15 EXERCISE 4: Training Specification Objective Task Develop a simple training specification, similar to the ICAO example, using a given scenario In your respective team (TWR/APP/ACC), read the scenario provided, and explore the training specification template. In group, fill in the blanks using the information found in the scenario Time 15 minutes + 15 minutes 15

16 Team TWR : Courchevel altiport (France) ICAO: LFLJ Runway: 04/ m (1,762 ft) Serving Courchevel, a ski resort in the French Alps. One very short runway with a gradient of 18.6%. No go-around procedure, due to the surrounding mountainous terrain. Primarily used by small fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. No instrument approach procedure or lighting aids, thus making landing in fog and low clouds unsafe and almost impossible. The airport is considered dangerous, as it features a difficult approach, an upslope runway and ski runs in the adjacent area. It is named after the Brazilian aviation pioneer Alberto Santos Dumont ( ). Santos Dumont has slot restrictions operating with a maximum of 19 operations/hour, being one of the five airports with such restrictions in Brazil. It is a hub for Avianca Brazil, Azul Brazilian Airlines, Gol Airlines, LATAM Brazil and Passaredo Linhas Aéreas and serves 18+ destinations in Brazil, such as: Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Florianópolis, São Paulo Guarulhos. 18 Team AREA: Hong Kong ACC (Hong Kong) ICAO: VHHK Chek Lap Kok Int l Airport One of two key ACC in the Pearl River Delta and is under the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department. Provides en route and terminal control services to aircraft in the Hong Kong FIR. Covers the waters off Hong Kong to the south, southeast and southwest. This does not include the airspace and immediate waters off the mainland China and Macau (under Guangzhou FIR).
