Download the Gothia Cup APP on your phone ASAP. Groups have been posted. Schedules will be out soon. Packing One suitcase. One carry-on. Pack layers with a light rain jacket and light rain pants. Kids can bring one small pillow if needed. One is provided in the schools but it can be a comfort. Uniforms Uniforms should arrive anytime now. Pack the uniform and cleats in the carry-on. Phones Cell phones can be set up prior to leaving on an International plan. Verizon is $10 a day only when you use it but you must call your provider and let them know. Money You can use debit cards to get money in Kinna on Friday, Varberg on Saturday and Gothenberg the rest of the week. You may not be able to change cash into Swedish money until Sunday in Gothenberg. Let your bank know you are leaving the country before we go. Debit cards are easiest.

7 Ryerson Soccer Traveling Tips Important Info: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PASSPORT TO TRAVEL, BRING IT TO THE AIRPORT! Pack 3 to 5 days in advance and make sure all your clothes are clean Take all your uniforms, (game and practice shirts and shorts), socks, shoes, shin guards with you in a back pack as a carry-on. That way you have your uniform if your luggage is lost. Label / write your name or initials on the tags inside your uniforms (washing purposes) If you have any medical issues or allergies please advise. Traveling Tips: Do not leave your luggage unattended at anytime, especially at the airport. If someone asks you to hold or carry something for them, DON T. Do not accept anything from anyone especially at the airport. Make several copies of your passport and medical insurance card. Pack a copy in different parts of your luggage. Carry a copy with you and leave a copy at home. Always travel within our group (airport and in Sweden) Call 112 if there is an emergency while in Sweden, this is like 911 in the USA Always lock your luggage or backpacks if possible Carry limited cash, try to utilize pre-paid debit/credit cards if possible. Don t ever leave valuables behind (get a backpack put all labeled valuables inside) Listen to all safety procedures, so you will be prepared. If you see suspicious behavior, stay away from them and report to an adult. Keep emergency numbers with you or program them in your phone. If you have to think twice about if something is wrong to do, then it is probably wrong, so don t do it. Be respectful of all cultures and religious differences Respect all laws while in Sweden. What to pack and how to pack: BRING MULTIPLE OPTIONS OF CLEATS AS YOU WILL PLAY ON DIFFERENT SURFACES DURING THE TOURNAMENT. (WET GROUND, FIRM GROUND, TURF)

8 Bring Comfortable clothes to wear while in Sweden. Try to mix and match your clothes, but don t over pack, be efficient. Extra pair of comfortable sneakers. You should pack to have one suitcase to check in and one backpack to carry-on. Take a small pillow to carry and use on the plane if needed, pillows and bed linens are provided. Pack at least 2 towels, regular size. Pack a small umbrella, and rain poncho. Have a pair of flip-flops to wear in the shower with you. Tag your luggage with a bright ribbon or tag. Carry-on luggage backpack Make sure your passport, medical insurance, money, Swedish money, medicines are in your carryon or backpack, along with things to keep you busy, books, ipod, snacks etc. Carry a couple small toiletries (toothbrush, paste, etc). Toiletries to Include: Toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, rinse, comb, brush, body soap, shavers, shave cream-or use soap, cu-tips, Kleenex, deodorant, lotion, body spray, sunscreen, mosquito spray, a travel mirror. Other things to consider: Band-aids, nail clippers, medications, aspirin, stomach meds, motion sickness, allergy meds, contacts and contact solution, glasses, sun glasses, sleeping mask, ear plugs, zip lock bags for wet clothing. Hats for shade, 2 week supply of underwear, pajamas, socks, sandals, 2 pairs of sneakers. Snacks, Snacks, Snacks are encouraged to be packed for the week.
