2 SUMMARY Travel dates (in Tanzania): 19 August 2018 to 30 August 2018 Length of Stay in Tanzania: 12 days / 11 nights Experiences: Big-5 Photographic Safaris, Great Wildebeest Migration of Serengeti National Park, Wildlife Conservation Education, and Cultural & Culinary Immersions DESTINATION HIGHLIGHTS Arusha: The gateway to Tanzania s Northern wildlife parks, Arusha is also an eclectic town that melds local Tanzanian as well as European influences. Often called the Switzerland of Africa, Arusha has beautiful museums and art galleries, as well as places to shop for local artwork (paintings, sculptures, masks) as well as jewelry (TANZANITE, etc.) Tarangire National Park: Although not as well known as its neighbors, Ngorongoro and Serengeti, Tarangire is a wildlife gem in its own right. This is the place where you can see some of the largest herds of elephants with the biggest tuskers in Tanzania. Tarangire also has a good-sized predator population, iconic herbivores like giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, impala, etc. as well as wonderful birdlife. Ngorongoro Conservation Area: Often called The Garden of Eden because of the variety and density of wildlife, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most breathtaking places in the world. It has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reason. Serengeti National Park: In the Maasai language, Serengeti means Endless Plains. And that is exactly what this most famous of African parks is...a very large savannah/grassland area that is teeming with all the iconic African wildlife species living in an unadulterated, natural habitat. The location of several National Geographic shows and specials, Serengeti is also home to The Great Wildebeest & Zebra Migration!

3 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY August 19: Upon arrival, you will be met at Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport by our Certified English-speaking driver / wildlife guide. You will be escorted to your 4X4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. o Accommodation: Rivertrees Country Inn. Meals included: Breakfast only. o Website: August 20: After breakfast, you will be driven to Tarangire National Park, a wildlife haven for large herds of elephants and other mammals, reptiles, and birds. You will have lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, you will have your first wildlife safari and game drive in Tarangire. o Accommodation: Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Meals included: All meals. o Website: August 21: You will have the full day of safari game drives in Tarangire National Park. Meals and overnight stay will be at Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Meals included: All meals. August 22: In the morning, you will enjoy a safari game drive in Tarangire, followed by breakfast at your lodge. After checking out, you will be driven to Karatu, a lovely little town in the Ngorongoro Area for lunch at your new lodge, Gibb s Farm. The afternoon will be at your leisure, and you can participate in a walk around the lodge, enjoy the breathtaking scenery, and/or witness local village life. o Accommodation: Gibb s Farm. Meals included: All meals. o Website: August 23: You will wake up early and have a hot beverage along with a light snack/breakfast. Then you will be driven to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater known as the Garden of Eden because of the rich density and diversity of wildlife and birdlife found here. For lunch, you will stop by a lake that is home to a large family of hippos and have an enjoyable picnic. In the late afternoon, you will return to Gibb s Farm in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay. Meals included: All meals. August 24: After breakfast, you will depart for Central Serengeti National Park. En route, optional stop over (at extra cost) at Olduvai Gorge for a tour of the paleo-anthropological site and museum. You will also enjoy wildlife viewing on your drive to Central Serengeti, which is world famous for its Big Cats (Lions, Leopards, and Cheetahs). You will also see other carnivores (Hyenas, Jackals, etc.) as well as herbivores (Zebras, Gazelles, Giraffes, Elephants, etc.) o Accommodation: Kubu Kubu Tented Camp. 4 August 25 and August 26: You will enjoy two (2) full days of wildlife safaris in Central Serengeti. Meals and overnight stay at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp. Meals included: All meals. August 27: After breakfast, you will check out of Kubu Kubu and proceed to Northern Serengeti (where the Great Wildebeest Migration herds will be in August). You will have lunch at your new luxury tented camp, Mara Under Canvas. In the afternoon, you will go on a wildlife safari game drive to experience the amazing Great Wildebeest Migration with a chance to see the Mara River Crossings ( o Accommodation: Mara Under Canvas. Meals included: All meals. o Website: August 28 and August 29: Two (2) full days of wildlife experiences and safari drives in Northern Serengeti National Park, featuring the Great Wildebeest Migration in its full splendor! Optional activities such as a Hot Air Balloon safari (where you will see the Serengeti from the air, in a hot air balloon) and a Bush Breakfast (breakfast in the middle of the Serengeti savannah) can be arranged at extra cost. Meals and overnight stay at Mara Under Canvas. August 30: After a morning game drive and early breakfast, you will be taken to the nearby airstrip for your charter flight to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, our representative will meet you and road-transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight back home. ***END OF OUR SERVICES***

5 PRICING Per person for guests sharing their room or tent with one other guest: $6,985 per person This package pricing includes: Domestic flight within Tanzania (i.e. Serengeti to Arusha on August 30 th ), as described in the itinerary, in Economy Class. Airport meet & greet. Furthermore, I acknowledge that this itinerary supersedes and replaces any and all previous itineraries, plans or promises made by FTJ and/or its founders, owners, employees, or representative.
