NATURE: THE BOTANICAL GARDEN OF PAMPLEMOUSSE Contrary to what its name indicates, it is not only grapefruits you will discover in this garden but hundreds of different plant species from the four corners of the globe. This botanical garden has become an inevitable step of a stay in Mauritius. CULTURE: THE SUGAR FACTORY Rising above the green sugar cane fields, the old sugar mill of Beau Plan with its long history is a true maker of history and tales. By following the trail of the adventure of sugar with a history of over 250 years, you can retrace the past of the country. They converted old factory into a modern museum visit lasts approximately 1 h 30 at the end of which, a tasting of the delicious sugar and especially local rum awaits visitors.
