Club rentals are $85 per set; please call Behind the Scenes San Diego Zoo Tour: $150/person Tuesday, September 17: 10:30 am 4:30 pm, meet the bus at 10:15 at the Spa Curb, private tour at 1:30 pm, catch the return bus at 4:00 pm at zoo main entrance Join us for an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the San Diego Zoo, only available for groups. The San Diego Zoo is notable for pioneering the design of naturalistic habitats for zoo animals. After enjoying lunch with a pre paid voucher at one of the park s restaurants, you ll have some time to walk around before you get a private two hour tour from 1:30 3:30 pm where you ll see animals up close and talk to animal handlers. We hope you take advantage of this special event at one of the top zoos in the world. The $150 cost includes transportation, zoo admission, a special private tour at 1:30 pm, and a $12 lunch voucher. The return bus departs at 4:00 pm from the main zoo entrance and returns to the resort around 4:30 pm. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation Policy: Cancellations postmarked or faxed by Friday, August 30, 2013 are entitled to a full refund. Cancellations received after this date will be subject to a 25% penalty fee off the Convention registration. Activity fees are not refundable after August 30, Members sharing a single registration is prohibited but complete substitutions may be made without penalty. Individuals who do not attend and fail to cancel are not eligible for a refund. 4 TRAVEL INFORMATION Airport: La Costa Resort & Spa is located approximately 30 minutes from San Diego International Airport (SAN) in San Diego, California. Car Rental: Discounts can be received at Avis by calling and referencing the AWD number J Avis is onsite at San Diego International Airport (SAN). The local number for Avis is Parking: Private Car: Taxi Service: La Costa Resort & Spa is offering B&CMA guests complimentary valet and self parking. La Costa Resort recommends La Jolla Elite for private car service for $135 each way; please call La Costa recommends Cloud 9 Super Shuttle for shared shuttle service for $33 per person; please call Advanced reservations are required. Taxi services costs about $95 each way from San Diego International Airport (SAN). GENERAL INFORMATION LA COSTA GOLF Southern California's only Gold Medal Golf Resort, the course was designed by Dick Wilson and is home to tournaments like the 2012 LPGA Kia Classic. La Costa has hosted professional golfers, Hollywood celebrities, politicians and sports heros whose tee sheets have included names like Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and more. The Champions Course has been completely restored and dressed with all new bent grass greens, Bermuda fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Fairway contours have been altered; a modernized drainage system has been added for sustainability, improved water flow and irrigation; 30 acres of maintained turf have been reduced for water conservation; native grasses and lakes have been added to challenge all levels. RESTAURANTS The resort prides itself on outstanding dining with sustainable farm to table ingredients at Bluefire Grill and Bistro 65, but there plenty of choices in the surrounding area. Just a short drive away is the Gaslamp Quarter offering more than 70 restaurants and don t forget the region is known for its authentic Mexican food. THE SPA AT LA COSTA The Spa at La Costa has been rated the #1 Wellness Spa in the nation by Spa Magazine and the #4 Spa in North America by Travel + Leisure. Nature inspires everything at the Spa fresh citrus and herbs that infuse Spa elixirs and the local ingredients used in the treatments. B&CMA members can take advantage of a top notch spa menu, enjoy the completely redesigned facilities and spend some time relaxing in a premiere spa destination. Spa hours are from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Wednesday and 8:30 am to 8:30 pm Thursday through Sunday. Please schedule your appointment on line at an appointment or call KIDS Kids are welcome at La Costa! Enroll them in Kidtopia kids club which offers plenty of activities for ages 6 months to 12 years, and even night activities for parents who want to explore the resort for a few hours. Please call for rates and reservations. The resort also has great water activities including the Sandy Beach Family Pool and Splash Landing Pool with wicked awesome waterslides, snack bar, pool toys and private cabana rental. Nursery and babysitting services are also available. WEATHER September temperatures are usually in the mid 70s (Fahrenheit), and cool off in the evening to the low 60s. Please bring your sunglasses, sunblock and have a light jacket or sweater available for evenings.

5 WHAT TO PACK All sessions and social events are business casual: slacks and golf shirts for men, slacks or skirts and blouses for women. In the evening, temperatures can cool to the mid 60s, so please pack a jacket or sweater. For the Monday Dine Around, resort casual attire is fine; but you may dress up if you choose.
