3 Your chauffeur to bauma: public transit and taxis. Public transport in Munich (MVV) brings you straight to bauma 2019 without wasting time looking for a parking lot or due to traffic jams. Our tip: especially on the busy days of Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13, public transportation will be the fastest. Subway The subway (U-Bahn) line U2 takes you to the stops Messestadt West and Messestadt Ost. During the rush hours on all bauma days, the U2 runs every 3 minutes. Suburban train You can also take the suburban train (S-Bahn) to bauma. Please exit the S2 line at stop Riem. From there, the bus line 190 brings you to Messestadt West. Alternatively, the Entrance West of the trade fair center is a 15-minute walk away. Or you can take the S4 to Trudering and then line U2 to Messestadt Ost. Fare Travel time Frequency Subway see ticket recommendation less than 20 min from central station every 3 min Suburban train see ticket recommendation S2 approx. 20 min from central station S4 and U2 approx. 30 min from central station every 10 min Your MVV ticket to bauma For you to conveniently use the public transportation in the greater Munich area, we have the following ticket recommendations: Exhibitor Season Ticket This special ticket for exhibitors costs EUR 36 and is valid for the whole trade show period from April 7 to 14, This ticket entitles you to use all means of transport in the entire MVV network also to the airport and is available in the Exhibitor Shop or from our competent MVV ticket counter staff at the Entrance West, the Entrance East and at the Entrance South (outdoor area). Single Day Ticket for visitors Single Day Tickets are ideal for visitors: they cost EUR 13 and are valid for all means of transportation in the entire MVV network (including airport). You can purchase these and any other MVV ticket at the ticket machines at the stops or from our competent MVV ticket counter staff at the Entrance West, the Entrance East and at the Entrance South (outdoor area). Your mobile MVV ticket All MVV tickets can also be purchased via the bauma App, which is available from March It is linked to the app of the Munich Transportation Corporation (MVG): you simply pay by credit card or direct debit and your ticket is then stored directly on your mobile phone. Taxi If you wish to travel by taxi between the airport, hotel and trade fair center, the taxi stands are just a few steps away: directly in front of the terminals at the airport and at all entrances of the trade fair center (except for the entrance to the Outdoor Area South) as well as in front of the ICM. 5 Park + Ride: parking lot shuttle service. Coming by car? There are special parking facilities for bauma participants. From there you can take a free shuttle bus or public transport directly to the exhibition grounds. The respective parking garages and areas are marked in the bauma plan on page 14. Please note that some of these lots are subject to a fee and may be occupied if there are many visitors to bauma. How to get to the fair: A94 Exit 4, Am Moosfeld A94 Exit 5, München-Riem A94 Exit 6, Feldkirchen-West A99 Exit 16, Aschheim / Ismaning Traffic management system instead of GPS All main access routes to bauma 2019 are signposted with a modern traffic guidance system. That s why we recommend switching off your GPS shortly before arrival at the trade fair center and following the current displays. You will be guided to the nearest free parking lot.
