2 TAILOR-MADE ITINERARY Sunday, 11 February 2018: Arrival in Johannesburg and onto Sun City Upon arrival at OR Tambo Airport, off flight BA 55 at 07h15, you will be met in the arrivals hall by our representative from Wilro Tours. He will hand over your travel packs and transfer you to Sun City, where you spend 2 nights. The day is at leisure at Sun City and you can enjoy the entertainment on offer from the casinos, Valley of the Waves, Theatre, Cinemas, Shows, Cultural Village, Golf, Spa Centre and various other activities. Accommodation: The Palace of the Lost City Basis: Bed & Breakfast Monday, 12 February 2018: Sun City Suggested: Activities at Sun City Have fun exploring Sun City. There are two golf courses: the Lost City Golf Course and the Gary Player Golf Course designed by the maestro himself and home to the world famous Million Dollar Golf Classic. Play a round of golf to remember. Take a stroll through the indigenous gardens, which have been declared a National Botanical Garden. Be dazzled by an extravaganza show in the Sun City Superbowl Theatre or try your luck in the Casinos. The Valley of Waves at Sun City is one of the most advanced water parks in the world. It is dominated by the Roaring Lagoon, a 6,500-square metre wave pool with a palm-fringed beach. The water park also has five exhilarating flume rides. Adjoining the Resort is the 55,000 hectare malaria-free Pilanesberg National Game Park, home to South Africa s Big 5 Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Scheduled day and night-time game drives depart from Sun City daily. Enjoy an elephant back ride at the elephant sanctuary. The following watersports are also on offer: Parasailing, Jetski, Tsala (daily boat cruise at 12h00 and 16h30), Water-ski & water-ski lessons, Pedal boat, Sailing boat, Watersnake, Wake-board & wake-board lessons. It is also possible to rent mountain bikes and quad bikes or to explore the bushveld on horseback (caters for beginner to advanced riders). Alternatively, soar above the bushveld in a hot air balloon.

4 Accommodation: Madikwe Safari Lodge Basis: Fully Inclusive Activities: Daily Safari Programme in Madikwe Wednesday to Friday, 14 to 16 February 2018: Madikwe Game Reserve The 76,000 hectare Madikwe Game Reserve is one of South Africa s biggest wildlife sanctuaries and is home to the Big 5 and over 340 bird species. It is especially famous for its packs of African Wild Dog and it is malaria-free. It is about 4 hours by road from Johannesburg. Madikwe is situated in the transition region between two vegetation types: Lowveld bushveld and Kalahari thornveld. As a result, the region is able to host to an incredible diversity of species. In addition to wild dog, cheetah, lion, white and black rhino, buffalo and elephant, Madikwe is home to a wide range of plains game, such as giraffe, zebra and many antelope species. Madikwe s game viewing is of a very high standard, aided by the fact that all game rangers are in radio contact with one another. There is a strict code of conduct and animal sightings are generally limited to a maximum of 3 vehicles at one time in order to maintain the feeling of exclusivity and to ensure the animals well-being. 6 SUN CITY - The Palace of the Lost City ACCOMMODATION The Palace of the Lost City is Sun City s flagship hotel. It is a member of Leading Hotels of the World and is one of the world s best hotels in every regard. The Palace of the Lost City is an opulent over-the-top architectural and decorative extravaganza. The imposing exterior is breathtaking, while the interiors features mosaics, frescoes and hand-painted ceilings, all paying tribute to the art and nature heritage of South Africa in grand style. The hotel takes its architectural and interior design themes from a fantasy of a lost African tribe. The fantasy legend recalls that the Palace was built by an ancient civilisation, but was destroyed by an earthquake. The Palace was re-discovered and restored to the splendour of former days. There are hanging gardens, jungle, streams, waterfalls and swimming pools. The Palace s luxurious rooms and suites are uniquely decorated to reflect the Lost City theme. The Palace of the Lost City accommodation is made up of four presidential suites, six junior suites, six superior junior suites, 229 luxury rooms, 35 luxury pool-facing rooms, 55 family rooms and three paraplegic rooms. There are two gourmet restaurants offering fine dining.

7 MADIKWE GAME RESERVE Madikwe Safari Lodge Madikwe Safari Lodge is situated where the Kalahari merges with the Bushveld and abundant wildlife thrives. It offers intimate accommodation with sweeping views over the game-filled plains with the Dwarsberg range forming a purple-hued backdrop. Lelapa, which means family in the local Tswana dialect, is exactly that. It has the spirit and comfort of being at a home and is the Lodge where children are welcome. There are 12 stone and thatched suites, all linked by walkways that meander through the bush. Each airconditioned suite has an en-suite bathroom, with both indoor and outdoor shower. Each suite also has its own private plunge pool. The main lodge houses a lounge area with game viewing deck. Dinners are served outdoors under the African stars in the Boma. As Lelapa is their child-friendly lodge, there are two family suites and a children s playroom. The children s safari programme includes family game drives for children aged 2-6 years, bush orientation (eg learning which tree to use to make a toothbrush or which trees have edible properties, finding their direction in the bush, making a campfire and finding water), Bug CSI (identifying different insects), dung tracking (identifying different animal dung), making plaster of paris casts of animal tracks, etc. Children aged 6 and older may join the adult game drives. A special children s menu is also available. At Madikwe Safari Lodge, daily safari activities include two game drives and a bushwalk with an exceptional game ranger. There are regular sightings of zebra, impala, wildebeest, giraffe, warthog, white & black rhino, lion, wild dog, elephant, brown hyena, and spotted hyena.

8 INCLUDED ACTIVITIES: DAILY SAFARI PROGRAMME IN MADIKWE After an early-morning wake-up call, you set off on your morning game drive. Madikwe is one of South Africa s largest sanctuaries and has a rich biodiversity of mammals, such as Africa s Big Five, cheetah, wild dog, brown and spotted hyena, oryx, eland, springbok & ostrich. You return to the lodge for a mid-morning brunch. There is time between game drives to relax on the deck with a good book, do some bird-watching (Madikwe has more than 250 recorded species of bird) or, if you are feeling more energetic, do a game walk with your game ranger. High tea is served in the late afternoon, before you set off on an evening game drive through the untamed wilderness of the Kalahari Thornveld. The late evening is when predators are more active and it is also an opportunity to see animals such as aardvark and caracal. You return to the lodge for a safari cuisine dinner in the open-air boma.
