Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio (740) APRIL NEWS Last updated 05/11/ TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian Hill of Sabina, Oh was traveling west on Greenfield-Sabina Rd approaching the stop sign at US 62. Hill continued to cross US 62 failing to yield for a vehicle operated by Robin Smith of Leesburg, OH traveling south causing a collision. Minor injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Hill was cited for Failure to Yield. TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles Somers, age 72 of Washington CH, was attempting to enter US 35 West from State Route 753 when he failed to properly negotiate a curve an struck the ditch. Somers was issued a citation for failure to control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian A. Hill of Sabina, Ohio was traveling west on Greenfield-Sabina Road approaching U.S. #62SW and reportedly slid through the stop sign and into the path of a vehicle traveling south on U.S. #62SW operated by Robin Smith of Leesburg, Ohio. The vehicles collided in the intersection with the Smith vehicle subsequently traveling off the west side of the roadway before coming to rest. Smith reported minor injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Hill was cited for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device. WELFARE CHECK: A welfare check was requested of three children in the Village of Jeffersonville. The juveniles were checked and it was discovered that during an argument between the father and the oldest juvenile, the juvenile was reportedly struck with the cord of a video game which left a red mark. The juveniles departed the residence for the evening with a grandparent and Fayette County Children s Services were notified to follow-up on the incident MENACING: Joshua McQuiller of Washington CH reported receiving a threatening message thru Facebook. CIVIL: Rhonda Bailey of Washington CH reported while in a verbal argument with a known person, she was advised she would be given an eviction notice. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Tammy Van Dyke, Greenfield reported she was confronted by a known person while at the Jeffersonville Ball Diamonds.

2 TRAFFIC CRASH: Lamont Rickman of Greenfield, Ohio was traveling south on State Route #41 near Ghormley Road and initiated a passing maneuver of another southbound vehicle operated by Dakota T. Wise of Frankfort, Ohio when Wise reportedly drifted left of center and collided with the Rickman vehicle. No injuries were reported in the crash. Wise was cited for Failure to Control. BURLARY/THEFT: Lowise of Landrum of New Holland reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed items from inside THEFT / BURGLARY: Aaron Depugh, Jeffersonville reported numerous items had been removed from his residence without permission. BURGLARY/THEFT: Ronald Kvarness of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered his residence and removed items from inside. UNRULY: Sheriff s deputies responded to Biddle Blvd in the Village of Bloomingburg on reports of an unruly juvenile not wanting to attend school. Sheriff s deputies spoke with the juvenile and the juvenile went to school. STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED: A Fayette County man has been arrested and charged in connection with several recent theft offenses that occurred within the Village of Bloomingburg. Caleb A. Workman, Age 29 of 46 Lincoln Street in Bloomingburg was charged following the execution of a search warrant at his residence on Tuesday afternoon stemming from the investigation. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, residents of the Village of Bloomingburg had reported the theft of mowers and other property from outside their homes and garages in recent days. A break in the case came on Tuesday when one of the victims reported utilizing social media to inquire about the purchase of a lawn mower to replace one stolen from their home. After receiving a response to the inquiry, the victim reportedly went to the Workman residence to view a mower for sale and identified the mower stolen from their home sitting outside the Workman residence. The victim alerted the Sheriff s Office and after further investigation, deputies executed a search warrant at the Workman home which led to the recovery of the reported stolen mower and several other stolen items. Detectives working the case also learned that some stolen items had already been sold via social media and are continuing to work toward the recovery of those stolen items. Most of the reported stolen items recovered from the Workman home have been returned to the rightful owners. Workman is currently incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of bond, charged with (3) three counts of theft. As the investigation continues, additional charges are likely TRAFFIC CRASH: Tori Braughton of Galloway, OH was traveling south on SR 207 and lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a left curve. Braughton traveled of the right side of the roadway into the ditch striking a fence and utility pole before coming to rest. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to a medical facility for treatment. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Braughton was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Dana Feazell of Washington CH was south on Washington New Martinsburg Rd and lost control of her vehicle. Feazell traveled left of center, off the left side of the roadway into the ditch. Feazell continued south thru the ditch striking a small creek before coming to rest. No injuries were reported. Feazell was cited for Failure to Control.

3 TRAFFIC CRASH: Stephen Federle of South Solon, Oh was traveling north on West Lancaster Rd nearing the intersection of SR 734. Federle traveled into the intersection failing to yield for a vehicle traveling west on SR 734 causing a collision. Both Federle and the operator of the other vehicle Michael Wood of Jeffersonville refused treatment from Ems. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Federle was cited for Failure to Control. Wood was found to be operating while under the influence and was Arrested for OVI. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A female reported a verbal dispute with a known party. No physical harm or threats of harm were made during the dispute THEFT: During the execution of a search warrant, deputies learned that a gas grill had been taken from the residence of Kathleen DeSanto on Walnut Street in the Village of Bloomingburg. During the course of the investigation, deputies located and recovered the stolen item at a residence on Lakeview Avenue in Washington Court House. The grill was returned to the owner. TRAFFIC CRASH: Contessa Hagenmaier of Bloomingburg, Oh was traveling north on White Oak Rd and lost control of her vehicle. Hagenmaier traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch striking a utility pole overturning. Hagenmaier received minor injuries in the crash. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Hagenmaier was cited for Failure to Control. BURGLARY/THEFT: Rinrawee Hoskins of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed items from inside. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Peddicord Ave on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of assault had occurred. FIRE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Cook Yankeetown Rd on reports of a barn fire. Upon arrival the barn was fully engulfed in flames. Tri County Fire responded to the scene to extinguish the fire. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jeri Gabbert of Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown caused damage to the tires on her vehicle. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: David Kingery of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed lawn care equipment. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Carl Riley of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed items. TRAFFIC CRASH: Dustin Dunn of Washington CH was stopped at the stop sign at US 35 and SR 41. Dunn observed the vehicle in front of him moving forward so he proceeded forward striking the rear of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash. Dun was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead. TRAFFIC CRASH: Valerie Stewart of Sabina was traveling east on Haines Rd when Stewart was struck by a deer. No injuries were reported. 4 THEFT: Herbert Mitchell, Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown removed property from his vehicle that was parked outside his residence. BREAKING & ENTERING / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Heather Fryer, of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown forcibly removed a pad lock from her garage, damaging the door and hasp. Upon checking the building nothing was found to be missing. PASSING BAD CHECKS: Employees of One Stop 22 reported they accepted two checks from a known person. Later running the checks through their check verification system they found there were not sufficient funds in the account to cover the checks. BREAKING AND ENTERING: Deputies responded to Pettit s Market, Bloomingburg. Upon arrival the front door was found to have been forcibly entered. It was later determined that business had been entered and property removed. TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles Stewart, of Columbus reported he was west bound on US 35 near the 20 mile marker when two deer entered his lane of travel and were subsequently struck. The truck Mr. Stewart was driving sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: Linda Neil, of Pickerington reports that she was north bound on I-71 near the 71 mile marker when a deer entered her lane of travel and was subsequently struck. The vehicle Ms. Neil s was driving sustained functional damage but was driven from the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: Marvin J. Collins of New Holland, Ohio was traveling south on State Route #207 near McCafferty Road and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported in the crash. CRIMINAL TRESPASS/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Heather Fryer of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered onto her property causing damage to a lock on a unattached garage. Fryer stated no items were missing. PASSING BAD CHECKS: One Stop 22 reported a known subject came to the business obtaining merchandise and made payment with a bad check. TRAFFIC CRASH: Wade Lawrence of Campbell, AL was traveling east on SR 734 and lost control of his vehicle. Campbell traveled off the right side of the roadway striking the ditch. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash. Lawrence was cited for Failure to Control CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Qin Zhu, of Columbus reported her vehicle was scratched while parked on the parking lot of the Tanger Mall. THEFT: Gary Schultz, Xenia reported property was removed from his farm land without permission TRAFFIC CRASH: Brandon Wright of Washington CH was traveling east on US 35 and lost control of his vehicle. Wright travel off the left side of the roadway striking a concrete barrier before coming to rest in the median. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Wright was cited for Failure to Control.

5 TRAFFIC CRASH HIT SKIP: Hannah Stickel, Jeffersonville reported she was informed by a passerby, a vehicle struck her parked vehicle and departed. THEFT: Carolyn Groves, of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown removed property from her yard without permission. THEFT: Terry Bowling, Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown removed property from his yard without permission. ASSIST AGENCY: Deputies assisted the Staff of Fayette Memorial Hospital in restraining a combative 14 year old female juvenile from the Ranch of Opportunity while she was being treated at the ER. Once the juvenile was sedated the juvenile was treated and released to the staff from the Ranch. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Wilma Morris, Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown damaged her vehicle while it was parked outside her residence BURGLARY/THEFT: Nancy McClish of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed items from inside. TRAFFIC CRASH: Eric Stone of Mason, Oh was traveling south on IR 71 when a deer entered the roadway into the path of his vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash. PUBLIC INDECENCY: An employee at Old Navy Outlet in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported an unknown male was in the dressing room exposing himself while the door was open. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Bobby Litteral of Washington C.H., Ohio reported person(s) unknown drove through his yard and damaged the sod. LITTERING: John Persinger of Washington C.H., Ohio reported trash was dumped on his property. THEFT: Kathryn Nichols of Washington C.H., Ohio reported the temporary registration was removed from her vehicle. THEFT: Employee at Tommy Hilfiger Outlets in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported a male was in the store concealing items. The male was located as he left the store. Wesley Spurlock of Charleston, WV was arrested in the incident TRAFFIC CRASH/ HIT SKIP: An unknown person was driving north on SR 753 and lost control negotiating a left curve traveling off the right side of the roadway striking the ditch. The driver of the vehicle departed the scene of the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH: Thomas Vanbibber of Washington CH was traveling north on Post Rd. Vanbibber failed to negotiate a left curve traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a mailbox. No injuries were reported. Vanbibber was cited for Failure to Control.

6 DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: While Sheriff s deputies were responding to a crash on SR 753 a vehicle was located in the roadway in the south bound lane of travel. Upon making contact with the driver an odor of alcohol was observed. Cory Hanna of Greenfield, Oh was arrested and charged with OVI. CRIMINAL DAMAGING/CRIMINAL TREPASS: Tina Newell of Mt Sterling, Oh reported after hearing a loud noise outside her residence she located rose bush person(s) unknown had damaged FICTICIOUS REGISTRATION / DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / DRUG ABUSE: Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not have a front plate displayed. Upon checking the registration it was found that the one plate on the vehicle did not belong to it. Upon making contact with the driver, Elizabeth Savage, of Washington CH the odor of marijuana was detected in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle a quantity of what marijuana and paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. Savage was charged. ASSAULT: Charles Smith of Washington CH reported while in a verbal altercation he was assaulted. The incident was referred to the solicitor for possible charges. UNRULY/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: An employee with the Ranch of Opportunity reported while on a transport to a medical facility with a female juvenile, the juvenile became angry. The juvenile exited the vehicle and began causing damage to the vehicle. Deputies assisted in securing the juvenile. Additional staff from the Ranch of Opportunity picked up the juvenile. The declined prosecution of the female. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Millard Harmon of Washington CH reported a known subject caused damage to his property ENDANGERING CHILDREN: Sheriff s deputies received a complaint of a minor child walking on the roadway. Contact was made with the minor child at which time he was returned to his parents. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Susan Havens of Washington CH reported while parked at the Ranch of Opportunity damage was caused to her vehicle. TRAFFIC CRASH: Casey Karn of New Holland, OH was traveling North on SR 753. Karn advised he fell asleep striking the rear of another vehicle also traveling north on SR 753. No injuries were reported. Karn was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead. ENDANGERING CHILDREN: Sheriff s deputies responded to Tanger Outlet Mall on reports of a child left unattended in a vehicle. Upon arrival the mother had returned to the vehicle. The mother was counseled and a copy of the report was forwarded to Children Services. GAMBLING/THEFT: Tricia Shepard of New London, Oh reported while resting at the rest area on IR 71 person(s) unknown knocked on her vehicle window advising some people outside would double her money. Once Shepard displayed her money from her purse person(s) unknown grabbed the money and departed

7 BURGLARY/THEFT: Debbie Cox of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown forced entry into her residence and removed items from inside. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Donald Suttles of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown caused damage to a window at his residence. AGGRAVATED MENACING: Deputies were present at a residence while property was being retrieved from the residence. In the presence of the deputy, Michael Hains made a threatening statement towards William Seitz. Hains was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. THEFT: Valerie Hofman, Dayton, reported her unlocked vehicle was entered while it was parked at the Tanger Mall and property was removed. CIVIL: Michael Hains, Washington CH reported following his release from the Fayette Co. Jail he returned home and found several electronic items missing and believed to have been taken by a known female. Hains was advised that this is a civil matter and was referred to small claims court. POSSIBLE DRUG ABUSE: Paul Grubb, an employee at YUSA reported an unknown substance was found in the facility. The item was turned over to the Sheriff s Office for disposal. CRIMINAL DAMAGING / THEFT / CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Joshua Hart, of Hillsboro reported several semi-trucks were entered while parked at Parrish Towing and property was removed NALOXONE USE: Deputies and EMS were dispatched to the Flying J Truck Stop on a report of an unresponsive male. The victim was revived with the administration of Narcan and subsequently transported to the Fayette Co. Memorial Hospital for treatment. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to the Tanger Mall on the report of a domestic incident. Upon making contact with both parties, neither reported any threats of harm or physical altercation. Both subjects departed without further incident. ASSAULT: Travis Ivey of Washington CH reported during a verbal argument at his residence he was assaulted by a known subject. An Arrest warrant was issued. James Cottrell was located and transported to the Fayette County Jail on the warrant ENDANGERING CHILDREN / TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE / AGGRAVATED TRAFFICKING IN DRUGS / DRUG ABUSE / DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Deputies were requested to attempt to locate a vehicle from a hit-skip accident in the city of Washington CH. The vehicle was located at a residence on Parrott-Station Rd. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Tiara Adams and Timothy Sloan, both of Jeffersonville permission to search the vehicle was obtained and substances that appeared to be drugs were located. During this incident Adams minor child was with them in the vehicle. Both adults were arrested on these charges and subsequently transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. Children s Services was contacted and took temporary custody of the child. BURGLARY/THEFT: Peggy Funk of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered her residence removing items from inside. No forced entry.

8 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Stafford Rd on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats had occurred. BURGALRY/THEFT: Michelle Self of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed items from inside TRAFFIC CRASH HIT SKIP: An unknown person was backing in a parking lot of 4799 US 62 S. The driver failed to observe a sign, striking it then departed the scene. THEFT: Tommy Hilfiger Tanger Outlets reported an unknown female entered the business, obtained clothing, and departed the store without making payment. BURGLARY/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Paulette Humphrey of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown forced entry into her residence. No items were reported missing. POSSESSION OF DRUGS/ NALOXONE USE: Sheriff s deputies responded to an address in the Village of Jeffersonville on reports of an unresponsive female. Upon deputies arrival Naloxone was administered and the female regained consciousness. Fayette County EMS responded to the scene transporting the female to medical facility. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Jamison Rd on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred TRAFFIC CRASH: Monica Jefferson of Turtle Creek, PA was traveling south on IR 71 when she struck a coyote in the roadway. The vehicle sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported. THEFT: Employees of Old Navy Outlet store, Tanger Mall reported two subjects concealed merchandise and departed prior to law enforcement arrival. CIVIL: Sheril Hosch, Washington CH reported she paid a known subject from Gahanna to make repairs to a vehicle she owns, however, the repairs have not been made INDUCING PANIC / CONVEYANCE OR POSSESSION OF A WEAPON ON SCHOOL GROUNDS / AGGRAVATED MENACING: Deputies responded to a report of a 10 year old student who reportedly displayed a gun to other students and threatened them with physical harm. The gun was found to be a toy gun. Charges were filed in the Fayette County Juvenile Court. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jonathon Williams of Greenfield, OH was east on Greenfield-Sabina Rd and lost control of his vehicle. Williams traveled off the right side of the roadway into a field coming to rest on a woods. No injuries were reported. Williams was cited for Failure to Control. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Brittany Gorman of Columbus, OH reported while in a vehicle with a known subject she was assaulted. Levi Maurice of Columbus, OH was arrested and charged in the matter.

9 SUSPICIOUS: Jennifer Kearns of Washington CH reported an unknown male subject arrived at her residence knocking on the door asking to be let inside. Sheriff s deputies patrolled the area, however were unable to locate the male WELFARE CHECK: Deputies responded to a request to check on the welfare of an 11 year old female, in Jeffersonville. Contact was made with the guardian and the child. The child was not in distress and the residence checked ok. CIVIL: Brandy Jones, Jeffersonville reported she sold her vehicle to Mairon Marian, of Circleville. Marian arrived with a tow truck and picked up the vehicle. Jones failed to remove her license plates from the vehicle prior to Mr. Marian picking it up. Jones requested the plates be returned to her, however Marian declined to drive them back to her, but told her they were available for her to pick up in Circleville. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a SR 734 address on a reported verbal dispute between a male and female. Both parties were denied any physical altercation or threats. Both were counseled and directed to obtain a formal custody order of the children to avoid disputes. UNRULY / CONTRIBUTING TO THE UNRULINESS OF A MINOR: Deputies responded to a reported suspicious vehicle on Miami Trace Road. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle one was determined to be 16 year old female. The other subject was an adult male. The female was transported to a family member s residence and placed in their custody ESCAPE / PROSTITUTION: A female prisoner, Brittani Stroup, was transported to the Fayette Co Memorial Hospital for a reported injury sustained in the jail. While at the hospital Ms. Stroup fled on foot. She was later located at a residence in the city and returned to the jail. Stroup was additionally charged with prostitution after a subsequent interview of a male subject, the resident of the apartment. TRAFFIC CRASH: Joshua Golden of Jeffersonville was traveling west on US 35 and lost control of his vehicle. Golden lost control traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. No injuries were reported. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Kelli Brown of Washington CH reported an unknown male subject wearing dark clothing was observed in the backyard of her residence. Sheriff s deputies patrolled the area and was unable to locate any subjects in the area. THEFT: Employees from Nike reported an unknown male removed property from the business without paying for it. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Richard Wilson, age 65 of Washington CH, reported an unknown person(s) damaged property as his residence. CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: Gina Shaw, age 52 of Washington CH, reported an unknown person(s) damaged the window to her vehicle allowing them to gain access to the interior of the vehicle. Ms. Shaw reported that once inside the vehicle that the unknown person(s) removed personal property from the vehicle.

10 CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: Curtis Maynard, age 28 of Washington CH, reported an unknown person(s) damaged the window to his vehicle allowing them to gain access to the interior of the vehicle. Mr. Maynard reported that once inside the vehicle that the unknown person(s) removed personal property belonging to himself and his wife s employer TRAFFIC CRASH: Trevur Keaton of Lancaster, Ohio was traveling northbound on I-71 entering the overpass at Route 435. Keaton lost control due to ice on the bridge at which time Keaton vehicle overturned. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jelani Mohamed of Columbus, Ohio was traveling northbound on I-71 near Exit 65 and lost control on an overpass due to ice. Mohamed struck a vehicle that had previously overturned and was in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. THEFT: Employees of Eddie Bauer Outlets in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported two unknown females entered the store and concealed items of clothing. The females then departed. TRAFFIC CRASH: Erin Teague, age 22 of South Solon, was traveling south bound on State Route 41 when her vehicle struck a patch of ice, went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn. Erin Teague and Ashley Teague, a passenger in the vehicle, were both transported to Jamestown ER for medical treatment. TRAFFIC CRASH: Gina O Flanagan, age 60 of Ontario Canada, was north bound on I-71 when her vehicle struck a patch of ice causing the vehicle to lose control and make contact with a guard rail. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Tyler Powell, age 18 of Greenfield, was traveling north bound on State Route 41 that his vehicle struck a patch of ice causing the vehicle to strike the ditch and overturn multiple times. No injuries were reported. BREAKING & ENTERING: The front door glass was broken out at Pettit s Grocery Store in Bloomingburg, Ohio by unknown person(s), allowing the unknown person(s) to gain entry. The investigation is pending. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jamie Hannah, age 30 of Washington CH, was traveling west bound on US 35 when her vehicle struck a sheet of ice causing her to lose control of her vehicle. Hannah s vehicle struck a concrete barrier CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: June Moore of Bloomingburg, Oh reported person(s) unknown sometime overnight caused damage to the tires on her vehicle and removed items from inside. TELEPHONE HARRASSMENT: Melissa Fields of Washington CH reported a known subject has called and texted her several times after being asked not to. 11 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Frances Hammond, age 51 of Washington CH, reported a known male threatened to throw her out of a second story window. Hammond was referred to the city solicitor regarding any further action. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Crystal Fields, age 54 of Washington CH, reported a known male and female were calling and texting her after she had asked them not to. Fields refused criminal charges and only requested a report be made NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Debra Harter, Washington CH reported she was involved in an ongoing dispute over property lines with a neighbor. Both parties were contacted and counseled. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a third party report of a domestic incident. Upon making contact with the involved parties, they reported a verbal dispute only with no threats of harm or physical altercation. THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jessica Mess of Jeffersonville reported after a dispute with a known male she departed the residence. Mess advised when she returned to her residence her cell phone was missing and damage was caused to her television. THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Richard Wilson of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown forcibly entered his vehicle and removed items from inside. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Deputies made service of a protection order at the Fayette Co. Jail to a respondent. He indicated he understood the restrictions of the protection order and denied possessing any firearms. FIRE: Deputies, along with Tri-County Fire Department, Bloomingburg-Marion-Paint Twp Fire Department and Washington CH Fire Department responded to a report of a Travel Trailer fire on US 62 N. Upon arriving the 1990 Travel Trailer was found to be fully involved. The trailer was completely destroyed and the nearby residence sustained damage from the flames. The fire was extinguished by the responding fire departments. BREAKING AND ENTERING / THEFT: Zebulon Workman, Bloomingburg reported someone entered his garage and removed property. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Employees of the Job and Family Services reported they had been receiving numerous harassing telephone calls from a known subject. The alleged suspect was contacted at her residence and directed to cease contact with the local office or charges would be filed. ENDANGERING CHILDREN / OVI / DUS / OPEN CONTAINER Deputies responded to Bloomingburg on a report that Joseph O Dell departed a residence with a child in vehicle not belonging to him, and without the owner s consent. The vehicle was located with O Dell driving and the child passenger. O Dell was determined to be under the influence of alcohol with alcohol in the vehicle. O Dell s driver s license was also found to be suspended. O Dell was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail on these charges. BURGLARY: Samantha Boggs, Jeffersonville reported someone entered her residence and removed property.

12 TELEPHONE HARASSMENT / MENACING: Cindy Rollins, Washington CH reported she has been receiving unwanted telephone calls and text messages from a known subject, David Burlile, Jr, despite her repeated requests not to have any contact. She states that during these calls she states he threatened to physically harm her. Additionally, Nikki Rollins, of Washington CH reported she attempted to intercede in these calls which resulted in Mr. Burlile also threatened her with physical harm. A warrant was issued and Burlile was arrested on the warrant. MENACING: Teshia Johnson of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported she received texts from a known female. Johnson was referred to the solicitor. B&E/THEFT: David Workman of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported person(s) unknown forced entry into his vacant residence and removed items from inside BURGLARY/THEFT: Margaret Hill of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported while she was away from her residence person(s) unknown had entered her residence and removed items from inside TRAFFIC CRASH: Chyenne Allen, Washington CH, was north bound on US 62 near Rowe Ging Rd, when she struck a dead deer laying in the roadway. Allen s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. ENDANGERING CHILDREN: During a custody exchange of a 3 year old, it was reported the child s father forcibly grabbed the child by the arm and removed him from the business and departed. Local police were contacted and conducted a welfare check of the child. The child was found not be injured and in a good demeanor. ILLEGAL CROSSING DIVIDED HIGHWAY: Deputies responded to a report of a wrong way driver south bound in the north bound lanes. The vehicle was located and stopped at the 69 mile marker. Upon making contact with the driver he appeared to be disoriented and was unaware of his location. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver was transported to a motel. Thomas Jackson was cited for this violation. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A vehicle owned by Alpha Combs was damaged while parked at J s Corner Bar. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a reported one vehicle hit-skip accident on Jeffersonville-West Lancaster Rd. Upon investigating the scene it was determined that the vehicle was north bound on Jeffersonville-West Lancaster Rd., when it traveled off the left side of the roadway, where it sideswiped a tree, re-entered the roadway and again ran off the left side of the roadway causing damage to the ditch. The driver, Julianna Everhart, was located at her residence in Jeffersonville, and admitted to driving the vehicle. Everhart was cited for Failing to Maintain Control CRIMINAL DAMAGING / THEFT / MISUSE OF CREDIT CARD: Ron Bowser, Kittanning, PA reported his vehicle had been forcibly entered while parked at the Hampton Inn and property taken. Later upon checking the transactions on his credit cards, Bowers found it had been used at a business in the Allen Rd area.

The vehicle was determined to have been south bound on SR41 when for unknown reasons it traveled off the left side of the roadway where it struck two mail boxes and entered the front yard of 3278 SR 41 N, turned around and departed out of the residence. The vehicle and driver are unknown at this time. TRAFFIC CRASH: Billy Joe Whitfield, of Decatur, GA was north bound on US 62 near West Rd, when heavy winds blew over his semi-truck and trailer. The vehicle overturned into the ditch. The Sheriff s Emergency Response Team, Bloomingburg, Marion & Paint Twp Fire Department and Fayette Co. EMS responded to the scene. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: An employee at the Baymont Inn reported while cleaning a room at the business she located items used for drug abuse. The items were recovered by deputies and placed into property CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Samantha Faulkner, age 24 of Bloomingburg, reported an unknown person drove into her yard and tampered with personal property located at the residence. TRAFFIC CRASH: David Bailey, age 27 of Washington CH, was south bound on State Route 753 and his vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle being operated by Randy Newland, age 55 of Greenfield. Newland received medical attention from the Fayette County EMS and was transported to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Newland was issued a citation for ACDA. TAKING THE IDENTITY OF ANOTHER: Rodney Boswell of Washington CH reported he was notified by his credit card carrier advising several attempts were made to obtain merchandise using his personal information. Boswell advised neither attempt was successful and he had no loss at time of report.

14 VIOLATION OF PROTECTION ORDER: Sheriff s deputies responded to a domestic incident on Jane St in the Village of Jeffersonville. During the investigation it was determined there was a protection order in effect. William Howard was arrested and charged in the matter.
