This sevice would povide a connection to the A-tain and Connect fixed-oute bus sevice in Lewisville. This sevice would be ideal fo communities that ae difficult to seve with fixed-oute bus sevice and also fo high density aeas. Comfotable, moden vehicles would be wheelchai accessible and featue a low floo design fo easy boading. Vehicles would also be smalle and moe neighbohood-fiendly than taditional tansit buses. Dynamic Demand-Response Sevice would utilize innovative technology including GPS-equipped vehicles, mobile-eady ide equest app, dynamic scheduling softwae, and e-payment capability. You could equest a tip fom anywhee: submit a equest fom you mobile device, o use an inteactive equest kiosk at majo tansit stops and activity centes. A vehicle would pick you up within 15 minutes of you equest. A successful demonstation of Dynamic Demand-Response Sevice in ighland Village / Noth Lewisville may lead to additional applications in Denton County and thoughout the egion.

10 NCTC Denton County Tanspotation Authoity Denton County Tanspotation Authoity Aipot Exp Pogam of Pojects EX Rail OPEN OUSE DA Tinity Railway Expess The Pogam of Pojects identifies how DCTA will use fedeal funds which have been appopiated to DCTA as the designated ecipient of Fedeal Tansit Administation (FTA) Section 5307-Ubanized Aea Fomula Pogam (UZA) and Section 5339 Bus and Bus Facilities funds. The poposed pojects listed below fo Fiscal Yea 2015 Pogam of Pojects (POP) is based on a funding estimate povided by Noth Cental Texas Council of Govenment. Ubanized Aea Fomula Pogam (49 USC 5307) Ubanized aea fomula gants emain the lagest souce of fedeal tansit funding unde MAP-21, with $4.455 and $5.599 million authoized to fo the Denton-Lewisville Ubanized aea in FY 2013 and FY MAP-21 peseves the existing fomula pogam and its distibution factos, including sepaate factos based on population gowth and density, but it does include additions to the fomulas and pemits the use of ubanized aea fomula funds fo opeating expenses unde cetain cicumstances. Unde MAP-21, the basic stuctue of the ubanized aea fomula is maintained with funding appotioned based on bus vehicle evenue miles, bus passenge miles, fixed guideway vehicle evenue miles, and fixed guideway diectional oute miles, as well as population and population density. oweve, a new facto eflecting the numbe of low-income individuals is also included, in ode to eflect the consolidation of the Job Access and Revese Commute (JARC) pogam into the coe pogam, with JARC activities being included in the list of eligible activities unde Section Bus & Bus Facilities Fomula Gants (49 USC 5339) Unde MAP-21, the fomely discetionay bus and bus facilities pogam is now a smalle fomula gant pogam, pecluding both congessional eamaks and discetionay gant-making. These fomulay funds may be used to finance capital pojects to eplace, ehabilitate, and puchase buses and elated equipment and to constuct bus-elated facilities, in accodance with the gant equiements in section Desciption of Pojects: The total amount of these capital pojects is $7,009,000 of which $5,330,000 is fedeal assistance and $1,679,000 is local match funds povided fom available cash afte eseves, local sales tax, and othe opeating evenue. These pojects will povide funding fo peventive maintenance, opeating assistance, fleet eplacement, and tansit enhancements. The tansit enhancement allocation is based upon the calculation of a minimum of 1% of the total estimated fedeal appotionment ($4,900,000), as mandated by fedeal egulation. The tem peventive maintenance is defined as all the activities, supplies, mateials, labo, sevices, and associated costs equied to peseve o extend the functionality and seviceability of the asset in a cost effective manne, up to and including the cuent state of the at of maintaining such asset. The tem tansit enhancement means pojects that ae designed to enhance public tanspotation sevice o use, and that ae physically o functionally elated to tansit facilities. FTA equies that 1% of the annual appotionment be spent on tansit enhancements. Examples of eligible pojects include bus sheltes, signage, and ADA enhancements. The pimay impact of these pojects will be within the Denton-Lewisville ubanized Aea.
