Tactical Traffic Image on the inland ECDIS chart on board and in control centres. Strategic Traffic Image for an improved traffic management (e.g. ports, locks, customs) Waterway information and notices to skippers. Electronic Ship Reporting for the advanced communication of dangerous goods transportation to the national control centre. Lock management for request and acknowledgement of lock passage using an automatic data protocol. Distribution and receipt of safety relevant information between vessels and control centres. Free usage of safety related radio channels for AIS data transmission via donau 12

16 Objectives COMPRIS Consortium Operational Management Platform Development of the technical, organisational and functional architecture for RIS on a pan-european level.
