He s a one-man 24/7 content machine with PaulPoteet.com, Paul Poteet s Gotta Eat, The Paul & Tom Show podcast and daily on-air duties for Z99.5 and dozens of other radio stations across the country. Patty Spitler is a host and contributor to Pet Pals TV and PetPalsTV.com. An Emmy award winner, Patty worked for 23 years at WISH-TV in Indianapolis as an anchor and entertainment reporter. She retired in 2004 for health reasons. Patty has a handsome Bernese Mountain Dog named Louie. Patty volunteers her time with Pet Pals TV and other animal organizations. When she's not on the air or in front of her computer, Patty and Louie can be found at the dog park or taking a walk in Broad Ripple.

3 YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 ~ WEDNESDAY ~ FEBRUARY 26 INDIANAPOLIS/ANCHORAGE Your adventure begins as you board your flight to Anchorage, Alaska. Upon arrival you will be met by your Classic Escapes representative and transferred to your hotel. The balance of your evening is at leisure to settle into the Land of the Midnight Sun! Your home for the next four nights is the Westmark Anchorage Hotel, a blend of sophistication and convenience. Centrally located adjacent to the Egan Center and Dena ina Civic and Convention Center, and across the street from the Performing Arts Center, the Westmark is the perfect accommodation for downtown accessibility. It is also within walking distance to the Iditarod starting point. It offers a restaurant/lounge, fitness facility, high speed internet and all rooms have private balconies with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding Chugach Mountains and Cook Inlet. (Meals Aloft) DAY 2 ~ THURSDAY ~ FEBRUARY 27 ANCHORAGE Enjoy a free day to explore Anchorage on your own or join in one of the exciting optional excursions available. Optional Full Day Adventure to Dog Sledding Country Morning departure from your hotel for a scenic drive north to dog mushing country! Upon arrival at the kennel, you will meet a veteran dog musher for an authentic Alaskan experience. After lunch, meet the sled dogs, learn the ropes, and watch the dogs pull! You ll hear great stories from the trail and learn about the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and mushing basics. Price: $189 per person. Depart at approximately 8:00 AM and return at approximately 3:00 PM. Lunch is included. Optional Taste of Winter Alaska s Great Outdoors Enjoy Alaska s favorite outdoor activities wrapped up in one exciting adventure! Transfer in the morning to the trail where you will enjoy a 40-minute dog sled ride, an all-ability-levels snowshoe walk on the trails and making s mores at a campfire. Complimentary water and snacks are provided. Price: $199 per person. Depart at 9:30 AM with return at 12:30 PM or depart 11:00 AM and return at 2:00 PM. In the evening the group will attend the annual Musher s Banquet at the newly-built Dena ina Center. Enjoy dinner as you get up close and personal to the scene, talk to the Iditarod mushers, take pictures and collect autographs. Watch as mushers draw their starting numbers from a boot. The order in which the mushers pick their numbers is determined by the order in which they signed up for the race. 4 DAY 3 ~ FRIDAY ~ FEBRUARY 28 ANCHORAGE This morning you will visit the Anchorage Museum of History and Art. The largest museum in Alaska, the Anchorage Museum is a community-based institution with a wide-ranging collection on the art, history and cultures of Alaska. One of the museum s most popular exhibits is the Alaska Gallery, a 15,000 square-foot gallery devoted to Alaska s history. It displays more than 1,000 artifacts, and is one of the state s finest presentations of Alaskan history and ethnology. Fullscale and miniature dioramas, as well as interpretive exhibits, provide an interactive glimpse of Alaska s native cultures as well as recent history of The Last Frontier. Your afternoon is at leisure to continue your exploration of this lovely city or you may choose to embark on an optional flightseeing tour. Optional Scenic Flightseeing tour to Yentna Fly towards the foothills of Denali to view the entire length of the Ruth Glacier, the Great Gorge (at over 9,000 feet, one of Earth s deepest) and the massive south face of Mount McKinley (weather dependent). Along the way you will make a landing at Yentna, the first Iditarod checkpoint for mushers after they depart the official Iditarod re-start. Spend an hour on the ground and have an insider look at the activities that go on at a race checkpoint. You will meet the race volunteers who are responsible for positioning food bags and bales of straw for the mushers and their teams. Price: $525 per person. Duration is five hours. Overnight at WESTMARK ANCHORAGE HOTEL. (B) DAY 4 ~ SATURDAY ~ MARCH 1 IDITAROD CEREMONIAL START!/GIRDWOOD Today is the ceremonial Race start in Anchorage. Get an early start and witness the excitement as the mushers unload their teams in the staging area and get ready to run the race of a lifetime. The race begins just blocks from your hotel. Later join the crowds cheering on their favorite mushers as they race down 4 th Avenue and then have free time for lunch on your own. After lunch enjoy a city tour with highlights such as the Historic downtown area, the Ship Creek fish ladder, and Lake Hood, home of the largest and busiest floatplane base in the world. Next head south along the scenic Turnagain Arm to Girdwood, one of Alaska s best year round resort communities. Spend time at the Alyeska Ski Resort and enjoy the beautiful views as you ride the aerial tramway to the top of Mount Alyeska. Afterwards continue to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where you will have opportunities to photograph animals as they display their natural, wild behavior. Coyotes peer out from behind the brush while a bald eagle swoops in on the salmon remains left by a grizzly bear. Wood Bison plod through 65 acres of tidal flat terrain, as part of a program that will one day restore the species to the Alaskan wilderness. Return to Anchorage in the evening. Overnight at WESTMARK ANCHORAGE HOTEL or similar. (B) DAY 5 ~ SUNDAY ~ MARCH 2 IDITAROD OFFICIAL RESTART!/WILLOW/TALKEETNA This morning you will visit the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race Headquarters in Wasilla. Then, travel north to the official restart of the race in Willow where you will have another chance to experience the thrill as you watch the racers take off to begin their long trek to Nome. After seeing this exciting event, continue north to Talkeetna, a distinctively Alaskan

5 town. This historic village is nestled at the base of North America s tallest peak, Mount McKinley (Denali). It offers outstanding panoramic views as well as a myriad of outdoor activities and interesting art galleries, shops and restaurants. Accommodations here are limited and very basic. There are no TV s or telephones in the rooms, but they are clean with private facilities. Hang out at the bar tonight to meet the locals for a unique, authentic experience. (B) DAY 7 ~ TUESDAY ~ MARCH 4 RAINY PASS CHECKPOINT/ANCHORAGE/EN ROUTE Join Paul Poteet, Patty Spitler and the PetPals TV crew this morning as you transfer to the airport for your one hour charter flight north to Rainy Pass. You will spend approximately four hours here and experience the arrivals and departures of mushers at this checkpoint. You will also enjoy lunch at Rainy Pass Lodge. Return via charter flight in the late afternoon back to Anchorage where you connect with your overnight flight home. 9 CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL: HOW TO BOOK: Fill out the reservation form below and send it to Classic Escapes, Que4ens Blvd., Woodside, NY 11432, together with a deposit of $500 per person. On receipt of your signed reservation form and deposit, we will, subject to availability, reserve your place on your tour. When we send off your confirmation invoice, your booking is confirmed and accepted by us. Final payment is due not later than 95 days prior to departure. Final documents will be sent to you approximately two weeks prior to departure. AIR TRANSPORTATION: Roundtrip economy-class jet transportation from INDIANAPOLIS via DELTA AIR LINES and/or other IATAN Carriers. Rates based on special promotional group fares and are subject to cancellation fees once tickets are issued. DEPARTURE TAXES: Please note the amount of departure taxes are subject to change, at the discretion of governments and airlines, and with no advance notice. Should this occur, you will be invoiced prior to departure for any additional taxes imposed. AIRLINE SEATING: For Delta Air Lines flights, we can request a seating preference on your behalf, however this is only a request and not guaranteed. Requests must be made in writing no later than 60 days prior to departure. Bulkhead and/or emergency row seats can only be requested at airport check in on the day of departure. Boarding passes will only be issued at the airport on the day of departure. You may inquire during check-in to have a seating change made, however this change is based on availability and is at the sole discretion of airport staff. ACCOMMODATIONS: Hotels as indicated in itinerary in rooms with private bathroom facilities. SINGLE SUPPLEMENT: Single accommodations are not guaranteed, but will be provided at additional cost if available (see reservation form for cost.) The single-room supplement pays for privacy, not better accommodations. For passengers who are traveling alone and wish to share a room with another tour member, we will do our best to provide a roommate. However, if this is not possible, you will be required to pay the single room supplement prior to your departure. MEALS: American breakfast daily. All other meals as specified in itinerary. SIGHTSEEING: Your tour will be a visual delight. All sightseeing will be done by deluxe motorcoach as specified in itinerary. TRANSFERS: Roundtrip transfer of passengers between airports and hotels for included services. TIPS AND TAXES: Gratuities for baggage handling and service charges and taxes imposed by hotels and entrance fees to all areas of interest as outlined in the itinerary are included. Tips to driver and guide are not included and are at the discretion of the tour members. A suggested tipping chart will be forwarded with the final documents. RATES: All rates quoted are based on tariffs in effect as of August 31, 2013, and are subject to change. Rates are based on a minimum of 20 passengers traveling together. TRIP INFORMATION: Upon receipt of your application, instructions will be sent to you concerning all aspects of your trip, such as itinerary, photographic equipment, documents, clothing, insurance, etc. INVOICING: Final invoicing of your trip will be done upon receipt of reservation and deposit. Final payment is due 95 days prior to departure. FINAL DOCUMENTS: Final documents and tickets will be sent to you approximately two weeks prior to departure. We regret to advise that no documents can be released if final payments are not received. PAYMENT SCHEDULE: A deposit of $500 per person must be submitted with each application. Deposits may be paid by check or charged to American Express, Mastercard, Visa or Discover. Final payment is payable by check or money order ONLY and is due no later than 95 days prior to departure. CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. The following per person fees are applicable on this tour: Up to 95 days prior to departure, $250 administrative fee days prior to departure, forfeiture of deposit days prior to departure, less 50% of tour cost per person. 60 days or less days prior to departure, 100% cancellation penalty. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU OBTAIN THE OPTIONAL CANCELLATION INSURANCE POLICY. INFORMATION WILL BE SENT TO YOU UPON RECEIPT OF YOUR APPLICATION. DEVIATIONS: Should additional reservations be required, we will happy to make all the arrangements. However, there will be an extra charge of $150 per person for such deviations, over and above the cost of the services required. CHANGE FEES: Once you reserve your tour, changes are possible subject to availability of air or land space at the time of request. Should there be any change fees imposed by airlines or ground operators, or additional costs incurred due to availability of any space, this cost will be invoiced to you.

10 WILD ANIMALS: Please be aware that this tour may take you into close contact with wild animals. Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no tour into wilderness areas can guarantee that this will not occur. Neither the company, nor their employees, nor agents can be held responsible for any injury or incident on tour. RESPONSIBILITY: Neither Classic Escapes (the Company) nor any person or agent acting for, through or on behalf of the Company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the aforegoing shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in its brochure or other literature, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, theft, injury or death. In addition the Company shall have the right at any time at its discretion to cancel any tour or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route, accommodation, price or other details and, in the event of any tour being rendered impossible, illegal or inadvisable by weather, strike, war, government or interference or any other cause whatsoever, the extra expenses incurred as a result thereof shall be the responsibility of the passenger. The Company may at its discretion and without liability or cost to itself at any time cancel or terminate the guest s booking and in particular without limiting the generality of the aforegoing it shall be entitled to do so in the event of the illness or the illegal or incompatible behavior of the guest, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund. The person making any booking will, by the making of such booking, warrant that he or she has authority to enter into a contract on behalf of the other person included in such a booking and in the event of the failure of any or all of the other persons so included to make payment, the person making the booking shall by his/her signature thereof assume personal liability for the total price of all bookings made by him/her. PHOTOGRAPHY: The Company reserves the right without further notice to make use of any photograph or film taken on the tour by our photographers without payment or permission. We guarantee that no photographs of a compromising nature will be used. CHANGES TO SCHEDULES: Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules it should be borne in mind that the Company reserves the right and in fact is obliged to occasionally change routes and lodging on tour as dictated by changing conditions. Such conditions may be brought about by weather conditions, or airline or other booking problems, etc. REFUNDS: While the company uses its best endeavors to ensure that all anticipated accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature whatsoever against the Company for a refund either in the whole or part, if any accommodation or excursion is unavailable and a reasonable alternative is not found. If the guest is unable to use any service provided in the itinerary, then there are no refunds due. AIRLINE CLAUSE: The airlines concerned are not to be held liable for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance. The passengers tickets in use by the airline or by other carriers concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tickets and/or passengers. DELAYS: We cannot be held liable for any delays or additional costs incurred as a result of airlines not running to schedule. If one of our guides is unable to take a tour due to illness, etc. we reserve the right to substitute with another guide. This agreement is made subject to and shall be governed by and construed according to the laws of the country in which the tour takes place. Classic Escapes act merely as an agent for the operating companies. To the best of our knowledge the itinerary is correct at the time of printing. We cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies or changes that may occur after printing. CONSENT: The payment of the deposit OR any other partial payment for a reservation on a tour constitutes consent by all guests covered by that payment to all provisions of the conditions and general information contained in this brochure whether the guest has signed the booking form or not. The terms, under which you agree to take this tour, cannot be changed or amended except in writing signed by an authorized director of the Company. INSURANCE: It is a condition of booking that the sole responsibility lies with the guest to ensure that they carry the correct comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover themselves, as well as any dependents/traveling companions for the duration of their trip. This insurance should include cover in respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation or curtailment of the program, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, damage/theft/loss of personal baggage, money and goods. Classic Escapes, including their representatives, employees and agents will take no responsibility for any costs, losses incurred or suffered by the guest, or guest s dependents or traveling companions, with regards to, but not limited to, any of the above mentioned eventualities. Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require, and may find themselves in a position unable to access such services should they not be carrying the relevant insurance cover. PLEASE NOTE INSURANCE PREMIUMS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE SHOULD TOUR BE CANCELED BY PARTICIPANT. INSURANCE PACKAGE: Classic Escapes offers a comprehensive insurance package, which allows the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion to be waived if purchased within 15 days of the initial trip payment. If obtaining this pre-existing condition waiver is not of importance to you, you may opt to wait until you receive your pre-departure packet of information which will include details on the insurance package. INSURANCE PREMIUM: See premium schedule below, or call us for the exact amount and information on the policy. This is applicable to all coverage contained in the policy. You must be medically able to travel when you pay your premium. In the event that a claim is filed, the injury or illness must be substantiated to the Claims Department.
