2 Before You Start Read the Instruction Manual and Warnings in full Please make sure you read the instruction manual and all warnings in full before you begin installing your trampoline. Keep these instructions for future reference as they contain very important inspection and maintenance advice which will help you keep your trampoline in a good and safe condition. Advice for Assembly The trampoline must be carefully assembled by an adult but it will definitely be easier with two or more to help.. Remove all the packaging materials and lay down the s in a free space to the side. This gives you an overview and simplifies the assembly procedure. Check with the s list that no s are missing before you put the trampoline together. It is a good idea to wear gloves during the assembly of the trampoline to protect your hands from pinching. Beware that when using tools or doing technical work, there is always a risk of injury so take care when assembling and don t leave tools lying around. After installing the product following these instructions please make sure that all bolts and nuts are correctly installed and tightened and that all joints are tightly fixed. The Trampoline Tools Required Benötigtes Material / Accessoires / Herramientas Strumenti da lavoro / Benodigdheden Two pairs of hands Spring Tool ( G: included) Parts Included Gloves (optional) Unterteile / Liste des pièces / Lista de es Elenco degli elementi / Onderdelen Padding/Spring Cover It is important for the safe use of the trampoline that the padding is in the correct position lined up with the frame. The attachment straps all need to be tied to secure the pads to the trampoline. If there are any tears in the fabric the pads will need to be replaced. Trampoline Frame Check the structural integrity of the frame. Ensure all of the round s of the frame are inserted into the frame clamps and everything is tight and secure. Trampoline Legs All the vertical leg extensions and leg bases need to be in the correct position integrated into the structure and not moving. If there are any jagged edges stop using the trampoline immediately and get into contact with your retailer. Trampoline Jumping Mat and Springs With your frame in strong working order now turn your attention to the mat and springs. The springs need to be intact and if any are broken check their specification with the retailer and replace them. Do not use the trampoline during this time as further use could cause damage to the frame. Check the mat for any rips and that the surface is smooth with the tension from the springs distributed evenly. If there are any breaks in the mat you must replace it immediately. Warnings Please read and understand the following warnings before installing and using your trampoline Warning! Maximum user weight is 100kg for 8ft & 10ft models, and 120kg for 12 and 14ft models. 3 Bouncing and Basic Trampolining Techniques We recommend trampoline users try to understand and perfect these fundamental bounce techniques. This is for enjoyment but also to help people bounce safely on the trampoline. THE BASIC BOUNCE Start from a standing position with your feet shoulder width a and eyes facing forward on the mat Swing your arms forward, up then down to the sides in an L-shape circular motion Bring your feet together while in mid-air and point your toes downward Focus on staying in the centre of the mat. THE BRAKING MANOUEVRE Occasionally the user may lose control of their jump. Performing the braking manouvre will allow them to regain control of the jump and their balance. Start with a basic bounce As you land, bend your knees and squat down - this will allow you to stop. 1 Assembling the Legs Leg Extension Poles ( E) U-Shape Leg Base ( F) Lay all s out in groups - as demonstrated in diagram 1. Attach two Leg Extension Poles ( E) to each U-Shape Leg Base ( F) and secure together with the pinball (push in, slide poles together then it should pop out into appropriate hole). Repeat for all U-Shape Leg Bases. You will need to suppress the pinball on the U-Shape Leg Bases and then release into the vertical Leg Extension Poles. THE HANDS AND KNEES BOUNCE Start with a low controlled basic bounce Land on your hands and knees keeping your back straight Emphasis should be directed at a good four-point landing and not on jumping height. Do not perform advanced moves such as somorsaults as this could result in injury. Positioning your trampoline It is very important to give adequate clearance around and above the trampoline in order to be able to use it safely. Find a soft surface such as a nice level lawn or play bark to position the trampoline on. The trampoline shouldn t be positioned on concrete, asphalt or any other hard surface such as decking. It should also not be too close to any other items in the garden which could cause obstruction such as paddling pools, swings, slide and climbing frames. You will need at least 39 inches/1m clearance around the diameter of the trampoline. This is because the net is designed to support the weight of the user if they stumble and therefore will bulge out slightly. You also need ample room to mount and dismount safely. diagram 1 2 Assembling the Outer Ring Top Rails ( A) Frame Clamps ( H) Attach all the top rails to form a large circle. You do this by inserting them into the frame clamps. You may have to re-insert sections of the frame into the clamps as you go along. Above the trampoline you will need overheard clearance of about 9ft/2.75m. Hanging tree branches and other obstructions could potentially cause damage to the trampoline or injury to the user. Better safe than sorry! The size listed on the box refers the diameter of the metal frame from end to end. Inspection & Maintenance It is important you make regular safety checks on your trampoline, ideally before each use. Enclosure Mechanism Make sure the fibre glass poles round the top of the trampoline are intact and in place. Check it is inserted into the caps on top of all the enclosure poles and the poles and caps are all in good working order. Enclosure Netting Check the net is held up by the top ring and the hooks under the pads are all in place. Make sure the straps which attach the net to the hooks are evenly spaced out and intact. If there are any breakages in the net it will need to be replaced immediately. You should replace your net every three years. 9 2

4 3 Assembling the Frame Trampoline Legs (as assembled in Step 1) Trampoline Outer Ring (as assembled in Step 2) Using the Trampoline Now that your trampoline is up and running and looking fantastic you need to learn how to bounce! Attach the legs from Step 1 to the trampoline clamps (these should be pointing down from the outer ring/frame itself ). This will allow the trampoline to stand upright on its legs - see image 3a. It should now look like the frame image 3b (remember: 12ft and 14ft version have four sets of legs and not three as shown). Get into some comfortable loose fitting clothing you might use for exercise and socks. Make sure your outfit doesn t feature anything that could catch on the trampoline such as necklaces, watches and other accessories. Ensure there is a supervisor on hand regardless of the age or ability of the bouncer! Trampolines can be dangerous if used improperly. Only allowing one person on the mat at any given time will drastically reduce the chance of accidents, as will bouncing in a safe as disciplined way. The Trampoline in Different Weather Conditions Rain We would all love it to be sunny every day but the reality is that you will need to learn how to use your trampoline in a variety of different weather conditions. Don t use the trampoline during rain as there is a risk of slipping. The mat is designed for water to pass through so the frame doesn t become weighed down. It is still a good idea once the downpour has stopped to use a towel to make sure the mat is dry before bouncing. image 3a image 3b 4 Attaching the Jumping Mat Snow In snowy conditions you will have to make sure you don t let it build up on top of the trampoline. Shovel excess snow off the top of the trampoline to avoid the frame becoming overloaded. You may want to go as far as disassembling the enclosure and mat and storing them in the garage. Trampoline Frame (as assembled in Step 1-3) Jumping Mat ( B) Springs ( D) Covering the trampoline Put the jumping Mat ( B) inside the frame and attach a spring into one of the triangular rings on the mat. Then attach the other end of the spring into the hole in the frame. Use the spring tool as shown in image 4b. The long hook on the springs attach to the frame and the short to the mat. 6. Repeat this directly across from where you attached the first spring. Add every fourth spring, then every second to distribute the tension from the springs evenly. During extended periods of not using the trampoline such as the winter some people decide to simply remove the enclosure poles from the trampoline and cover it with a weather cover to protect the mat and pads, giving the trampoline a longer life span. You can also cover the trampoline by unhooking your net from the bottom and feeding the cover through the gaps in between the enclosure poles. This means you avoid having to remove the enclosure poles. In either circumstance you shouldn t bounce on the trampoline when it is covered. Anchoring your trampoline to the ground. The 8ft Skyhigh Orbisphere comes with an anchor kit included. For the 10ft, 12ft and 14ft models it is available as an optional extra. With the 12ft and 14ft trampolines being larger is recommended you purchase a double strength anchor kit which includes eight stakes instead of four in the standard kit. Anchor kits are very important if the trampoline will be exposed to windy conditions. They are a series of canvas strap which attach to each of the legs of the trampoline and then a steel stake. Once you have the canvas straps in place on the trampoline you need to attach them to the stakes which are then corkscrewed into the ground. image 4a 3 image 4b 8

5 5 Adding Top Caps & Completing the Enclosure Fibreglass Rods ( F) Plastic Top Caps ( G) Safety Netting ( D) The caps are divided in two s: a smaller plug and a larger piece which sits over the top. Please put the smaller of the cap inside the top enclosure pole. Make sure the indent where the fibreglass pole will sit is facing from left to right and not towards you. Take the larger top section of the cap and rest it on top of the button on the pole but don t insert the button into the hole yet. Bring the fibreglass top rod up to the cap. Insert it into the gap in the top of the cap. Suppress the button on the pole and insert it into the hole in the top section of the cap. This will hold the top rail in place (see image 5a). Repeat this process for all poles until the net is held in place. 5 Attaching the Pads Trampoline Frame with Bed (as assembled in Steps 1-4) Trampoline Pads/Spring Cover ( C) Lay the Pads (Spring Cover ( C) on the outer edge of the trampoline so the springs are covered. Fix them to the trampoline by feeding the strap with the hook on the end over the edge of the frame, under the springs and through the sleeve on the other side of the pad. Please hold it in place by attaching the hook the the V ring of the mat. (see image 5b). image 5a image 5b The Enclosure Tools Required Benötigtes Material / Accessoires / Herramientas Strumenti da lavoro / Benodigdheden image 5a Parts Included Spanner (included) Two pairs of hands Attach the bottom of the enclosure netting to the trampoline by putting the straps through the nearest metal triangle on the mat. Then clip onto the next triangle along (see image 5b). You may need to move around some of these straps to evenly distribute the net after they are all attached - don t worry, this is quite normal. A B Quick Clamp Lower Pole & Foam Tube 8ft, 10ft = 12 12ft, 14ft = 16 Unterteile / Liste des pièces / Lista de es Elenco degli elementi / Onderdelen C Upper Pole & Foam Tube 7 Safety Netting G Plastic Top Cap image 5b Your trampoline is now complete! Please make sure all the nuts and bolts are suitably tight. Please refer to our Using the Trampoline and Inspection and Maintenance guides before bouncing. D E F Fibreglass Rod Green Sleeves 4

6 1 3 Attaching the Lower Enclosure Poles Assembling Fibreglass Poles Quick Clamp ( A) Lower Poles & Foam Tube ( B) Fibreglass Rods ( F) Safety Netting ( D) Insert the Quck Clamp ( A) into the outside of the lower enclosure pole with the plastic spacer lined up as pictured. Push the bolt through the hole in the leg of the trampoline and secure the bolt with nut and washer on the other side. Complete twice for each of the lower poles. Connect the Fibreglass Rod sections together so you end up with two long fibreglass poles. Insert the two fibreglass rods into the top sleeve of the Safety Netting ( D) - see image 3a Make sure you have a male end of the fibreglass rod facing a female one so you can connect them together in the next stage. image 1a image 1b image 3a 2 Upper Poles & Foam Tube ( C) Green Sleeves ( E) Attaching the Upper Enclosure Poles 4 Suppress the pinball on the lower enclosure pole and slide the Upper Pole ( C) over it. Slide the pole around until the pinball clicks through the hole and it secures both poles together. Repeat this for each pole. With the poles assembled and in place, slide the Green Sleeves over the poles, and pull down all the way to the bottom. image 2a Attaching the Top Ring image 3b Safety Netting with Fibreglass Rods inserted Bend the Fibreglass Rod (as assembled inside safety netting in Step 3) into a circle and connect them in two places to complete the circle. The step is completed most easily with two people forming the circular shape together at opposite ends of the net (see image 4a). image 2b image 4a image 4b image 2c 5 6
