These favourable results mean that, over the next 10 years, Marseille Provence Airport will continue to implement its major investment plan totalling 500 million. This w ill enable the airport to welcome over 11 million passengers in Consolidation of a healthy financial situation Over 2017, turnover at Marseille Provence Airport (AMP) continued to rise and achieved a level of 140 million in 2017, an increase of 5% compared to The operating margin (gross operating surplus/revenue) exceeded the 30% threshold for the first time in a result of operating costs being tightly controlled. The low level of current debt ( 13 million) provides the confidence to pursue external funding of 100 million for the five-year investment programme for : the threshold of 9 million passengers is broken! By the end of December, Marseille Provence Airport had welcomed 9,002,086 passengers. This resulted in a 6.2% increase in passenger numbers for 2017, equating to 526,277 additional passengers. A s ymbolic threshold had been broken. Passenger number records were exceeded every month throughout /8

2 Passenger numbers in Terminal 1 (previously concourses 1 to 4) grew by 4.2% i n 2017, and numbers in Terminal 2 (previously mp²) rose sharply by 12.8%, reaching a total of 2,400,948 passengers. Domestic traffic grew by 2.4% between 2016 and 2017, reaching a total of 3,560,634 passengers. A growth of 9% in international traffic International traffic saw the greatest growth in 2017, with 5,361,235 passengers (+9%). International traffic now represents 60% of the airport s traffic, a growth of 1 percent compared to > Short and medium -haul routes, with low cost airlines Ryanair, eas yjet, Vueling and Volotea seeing the greatest growth: > Ryanair, with the popularity of destinations such as Faro and Valencia, > easyjet, with its new flights to London Luton, Venice and Berlin, > Volotea with destinations such as Vienna, Split and Alicante, > Vueling became one of the Top 10 airline companies operating out of AMP thanks to the popularity of its route to Algiers which was launched in November London remains the top international destinat ion leaving from Marseille Provence Airport, recording for the second year running a growth of nearly 7% in 2017 with 589,559 passengers. > For long-haul flights, 2017 will be a notable year for the increase in traffic between Marseille and Montreal (+80%), thanks to the arrival of Air Canada Rouge and the continued growth of Air Transat which operates 8 direct flights a week. 3 At a national level, routes to Paris Orly and CDG have unsurprisingly retained their pole position in terms of traffic level. 2018: expansion of air services is still the priority The expansion of air services and increase in passenger numbers should be set to continue in 2018, offering great opportunities to the people of Marseille, Provence and the wider area. For the 2018 summer season, direct flights to 107 destinations will be offered from Marseille to 27 countries. A total of 160 scheduled routes will be serviced by 33 scheduled airlines. 21 new routes opened up for short and medium -haul flights! 21 new scheduled routes have already been announced for the summer season (beginn ing at the end of March 2018) in comparison with the 2017 summer season. Volotea, with the announcement of a new hub from April 2018, has unveiled 9 new destinations for the summer season. Biarritz, Caen, Corfu, M ykonos, Santorini, Heraklion, Minorca, Palm a and Funchal. 5 The 2018 forecast for long-haul flight traffic: +24% Long-haul flight traffic is predicted to increase by 24% in This forecast is primarily based on the following developments: > XL Airways, who will be operating the 1 st flights to the West Indies from January to April, > Aigle Azur, who will be adding a weekly flight to its route to Dakar, > an additional increase i n the number of available seats on flights to Montreal, > the continuation of flights to Réunion with Air Austral, > a doubling in the number of charter flights from Seoul with Korean Air. Various other increases in capacity are also anticipated. Lufthansa is worth noting in particular as they are adding an early m orning daily flight to Frankfurt - perfect for business passengers. These 7 flights will be in addition to the 14 weekly flights which Lufthansa already operates to this hub. Turkish Airlines will be operating a twice daily flight on its route to Istanbul (+ 4 flights a week) from June to September. Other new air services may be announced soon. Freight: Marseille Provence airport is packed! The airport broke records, handling 56,132 tonnes of freight in W ith nearly 50,000 tonnes handled by express delivery providers, Marseille Provence airport has retained its position as the No. 1 French airport and airport in the Western Mediterranean for express freight. DHL has moved to the number o ne position amongst the airport s express delivery providers, due to the investments it made to its infrastructure over the last years (an additional surface area of 1400m² for 14 million of investment). It is closely followed by by Chronopost. Traditional freight has been particularly impressive in 2017, seeing a growth of 9.4% for over 6,100 tonnes handled. It has benefited in particular from the arrival of the Air Canada and Air Austral airlines, and the transportation of 2,080 tonnes of cargo by Air Algérie. Several investments made for a better quality of service In 2017, some of the building work form ing part of the CAP 2025 strategic plan has been realised. It has all contributed to providing the best welcome to passengers. > The major reorganisation programme of the airport s accessibility and road system was completed with the opening in October o f the new bus station and new landscaped pedestrian zone in front of the terminals. 6 > The implementation of a new system of signs in November and new names for the car parks, concourses and terminals (Terminal 1 and 2 in place of concourses 1 to 4 and mp²), > Major renovation and upgrading work to improve comfort in the terminals saw a commitment of 140 million - a new record for levels of investment. New landscaped pedestrian zone in front of the terminals And for the future? In 2018, in order to continue with the CAP 2025 and to position Marseille Provence airport as the model for European airports in terms of quality of service and operational efficienc y, the total amount of investment will increase further to 140 million. >Extension and renovation of Terminal 2 In 2018, the low-cost airline Terminal 2 (previously mp²) will become the central focus. By expanding the existing terminal building, 2 extra aeroplane stations will be created, as well as two new boarding lounges an d a new baggage claim area. The additional capacity of the terminal will be about 2,800m². The 6 existing boarding lounges will be reconfigured for improved light, space and comfort. 7 This project, which represents an investment of around 10 million, will be finished at the start of the 2018 summer season. Extension and modernisation of the Terminal 2 boarding lounges > Continuation of investments to renovate and extend Terminal 1 In 2018, AMP will continue with preparatory studies for the creation o f its new airport hub. This project has been assigned to the architect Norman Foster and was unveiled last November. Alongside this, AMP will continue with the modernisation of the terminals with the addition of new furnishings, work on the sanitary fac ilities, the creation of work areas and play areas for children, new baggage check -in points and automated border control gates (PARAFE 23 facility). 8 2018: accessibility to public transport increased In 2017, 1.46 million passengers used public transport to arrive at or leave the airport. This is equivalent to one passenger in 7 and 4000 passengers on average per day. This is a growth of 6.7% compared to The modal share of passengers using public transport thus represents 16.2%. 98 towns have a daily connection to Marseille Provence Airport. The départements of Haute Garonne, Gironde and Isère which did not enjoy a public transport provision are now connected via Toulouse, Bordeaux, Grenoble, Vienna and Le Péage de Roussillon. As a result, there are 24 new towns which have benefited from a direct link to Marseille Provence Airport.
