The size guide and it s measurements and recommendations is simply a support to make the prescriber s choice easier. The seat measurement of a lifting sling provides an indication on how wide the user can be from hip to hip (trochanter measurement). The user s trochanter measurement should be within +/- 10 cm (3.9 ) of the seat measurement. The lift vest width provides an indication on the circumference of the user s trunk. The circumference of the user s trunk should be within +/- 10 cm (3.9 ) of the lift vest width. The lifting sling is too large if the user s buttocks slide out too much through the lower opening or if the leg supports slide forwards towards the back of the knees. The lifting sling is too small if the user s face is too close to the sling bar, if the leg supports cut into the crotch or if the lifting slings looks and/or feels too tight.
