8 EGAS Ministry of Petroleum About The Block Location: North El Salhiya Onshore Block comprises the recent relinquishments of West El Qantara and West El Manzala Concessions. It is located onshore, directly to the east of the Nile Delta cone, at approximately 7 km to the southwest of Port Said city. The area of the block is situated between the Damietta Branch of the Nile River (to the west) and the Suez Canal (to the east); with the northern part partially overlapped by Manzala Lake. The block is bordered from the west by the West El Qantara and West El Manzala acreages. Block 1 Total Area: 1527 Km 2 Seismic Surveys : 3D Seismic Surveys W. 16 EGAS Ministry of Petroleum About The Block Location: North El Mahala Onshore Block comprises the recent relinquishment of El Mansoura Concession and lies onshore, in the eastern part of the Nile Delta cone. The block is situated at approximately 60 km to the WSW of Port Said city, with its western part straddling the Damietta Branch of the Nile River. The western boundary of the block is bordered by the Disouq Concession and its eastern boundary by the West El Qantara Concession. It is located offshore Mediterranean Sea, directly to the northwest of El Arish city. North El Fayrouz Block extends some 53 km northward from the Mediterranean shoreline (which forms its southern boundary) in water depths ranging between 0 m and 450 m. The block lies at approximately 166 km to the NE and 203 km to the NW of Port Said and El Arish cities respectively. The southern boundary of North Port Faoud is situated some 160 km to the north of the shoreline, with its northern boundary extending for additional 56 km in water depths ranging between 1050 m and 1400 m. The block lies at approximately 220 km to the NE and 170 km to the NW of Alexandria and Port Said cities respectively. The southern boundary of the block lies some 170 km to the north of the Mediterranean shoreline, while its northern boundary extends for additional 77 km northward, and is formed by Egypt s economic water border. It is located offshore Mediterranean Sea, in front of the Nile Delta Cone, at approximately 210 km to the north of Alexandria city.
