As you read through the following pages, look for the hikes you ve enjoyed in the past. If you can be involved this year to make these hikes happen again, plan to attend the Hiking Team planning meeting in early April. Myron Weiskopf info@sundanceoutdoor.org ABOUT SUNDANCE Sundance is a not-for-profit corporation whose primary purpose is to provide the New York metropolitan area gay and lesbian community with a variety of outdoor, noncompetitive activities. Sundance relies entirely on the volunteer efforts of its members to carry out this purpose. A Board of Directors administers club business. Team captains coordinate events and schedule meetings for planning specific types of outdoor activities. Outing leaders conduct the actual events. While outing leaders do have some knowledge and skills in the outings they conduct, they are not experts and no participant should rely on another s skills. Participants should understand that some Sundance outings may pose certain risks of injury. Each outing participant understands that neither Sundance nor any Sundance member will be responsible for any personal injury or property damage that may be sustained during an outing. Sundance is governed by a set of bylaws, the resolutions of the Board of Directors, and a handbook which all members are expected to read and understand. A membership directory is provided for the personal use of members only. Use of the directory for commercial purposes and without the prior written consent of the Board is prohibited and may result in revocation of membership privileges.
