5 VISITING TEAM INFORMATION GUIDE General Information BENCH ASSIGNMENTS Visitor bench: Facing the scorer s table located to the left north end of tunnel. The UTEP Sports Medicine staff will provide your bench with a water cooler, cups, towels, ice bags, blood spill kit, and biohazard containers. CHEERLEADERS/MASCOTS Visiting team cheerleaders and mascots are allowed to attend games at the tunnel. Groups that are planning to attend a game must contact Associate Media Relations Jeff Darby. ENTRANCE TO DON HASKINS TUNNEL Visiting teams and staff should enter at the tunnel entrance on 151Glory Road South side of the building. This entrance should be used for access to the facility for the game, as well as all practices and shootarounds. Public entrances typically one hour (60 minutes) prior to tip-off. HALFTIME There will be a 15-minute intermission between the first and second halves. Entertainment during the intermission will be coordinated through the UTEP Sports Marketing & Promotions Department. INTRODUCTIONS National Anthem followed by visitor starters to foul line followed by UTEP starters. LOCKER ROOMS Locker rooms will be assigned for each game. Please contact Mike Babul at (915) for pertinent game information. The locker rooms will be supplied with 7 Gal. water, 3 Gal. Gatorade, cups, towels, hydro collator with pads, ice chest, and injury ice. 5

6 MEDIA CREDENTIALS All media credentials requests should be directed to Associate Media Relations Director Jeff Darby. PARKING PASSES Requests for parking passes should be directed to Associate Media Relations Director Jeff Darby. PLAYERS GUEST TICKETS Unless specified in the match agreement, complimentary tickets are not provided for non-conference visiting teams. Per C-USA policy, a total of 50 complimentary tickets will be provided for C-USA visiting teams. A minimum of 35 of these seats will be located in the lower level. Please provide a player pass list form to the UTEP Ticket Operations staff upon arrival to the Don Haskins Center. POSTGAME INTERVIEW POLICY The UTEP Athletics Communications staff will work with visiting team personnel regarding requests for pre/port-match interviews. PRACTICE Practice requests can be sent to Mike Babul at mgbabul@utep.edu UTEP Basketball practices will have priority followed by visiting team requests. UTEP Sports Medicine will provide water/cups and injury ice at the practice site. PRE-GAME AGENDA The pre-game agenda will be provided to the participating teams in the locker rooms and on the court. STATISTICS UTEP Athletics Communications will provide a trained and qualified staff member to record statistics for all games. Complete game booklets will be provided to both teams at the end of the game. TRAINING ROOM When you arrive at the Arena you will be assigned a student athletic trainer, and will be available to you at all practices, shoot-around and behind your bench during games. An Orthopedic team physician as well as x-ray, and EMS will be available at all Men s Basketball games. On game day the Don Haskins Center training room will be open and available to you 2 hours before the game. If you require any of these services during your stay please let us know.
