It has excellent transport links and is within easy reach of the motorway. 4 Travelling by car Campus satnav postcode: NG25 0QF Parking is available for visitors. Brackenhurst is approximately 14 miles north-east of Nottingham s city centre. From the north Exit the M1 at Junction 28 and head towards Mansfield along the A38. Turn right to follow the A617 towards Newark, and then turn right onto the A612 towards Southwell and Brackenhurst. From the south The M1, A1, A52, A46 and A612 all offer options. From the west Follow the A52 Nottingham ring road on to the A6011 then turn right onto the A612. The campus is about 10 miles ahead on your right. From the east Head along the A1, A46 or A17 to Newark, then the A617 to Mansfield, before picking up the A612 to Southwell and Brackenhurst. Travelling by bus The Pathfinder 100 bus service to Brackenhurst leaves from King Street, just off Old Market Square. Price: 6 return per person Frequency: Every 30 minutes Journey time: 45 minutes Ask the bus driver to let you know where to get off. As with all Nottingham City Transport (NCT) buses, the exact fare is needed. If you re paying with cash, make sure you bring the right change. Travelling by rail Nottingham train station is near the city centre. Visit for timetables and information. Once you ve arrived in Nottingham, make your way to Old Market Square from there you can catch the Pathfinder 100 bus from King Street to Brackenhurst. Walking to Old Market Square takes about ten minutes. You can also take the tram there s an NET tram stop on the bridge above the station. Catch one heading for Phoenix Park or Hucknall. Price: 3.50 return per adult via ticket machine. Change is given. You must buy a ticket before you board the tram. Frequency: Every 7 minutes Journey time from station to Old Market Square: 5 minutes on the tram, 10 minutes on foot

Look at the timetable over the page to find out when your subject talk is, and plan your day around that. Think about which talks and tours you want to go to, and mark them on the planner page. Your subject talks These are presented by the same staff who ll teach the subjects. We recommend you attend! Agriculture, Land and Wildlife Management Facility Tour Need to book? No Tour time: About 30 minutes Tour type: Guided Meeting point: Outside entrance (map ref. R ) Time: Leaving at am and 2.30 pm Animal and Equine facility minibus tours Need to book? No Tour time: About 30 minutes per area Tour type: Guided Meeting point: Main Hall, marked M on your map Time: Throughout the day from am. Last tour leaves at 2 pm Take a ride to our Animal Unit, Veterinary Nursing Centre, and Equestrian Centre. Student Ambassadors will meet you off the bus and give you a detailed tour. For health and safety reasons, no more than 25 people are allowed in the animal units at once. Visit the library We have a fantastic modern library at the heart of our campus. Visit our range of study spaces and facilities, and discover how we can support your learning (map ref. L ) 10

You ll have been asked to tell us how many visitors you are bringing along when you booked online. Where can I get food and drink? Dining room Grab a free drink or fuel up on breakfast. Hot and cold lunch options are also available. Costa Coffee For when you need a break and a sit down, visit our coffee shop in The Orangery. The Orangery Get a taste of student life with a range of hot and cold food from our on-campus Students Union. Health and Safety Road safety Be extremely careful when crossing the roads on and around our campus. First aid If you require first aid, please contact the main reception, security, or a member of staff. Fire safety If you hear the fire alarm, leave the by the nearest safe exit. Staff will show you the way. Do not use the lifts. If you feel you d be unable to evacuate a via the stairs, please ask a member of staff to help.
