Continue south onto Spruceville Rd Beaver Creek State Park, Beaver Creek Horseman's Association Day Use Only, Overnight Camping or Both: Both Trailhead parking description: Paved driveway to mostly sloping grassy parking Trailhead horse facilities: Over 100 primitive camping sites. Tie lines, manure bins, water buffalo on holiday & special events weekends. Mounting platform with steps near bulletin board. Trailhead human facilities: Primitive, outhouses including handicapped outhouses & wheel chair accessible mounting ramp just off the pavement. Sun shower, picnic pavilion and large fire pit. Swing sets

2 TRAIL 1 Handicapped Rider Trail - SILVER HORSESHOES Walk only about 1 mile Wide enough for horse and side walkers, mostly wooded. Accessible from wheelchair ramp just off paved driveway. Dirt and gravel, mostly dry Mostly dry Some muddy spots/ frozen during sub freezing temps No stream or major road crossings Occasional tree roots hazardous to side walkers (mark as appropriate)

3 TRAIL 2 Leisure Loop - BLUE TRAIL Multi-use, but primarily bridle trail 4.5 miles on horse camp side of Sprucevale Road Scenic with hemlocks and hardwood trees, spring flowers, at times follows Little Beaver Creek and utilizes open field gas pipe line. Clay soil with rocky hills Tends to stay wet except in dry in conditions. Some poison ivy Wet with ankle deep mud in poorly drained areas in wet weather. Frozen during sub-freezing temperatures Crosses Rough Run (usually ankle deep) stream as trail winds through hollow to the mouth at Little Beaver Creek. "Devil's Bench" aka "Little Colorado" cliffs with hemlock across creek. Shared with hikers and fishermen in a 1/4 mile stretch. Narrow (1 horse wide) section about 75 yards long which hugs steep hillside which is prone to occasional slides and falling trees on 1 side. Little Beaver Creek on other side.

4 TRAIL 3 Hoofbeat Loop - ORANGE TRAIL Multi-use about 12 miles Scenic with hemlocks and hardwood trees, at times follows Little Beaver Creek which crosses the creek 3 times. Goes to horsemen's picnic area of the Main Park with park office and restored and resconstructed Pioneer Village on Echo Dell Road Clay with very rocky hills Tends to stay wet except in dry in conditions. Some poison ivy Wet with ankle deep mud in poorly drained areas. Several boggy areas & high swift crossings after rains. Frozen in sub-freezing termperatures Follows along Little Beaver Creek, includes tow paths of Sandy/ Beaver Canal. Views of carved stone canal locks and building foundations. Scenic overlook of Main park on Echo Dell Road. Side trail to Wildlife Education Center tie lines & picnic table Very boggy areas. Deep crossings when stream is high. Narrow (1 horse wide) sections. Crosses paved Sprucevale Road 2 x

5 TRAIL 4 Whispering Pine - YELLOW TRAIL Multi-use about 10 miles Scenic with hemlocks, pines and hardwood trees, spring wildflowers. At times follows Little Beaver Creek. Crosses creek 2 times Clay soil with rocky hills Tends to stay wet except in very dry in conditions. Some poison ivy Wet with ankle deep mud in some poorly drained areas, several boggy areas and high swift crossings after rain. Frozen in subfreezing termperatures Follows along Little Beaver Creek, includes tow paths of Sandy/ Beaver Canal, views of carved stone canal locks and building foundations. Scenic overlook on Sprucevale Road of Sprucevale area of State Park. Tie line at creek crossing nearest Sprucevale area Very boggy areas. Deep crossings when stream is high. Stays along side steep curve of Sprucevale Road for 75 yards near overlook. Narrow (1 horse wide) sections, crosses paved Sprucevale Rd two times.

6 TRAIL 5 Highwater Trail - RED TRAIL Multi-use mostly bridle trail about 1 to 1.5 miles Alternate trail which avoids creek crossings during high waters Access off yellow trail behind Sprucevale rest area, pass old and/ or new model airplane fileds to rejoin yellow and/or orange trails Forest Floor Mostly dry. Some wet areas in low lying areas Dogwood trees and large ant hills Crosses Sprucevale at gravel pile near Horsemans camp. Near model airplane fields. Sounds of flying model airplanes, steep hill

7 TRAIL 6 Wildlife Education Center Horse Access Trail Bridle trail to picnic table/tie line at Education Center open May-October Saturday & Sunday afternoons 1/4 mile Off or orange bridle trail/oak Hill hiking trail Sloping hill Forest floor dirt Dry wet areas, frozen during sub-freezing temperatures Leads to Nature Education Center. Important to stay off of Logan's Loop Hiking Trail
