The software has no intention to reproduce the original logbooks printed by companies like ASA, Jeppesen, Pilot Warehouse, Transair, Aviation World and VIP Pilot Centre. The user may only use the software to print self-adhesive labels that can be pasted into the original purchased paper logbook! None of the logbook formats generated by the software, including the generic format, have been approved by any aviation authority. The user may contact the local aviation authority to obtain approval, however only for the generic mccpilotlog logbook format! Privacy The user allows the author to store one or more copies of the database on the author's server, named mcccloud, and on the author back-office drives. The author shall never share, distribute, publish or sell private data or database contents from the user to any third party, including pilots from the same airline company as the user, or the company itself. With the only purpose of protecting the user from loss of data, the software monitors the user's backup behaviour, and makes an emergency backup to the mcccloud internet server once in a while. The emergency backup feature is active for all users, including the Standard Edition (free installation). The database is password protected. The emergency backup feature is always active, however it can be manually disabled on request of the user. 7
8 Author mccpilotlog, mccroster, mccpilotcal and mcccloud are software products from MCC bvba. Visit the website for more information about our company : mccroster mccroster is an independent calendar app for flight crew and cabin crew. This mobile app : - downloads the flight roster from AIMS, Sabre CWP and CrewDock (*) - parses and stores all planned duties in the local app database - displays the roster in a calendar table and allows the user to view the roster offline - exports the roster to the OS default Calendar app (*) Supported airlines are listed on Verify the website prior to purchasing the user license! There is no data exchange between mccpilotlog and mccroster! mccpilotcal mccpilotcal is mobile application for iphone and Android to convert aviation units, decode snowtams, calculate speeds and wind triangle and convert money currencies. 8
9 Software Editions mccpilotlog comes in 3 editions : the Standard Edition (free) is a complete logbook on PC/Mac with basic functions. You can store an unlimited number of flights in the database and the application does not expire with time! the Profession Edition (PRO) unlocks all functions on the PC/Mac, such as the Airline interface, automatic backups to remote devices, Google Earth display, etc. the Entreprise Edition (ENT) enables mcccloud backup and data synchronization with other devices, such as another PC/Mac, mobile phones and tablets. Helpdesk All users, including pilots running the free Standard Edition, can contact the Helpdesk. Our Helpdesk is available 24 / 7 also on holidays. We recommend to contact the Helpdesk straight from the application. Click the Helpdesk icon (the little man with the green or red LED light) on the Home page to generate an or to connect to the helpdesk web-form. You can select your preference ( or web-form) on the Tools Helpdesk Support page. 9
10 Understanding Time Modes & Time Zones mccroster can run in 2 time modes, UTC or BASE time. Switching between times modes is allowed and does not affect records already in the database or events exported to your OS Calendar. UTC TIME The flight is logged with Departure and Arrival Hour referenced to UTC world time. Info : UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinated, also known as Z (Zulu time) and also as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time Greenwich is a small town in the UK near the zero degrees East-West meridian). BASE TIME The flight is logged with reference to the local time at the Home Base, regardless of any local times at the airfields. The Home Base from the Settings page is used. Note : Changing the Home Base on the Settings page applies to new down-loads only. Records in the database remain stored with reference to the previous Home Base! Caution : Airlines that have crew based in different countries e.g. you fly for EasyJet and you are based in CDG It appears that AIMS ecrews is showing the wrong Local Base hours in the HTML file! "Local Base" hours shown by AIMS are referenced to the headquarters of the airline (e.g. EasyJet in Lutton) and not Local Time at your home base airfield (e.g. CDG), even if that airfield is listed in the header of the AIMS HTML file! As such mccroster is receiving invalid event times. You cannot use BASE Time mode in this particular case. LOCAL TIME The flight is logged with Departure time and Arrival time referenced to local time at Departure airfield and local time at Arrival airfield. These airfields can be in the same Time Zone or in different Time Zones. Local Time cannot be user selected and is shown only on the Event Info page. Note : Events other than flights (Duty Type 2 and 3) are referenced to Local Time at the Home Base (entered on the Settings page). Should the event (e.g. a simulator check ride) not be in the same time zone as your Home Base, Local Time indication is invalid! 10
11 DEVICE TIME Mobile devices usually switch to local time at destination during a layover. Timings displayed in mccroster do not change, but remain referenced to UTC or BASE as per your selection on the Settings page. This is to avoid any confusion about your next day sign-in time, should you check your roster at outstation in a different time zone. However, events exported by mccroster to your OS Calendar automatically adapt to Device Time wherever you travel or wherever you sleep. As such, your wake-up call should always be correct, whatever time mode your phone is set! Importance Notice Time Zones and especially DST (Summer Time) rules are no exact science. Rules often change for political, economical or religious reasons. Last minute changes by the government may cause mccroster to show invalid Local times or invalid Base times. UTC time is always correct. Should you notice any error with Time Zones please contact the helpdesk immediately through the Helpdesk page inside the app. Handling times across the world is far more complicated than one would expect. The arrival airfield may be located in the same or in a different time zone as the departure airfield. One country may still be in winter time, while the other country or region already made the switch to summer time. Local authorities may opt to deviate from the standard rule and align DST changeover with another nearby time zone Furthermore, your mobile phone usually switches to local time during your hotel layover. Downloading your roster during your layover makes a difference (from a technical viewpoint) then downloading the same roster when back home mccroster is taking care of these issues to the best extent. However, errors cannot be excluded. 11

It will indeed be printed in those 3 columns. On the Logbook - Logbook Format page, you can choose whether or not to include Simulator time in your total time. Most pilots have that option turned OFF. Actual Instrument (= IMC) and Simulator Instrument (= Hood) are both for real aircraft only and should not be used for Simulator training. We do not have a box for "Instruction Received". The "Instructor box" should be used for the Instructor only and is considered Instruction Given. OOK link naar Lasors zelf opmaken in Word 42
