3 Glodeni District, Moldova Glodeni District is located in the north-west of Moldova, at a distance of 168 km from the capital of Republic, Chisinau city. It domestic borders with districts Falesti, Riscani,Balti and international border with Romania on the Prut river. District is comprised of 75,417 km2. Population of the district - 56,3 thousand. 8 Industry The industrial sector of the district consist of 5 industrial entreprises, under which is the agricultural product processing industry : Sugar Factory with a capacity of processing 3000 tons of sugar beet a day, cannery with a processing capacity of 56 thousand units of conventional canning, which is currently preserved, bread with a production capacity of 5 tons of bread per day, quarry extraction and processing of non-ferrous materials.
