Black iver ark Views of Black iver ark he scenic trail on the property is level and suitable for walking for all ages. he gold-marked path within the park is approximately.85 miles, and has a small loop. ost of the trail is along the Black iver, and has some dips and roots to cross. hings to look for: a beautiful line of cedar trees, which shaded horses in their past, and two bridges to cross a stream. here s a small hill, which used to be a ski hill. pair of swans are often seen in Black iver ond, as well as turtles. Beavers attempt to dam the river from time to time. he far end of the trail connects with trails leading to ine ill and andolph. arking: 1 ain treet, uccasunna. Visit Ice ge rail at rben ark ur newest trail includes a 1.5 mile hike offering beautiful views from the top of the ridge line, over looking t. rlington and anding. ome steep areas, trekking up and down the hillside. n a clear day, llamuchy ountain can be seen. arking: 9 rben rive, anding. orseshoe ake ark s bike path connection to est orris reenway orseshoe ake s paved Bike ath circles the entire park, and is 1.65 miles in distance. he connection to the trail is located at the southeastern corner of the long bike path (behind the oxbury ay are enter, where paved bike path parallels railroad tracks. he wide path crosses ighter oad and continues on an easement through a beautiful, level route along the 's property, perfect for walking or biking. his connection goes out to leasant ill oad in andolph; this distance is 1.5 miles, or a 3-mile round trip. From there, the path narrows, and continues to leasant ill oad in hester. 5 njoy a hike on the natural, earthy trails of oxbury... edgewood ark/orris anal ark ogether, these parks are comprised of over 250 acres of forest, offering a pond and hiking trails. here are two trails in the park, the gold and blue trails, which partially overlap one another. hese trails have wet areas to cross, which are more challenging during the spring season. he gold trail, which is 1.35 miles, has challenging, narrow, and rocky areas. he top offers a scenic northern view. here are large rock outcroppings along the trail. he blue trail is.9 miles long, and is largely a a wide, unpaved easement road, making it a great trail for children. here are elevation changes and rocky areas along the trail, plus some wet areas to cross. emnants of the orris anal are currently being restored. arking: mmans oad, edgewood; between #8 and #10 mmans oad. arden rail fun walk behind the ommunity arden, 1/4 mile long. reat for kids. arking: 281 yland ve., uccasunna. Bikes in trees at Veterans ark his beautiful park offers 240 acres of wooded land containing four marked hiking trails, which require different levels of ability. he blue trail, accessible at two separate trailheads, is mostly an unpaved easement road with slight hills. uitable for walking and biking at most levels of ability; length of trail is one mile. hings to look for: large rock outcroppings, and two dirt bikes about 25 up in the trees. he gold trail, accessible on atricia rive and also at an intersection off of the blue trail, is a challenging trail. It winds through the woods and is very narrow and rocky in places, with a distance of ½ mile. hings to look for: scenic overlook of uccasunna valley, able ock, and other rock outcroppings. ew ed rail! his addition explores the eastern side of ooney ountain. Berkshire Valley ark is a neighborhood playground with a 1/8 mile walking path, surrounding a baseball field. his park includes a newly renovated tennis court, plus a court lined for basketball, street hockey and Foursquare. ocation: 79 ill oad, harton. Kiwanis ark offers a new playground, lighted baseball fields, and three lighted tennis courts. ocation: 9 akin ane, uccasunna. anding ark ecreation omplex includes three sodded softball fields with sport field lighting, concession stand, bathrooms, an exciting playground for all ages including a 12 ft. tower and climbing rocks, picnic tables and a halfmile walking path. ocation: 165 anding oad, anding. edgewood ark/orris anal ark together are comprised of over 250 acres of forest land, offering a fishing pond and hiking trails.
