Suvarnabhumi Airport to provide all services includes Passenger, Ramp and Cargo handling services. The inaugural flight DG 7212 with 26 passengers using Airbus 319 departed from Clark, Philippines and landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 14:46 hrs. BFS teams led by Ms. Rungtiwa Senawong, Passenger Service Manager- Customer Service were on ground to prepare a welcome for this flight by presenting BFS Certificate of Appreciation and giving souvenirs to the captain and crews. At 15:35 hrs. of the same day, the flight DG 7213 left Bangkok with 92 passengers for Clark, Philippines. SEAIR currently operates 3 weekly flights connecting Clark and Bangkok, on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
