4 Letter to the editor Dear Editor, My husband and I were ready to embark on a three-day weekend (courtesy of the Queen s Birthday holiday weekend) and were looking forward to our stay at the Whale Cove Resort, Hervey Bay. It was to be our first stay at the resort and, for me at least, a first visit to Hervey Bay. The resort is colourful and attractive and in an excellent location. Just a short walk through the back of the resort takes you to the marina and esplanade. We had a two-bedroom unit: one bedroom with a queen sized bed, the other with two single beds. Both the courtyard area, with its calming, tropical landscaping, and the patio overlooking the pool, were great areas to relax in and soak up some of that holiday ambience. Because of the newness of the resort, the furnishings and fittings were in excellent condition. Management has equipped the unit with a very large stainless steel fridge freezer and new stainless steel appliances. Kitchen storage is good, especially with the rows of shelving provided in a wall pantry. Staying at the Whale Cove Resort Hervey Bay affords you a very comfortable, aesthetically pleasing base. The grounds are very well maintained and the tasteful tropical landscaping will continue to inspire with further growth. The resort exudes cleanliness and neatness, with vigilant, conscientious managers on hand to maintain a high standard. 8 Back to Nature Exploring WorldMark South Pacific Club s Best Eco-breaks Could it be that trading in your suit and tie for overalls and gumboots is suddenly hip?
