4 EGAS About The Block Location: El Matariya Onshore Block comprises the recent relinquishment of West El Manzala and El Mansoura Concessions. It is located onshore, in the northeastern part of the Nile Delta cone, at approximately km to the west of Port Said city. The northeastern boundary of the block runs sub-parallel to the Mediterranean shoreline with its eastern part straddling the Damietta Branch of the Nile River. El Matariya Onshore Block is situated directly to the south and east of the Abu Madi gas field; the first commercial gas-condensate find discovered onshore Nile Delta in 9.
