Since then, we have moved to the Guard Electric Building on Mullis St, became an exclusive Verizon Wireless dealer plus retained DirecTV and changed our name to San Juan Wireless. Our move to Friday Harbor was a result of wan ng to be closer to our Waldron Island
2 Chamber of Commerce Executive Director homestead property plus to really live the San Juan Island life. It seems an impossibility that this business is 18 years old! Dennis and Joy arrived in 1998 with 20 years of combined telecommunica ons background so that equals 38 years today! We are very grateful to each of our loyal customers for allowing us to reach this milestone. Today, San Juan Wireless offers all of Verizon Wireless's services including cell phones, tablets, homeconnect, aircards, etc. We are proud to con nue to provide DirecTV service to the San Juan Islands as they remain the premier satellite provider. If you 'mistakenly' call DirecTV directly and are told your loca on can't get the satellite signal, just call San Juan Wireless for a free survey. Also, come to the store for the latest iphone 7's and iphone 7 accessories plus Samsung Galaxy 7's and more. We at San Juan Wireless are proud to be an 18 year member of San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce and encourage all local businesses to join. Pictured - Joy and Denny Sevier San Juan Wireless, Inc ` E x e c u t i v e D i r e c President Lauren, our Chamber Staff and myself all took turns taking a li le vaca on in September so our October Newsle er is a combina on of all our latest news. We had a very busy July, August and September in our Visitor Informa on Center, seeing 2,000 more visitors than last year in that me frame. We are looking to expand our hours and staff for next summer so we may best serve our members, community and visitors. Our app, The San Juan Islands Insider, is con nuing to grow and you are s ll able to be a par cipant. It is available for download so check it out at the Apple App Store or the Android App on Google Play! This is a great way
3 to promote shopping locally to our local community. Chamber of Commerce members are the par cipants in this app so if you want to know more you just send me an or give me a call! becki@sanjuanisland.org We are feverishly finishing the final details of our Friday Harbor Winter Fes val which celebrates our Town's magic month. December 2nd is the kick off with an open house at the Whale Museum, followed by the tree ligh ng and Santa's arrival at Memorial Park, then up to Brickworks for more fun with photos with Santa, food by Ag Guild and cra s with Island Rec. We will be sending out the flyer in the member messages tomorrow! November 4, 5 & 6, This coming weekend is the 4th Annual Friday Harbor Film Fes val. We thank the dedica on and hard work of Lynn Danaher, Karen Palmer, their Board of Directors and many volunteers. "Each year the Friday Harbor Film Fes val, located on beau ful San Juan Island, Washington, invites dedicated and talented Filmmakers from all over the world to showcase their Documentary films' unique ability to; Entertain audiences through the art of compelling storytelling; Inspire audience members, as well as filmmakers to be a force for positive change; Enlighten all par cipants by conveying relevant informa on, crea ng awareness and expanding apprecia on of our fragile planet, diverse cultures and those daring to explore new frontiers. Encourage students to learn the art of storytelling thru film, by participating in the Young Filmmakers Project. This year's film selec on promises to be a rare opportunity to see some of the most thought-provoking and enlightening films available."
