Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio (740) MARCH NEWS Last updated 04/08/ TRAFFIC CRASH: A 16 year old male was south bound on Mills Rd. attempting to negotiate a left hand curve, when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, through the ditch and then striking the Mills Drainage ditch. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. The juvenile driver was cited for failure to control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Kimberly Myers, Washington CH reported she was north bound on Creek Rd, when a deer entered her lane of travel and was struck. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. FORGERY / THEFT: Connie Haynes, Jeffersonville reported upon checking her bank statements she found that several checks had been stolen and cashed. Upon further checking she was able to identify the suspect. Investigation is continuing. DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY FIGHTING: Deputies working the jail responded to a disturbance in one of the female cells. Upon arriving they found two female inmates in a verbal argument which escalated into a mutual physical altercation. The responding Deputies entered the cell and separated the inmates. Inmate Vernon was moved to another cell to prevent further conflict. Neither inmate sustained any injury. TRAFFIC CRASH: Timothy L. Mosier of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling southbound on S R 41 South near Miami Trace Road when Mosier failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle. Mosier traveled left of center, off of the east side of the roadway striking the ditch and culvert. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. Mosier was cited for failure to control. BURGLARY / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Kelsey Johnson, New Holland reported upon returning to her residence, she found the entry door had been forcibly entered. Upon checking the residence nothing was found to be missing. Damage was noted to the door and door frame DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: David McKee, Bloomingburg reported during a verbal argument with a known subject. Mr. McKee declined charges in this matter.

2 CRIMINAL DAMAGING: An employee of the Village Pump, Jeffersonville reported sometime within the past 24hours persons unknown damaged the business security cameras. BREAKING & ENTERING, THEFT: Zackery S. Sedlmeyer of Washington CH, Ohio reported sometime on 3/24/2015 person(s) unknown trespassed on the property of Camden s Storage, forced entry to his storage locker removing several items. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a McDowell Street residence in Bloomingburg on a reported verbal dispute between two family members. THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE/UNRULY JUVENILE: Richard Williamson of Washington C.H., Ohio reported a 15 year old male took his vehicle without permission. The juvenile subsequently returned the vehicle to the residence. Williamson declined charges. TRAFFIC CRASH: Tony Baymon of Fort Wayne, IN was traveling Eastbound on State Route 35 near State Route 435 when a goose flew into the windshield of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage THEFT: Robert L. Collins of Mount Sterling, Ohio reported sometime within the past couple of months persons unknown removed a firearms from his residence. THEFT: Wael Nassif of Columbus, Ohio reported he left a bag near the front door of Tommy Hilfiger and when he returned person(s) unknown had removed the bag from the store. MENACING: Beth Hagler of Washington C.H., Ohio reported while she was in a local establishment she was threatened by a known male. TRAFFIC CRASH: Carolyn Bonham of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling south on State Route 753 and began to make a left turn onto Washington-Good Hope Rd. Bonham turned into the path of Darena Pritchard of Greenfield, Ohio who was traveling north bound on State Route 753 causing a collision. Both Bonham and Pritchard were transported to Fayette County memorial for treatment. Both vehicle sustained moderate damage. Bonham was cited in the crash. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Marilyn Gibbs of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported she was verbally threatened by her husband. Wesley A. Gibbs was charged in the offense MISSING PERSON: Wilbur Grubb of Jeffersonville, Ohio was reported missing by a family member. Grubb was later located in Clark County. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Amie Botello and Leslie Coe of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported that person(s) unknown cut the tires on their vehicles while they were parked on the lot of the apartment complex. TRAFFIC CRASH: Lydia Nenadov of Mansfield, OH was stopped at a traffic light on Allen Rd near State Route 435. Shirley Smith of Delaware, Ohio struck the rear of Nenadov s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Smith was cited for ACDA CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Employees of the Village of Jeffersonville reported overnight person(s) unknown vandalized a ball diamond dug out by spray painting.

3 THEFT, PROBATION VIOLATION WARRANT: An employee of Woodbury Outfitters, Jeffersonville reported a known person had taken items from the store without payment. Jami Furguson of Washington CH, Ohio was charged in the offense. Furguson was also arrested on two outstanding warrants. THEFT: An employee of Charley s Grill, Jeffersonville reported an internal theft involving another employee. Prosecution was declined at the time of the report. CIVIL DISPUTE: David B. Daniels of Greenfield, Ohio reported he was involved in a verbal dispute with a known person over a canine THEFT: A Time Warner Cable employee reported finding an unauthorized cable connection at Vine St., Jeffersonville. THEFT: Ashley Brown, of Jeffersonville reported finding the front license plate missing from her vehicle. MENACING: A Jeffersonville resident reported receiving a threatening message via social media from a known subject believed to be out of the country. MENACING: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a menacing complaint in Jefferson Township. Reports indicate the victim was verbally threatened by a known male. Deputies made contact with the male subject. No charges were filed. TRAFFIC CRASH: McKenzie R. Garrett of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling northbound on S R 41 North near Culpepper Trace when Garrett struck a canine in the roadway. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. The owner of the canine was unknown at the time the report. ASSAULT: An inmate housed in the Fayette County Jail reported he was assaulted by another inmate DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to Jeffersonville on a verbal dispute between male and female. Contact was made with both parties who denied any threats or physical altercation. Both were referred to their attorneys for further resolution. FIRE: Angela Hays, Washington CH reported her residence had been struck by lightning causing damage to electrical wires and drywall in the residence. The Wayne Twp Fire Department shut off electrical power to the residence and Ms. Hays was directed to contact a contractor to make repairs. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE / MENACING: Deputies responded to a residence in Jeffersonville on a reported dispute between neighbors. Neither wished to pursue charges and both were advised to leave the other alone. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: An employee with Buckeye Community Apartments reported a known subject was recently evicted and they don t want the subject to return. The known subject was given a criminal trespass order not to return to the property.

4 THEFT: Wayne Township Trustees reported person(s) unknown removed a trail camera from their property TRAFFIC CRASH: Sara McGorry, Dayton, Oh reported her vehicle was parked on the lot of the Dollar General store in Jeffersonville. Customers advised her that her vehicle had just been struck by another vehicle departing the lot. Ms. McGorry was able to obtain the license plate number of the vehicle as it was departing. This vehicle was subsequently located and it matched the description of the vehicle that was observed departing the lot. Linda Burris was contacted and upon checking the vehicle, damage consistent with what would be expected from the reported accident was observed, however, Burris denies being involved in the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH: Colleen H. Umbehant of Comer, Georgia was traveling southbound on I-71 near mile post#69 when Umbehant failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead striking a another motor vehicle in the rear, operated by Abdirisaq Salad Burjeb of Columbus, Ohio. The vehicles suffered moderate damage. No injuries were reported. Umbehant was cited for assured clear distanced ahead. THEFT: Courtney Avilla, Employee of Buckeye Community Apartments reported that upon inspecting an apartment following the eviction of a tenant on March 3 rd, 2015, it was noted that the refrigerator and stove were missing. The former tenant was contacted and stated he would return the items. As of the date of this report the property had not been returned. THEFT: Thomas Long, Manager of Lucky You, Jeffersonville reported that an internal theft had been discovered and upon confronting the involved employee they admitted to the theft. This matter remains under investigation. ASSIST ANOTHER AGENCY / DRUG ABUSE / POSSESSION DANGEROUS DRUGS / POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / PROBATION VIOLATION: The Washington CH Municipal Court Probation Officers requested the assistance of Deputies while conducting a probation search of a residence within the City of Washington CH. During this search illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments were located. John Balcom was arrested and charged with probation violation and possession of drug abuse instruments. Mari Todd was charged with probation violation. Both were transported to the Fayette Co. Jail pending their appearance in Municipal Ct. ILLEGAL WINDOW TINT / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: Deputies initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle within the village of Jeffersonville for Illegal Window Tint. Upon making contact with the occupants the officer came to believe there was illegal drugs within the vehicle. Canine Deputy Ben conducted a sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive indication of the presence of illegal drugs. A subsequent search of the vehicle produce a quantity of marijuana and a pipe used to smoke marijuana. Justin Rittenhouse, of South Solon was issued a summons on these charges. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a residence in Jeffersonville on a verbal dispute. No physical altercation or threats were alleged.

5 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to East Concord Lane in the Village of Bloomingburg, Ohio on a domestic incident. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no assault or threat of violence occurred. CIVIL: Candy Black of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that an unknown person was taking boards and other building material down off her property. Deputies determined the person is an employee of the land owner and was taking items down due to the property being condemned by the Fayette County Health Department. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to Lincoln St in the Village of Bloomingburg, Ohio on a domestic incident. Upon the completion of the investigation the parties involved were uncooperative. No signs of assault were observed or any claims of threats of violence TRAFFIC CRASH: Morgan L. Ford of Jeffersonville, Ohio was backing from a parking space at the Miami Trace High School when Ford struck a parked motor vehicle, owned by Roger W. Ison. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. CIVIL INCIDENT: Neighbors reported observing a former resident of a Bloomingburg home loading appliances into a truck. Contact was made with the subjects involved. ATTEMPTED THEFT: Employees at Woodbury Outfitter, Jefferson Crossing observed Steven Spurlock on video concealing merchandise on his person. When confronted by Deputies he no longer had the item in his possession, but did admit to concealing it with the intent to steal it. Mr. Spurlock was arrested on this charge. CIVIL INCIDENT: Arthur McCann, Mt. Sterling reported he had arranged for the delivery of two cords of firewood. The initial delivery of one cord was made on January 26 th, 2015, with the understanding that the second cord would be delivered on the next date, so he made full payment by check. As of this date the second cord has not been delivered. Mr. McCann was referred to Small Claims Court. ASSAULT: Sarah Throckmorton, Washington CH reported she had been involved in a verbal argument with a known subject. Throckmorton was referred to the City Solicitor if she wished to pursue charges. TRAFFIC CRASH: The Fayette County Sheriff s Office is currently investigating a one-vehicle injury traffic crash that occurred on State Route #38 near the intersection of Bloomingburg-New Holland Road in Union Township, Fayette County on Tuesday evening, March 24, 2015 at 7:40 p.m. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, a 1985 Lincoln Continental operated by Dennis L. Merritt II, Age 21 of Washington Court House was traveling northeast on State Route #38 when Merritt failed to negotiate a right curve, losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a guard rail. After collision with the guard rail, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a steep ditch and continuing into an agricultural field, partially overturning before coming to rest. Merritt and a rear seat passenger, identified as Frandral L. Kelley, Age 43 of Washington Court House were reportedly unrestrained and ejected from the vehicle. Two additional passengers in the Merritt vehicle, identified as Chana D. Moore, Age 36 of Washington Court House (front seat passenger) and Heather A. Holloway, Age 35 of Washington Court House (rear seat passenger) were also injured in the crash. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Kelley, Moore, and Holloway were all airlifted by medical helicopter to Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center with serious

6 injuries. Merritt was transported by Fayette County EMS to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. Responding to the crash scene with deputies was members of the Sheriff s Rescue Unit, Sheriff s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit, Fayette County EMS, and members of the Washington Court House Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff s Office ATTEMPTED BREAKING AND ENTERING: Bob Hall II of Washington CH, Ohio reported he observed an unknown male attempt to force entry to his garage. HIT/SKIP CRASH: Ida M. Sallee of Martinsville, Ohio reported while at the Tanger Outlet Mall an unknown person struck her parked motor vehicle TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a one vehicle crash on Bonner Rd. near Ghormley Rd. Upon arriving at the scene it was determined that Jeremy Purdin, Greenfield was south bound on Bonner Rd, when he lost control of his vehicle, traveling off the left side of the roadway into the ditch where he struck a fence belonging to Thomas Beatty, Greenfield. Upon interviewing Mr. Purdin it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Purdin was arrested and charged with OVI, Failure to Control, and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Employees of the Baymont Inn, Jeffersonville, Ohio reported several of their guests were intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Contact was made with the tenants. They were advised of the complaint. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Jessica Cooper of Washington CH, Ohio reported she was involved in a verbal altercation with a family member. UNRULY: Tina R. Garinger of Washington CH, Ohio reported her juvenile son had become unruly toward her and other family members. The juvenile was counseled. DISORDERLY BY INTOXICATION: Sheriff s deputies responded to Harrison Road on a complaint. Upon arrival deputies located an intoxicated female walking in the roadway. Angel Davis of Washington CH was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Brooke Merritt of Jeffersonville reported while in a verbal argument with known subject she was assaulted. Zackery Merritt was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jesse Tharp of Greenfield was traveling south on US 62 and lost control of his vehicle. Tharp traveled off the right side of the roadway striking the ditch causing Tharp s vehicle to overturn. Tharp was treated at the scene by Ems. Tharp was cited for Failure to Control. BURGLARY/THEFT: Jennifer Belcher of Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed property from inside. TELEPHONE HARRASSMENT: Mariah Jones of Jeffersonville reported receiving unwanted calls from a known subject making threats. Jones declined prosecution in the matter. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: An employee at the Village Pump and Pizza reported person(s) unknown using sidewalk chalk wrote offensive writing on the sidewalk outside the business.

7 THEFT / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Richard Huff, New Holland reported overnight person(s) unknown forced entry into his company work truck and removed property belonging to Central Fire Protection, Springfield, Ohio. TELECOMMUNICATIONS FRAUD: Fred Jackson, Greenfield reported he has received numerous voic messages from a company attempting to make contact with an unknown female. Contact was made with the company and they indicated they would remove his number from their call list. VEHICLE DAMAGE: Katie Fout, Huber Heights reported as she was traveling on US 35 the front left wheel came off the vehicle. Ms. Fout stated she recently had work done on that wheel and the lugs had come off as she was driving. FIRE: Christopher Fleak, Bloomingburg reported he was driving his father s truck in a field when it became stuck in the mud. The truck subsequently caught on fire. The vehicle was extinguished by Bloomingburg-Marion Twp Paint Twp Fire Department. The vehicle sustained heavy damage from the fire. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Several employees of TFO reported receiving threatening phone calls from a male threatening physical harm to themselves and property. ASSAULT: Rebecca Colan, South Solon reported upon exiting the Village Pump she was assaulted by two unknown females. Ms. Colan was transported to the Fayette Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment of her injuries. TRAFFIC CRASH: Patrick Summers, Washington CH was south bound on US62 near Dickey Rd., when he fell asleep and stuck the vehicle in front of him, which was operated by Albert Hodge, of Bloomingburg. Mr. Summers vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway through a ditch and striking a culvert. Mr. Summers vehicle went airborne and returned to the roadway where it struck Mr. Hodge s vehicle again. Mr. Summers was cited for Failure to Maintain an Assured Clear Distance Ahead. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: A protection Order was served pursuant to the order of the court CIVIL: A Bloomingburg Trailer Park resident advised she and a roommate had been evicted. When she returned to retrieve her property, she found several items damaged and in the trash. Numerous items of clothing were also missing. Ms. Burlile was referred to small claims court concerning this incident. THEFT / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: David Duff, of Washington CH reported overnight person(s) unknown removed items from a construction worksite, damaging equipment in doing so. FOUND PROPERTY: Maintenance workers at Buckeye Apartments reported while cleaning out a vacant apartment, a used hypodermic syringe was found. The syringe was collected and properly disposed of.

8 TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Chris Hess, of Jamestown reported he received several telephone calls threatening physical harm to himself and others. The incident remains under investigation. ASSAULT: Blake Rife, of Washington CH reported he had been assaulted by a known subject. Upon interviewing both subjects it was determined to be a mutual fight. Both parties were referred to the City Solicitor if they wished to pursue charges. CASUALTY: A female inmate housed in the Fayette County Jail reported she fell from a bunk in the jail and injured her leg. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a Criminal Trespass complaint in the Village of New Holland. Reports indicate an unknown male was seen on the property, but departed prior to Deputies arrival. Deputies made a check of the area but were unable to locate the unknown male NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a neighbor dispute on SR 38 in Paint Township. Reports indicate the two neighbors were involved in a verbal dispute over one neighbor s dogs running loose in the other neighbor s yard. The owner of the dogs was given a warning to confine their dogs to their property THEFT: Robert K. Guthrie of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported he had entered into a contract with a known person on a construction project. The construction was not completed and Guthrie was charged for materials that were not used or received. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Katey Reed of Washington CH, Ohio reported she was assaulted by a family member. Camry M. Lower of Washington CH, Ohio was charged in the offense. CRIMINAL TRESPASS, OBSTRUCTING, POSSESSION OF DRUGS ABUSE INSTRUMENTS, Sheriff s deputies were dispatched to the Buckeye Apartments on Delaware Street on a Trespassing complaints. Upon officers arrival they located a male and female who had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Courtney Newland of Washington CH, Ohio was taken into custody without incident on his arrest warrant. Destiny Daniels of Washington CH, Ohio fled the area on foot and was apprehended a short distance later. Daniels was charged with criminal trespass, possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, and an active arrest warrant. TRAFFIC CRASH: Taylor R. McQuay of Springboro, Ohio was traveling northbound on U S rte 62, and turned onto S R 753. McQuay traveled left of center striking a vehicle head on operated by Janet J. Hunt of Washington CH, Ohio. McQuay was treated on the scene by squad personnel; Hunt was transported to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. McQuay was cited for Left of Center. UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: Virginia Frazier of Washington CH, Ohio reported two known persons used her motor vehicle without her permission. PROPERTY DAMAGE / TRAIN DERAILED: the Indiana Ohio Railroad reported asphalt damage to Cline Road after a single rail car derailed from the Railroad Tracks.

9 THEFT: An employee of Blair Trucking, Washington CH, Ohio reported a known person removed a key from the business. The key was returned. Prosecution was declined at the time of the report. VEHICLE DAMAGE: Mike Madden of Washington CH, Ohio reported a tree limb fell on his vehicle while it was parked at his residence. MENACING: Kate Thompson of South Solon, Ohio reported she was verbally threatened by a known person. Prosecution was declined at the time of the report THEFT: Taryl Carter, an employee of Michael Kors Outlet Store, Jeffersonville reported two purses were taken from the business. FIRE: Bryan Sowers, of Greenfield reported while traveling on SR753 a fire started in the left rear wheel area of his vehicle. The fire eventually spread to the rest of the vehicle. Wayne Twp. Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. MENACING: Deputies responded to Colonial Drive in Jeffersonville on reports of alleged physical harm made by a known subject. Prosecution was declined. MENACING BY STALKING: A report was made concerning distress caused to a 16 year old male due to allegations made by a known subject. TRAFFIC CRASH: Chelsey Wright of Bowersville was traveling east on Old 35 and lost control of her vehicle. Wright traveled off the left side of the roadway into a farm field. No injuries were reported. Wright was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Darrell Daniels of Frankfort, Ohio was traveling eastbound on U S rte 35 East near S R 753 when Daniels vehicle was struck by flying debris from another eastbound vehicle. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. THEFT: An employee of Osh Kosh B Gosh reported persons unknown removed merchandise from the business without payment THEFT: Brittany Luke of Sabina reported while at work person(s) unknown removed her cell phone from the break room. TRAFFIC CRASH: James Feary of Washington CH was traveling north on SR 41 and lost control of his vehicle. Feary traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a fire hydrant. Feary continued north striking a telephone pole. Feary was transported by Ems to a medical facility for treatment. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Feary was cited for Failure to Control PHYSICAL CONTROL: A sheriff s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Camp Grove Road on a complaint of an unknown vehicle parked on the lawn. James E. Donahue of Washington CH, Ohio was located inside the vehicle, and under the influence of alcohol. Donahue was charged in the offense.

10 CRIMINAL DAMAGING/ THEFT: Janna Kiger of Washington CH reports person(s) unknown caused damage to the window of her vehicle removing items from inside THEFT: A Miami Trace School faculty member reported a theft by a known juvenile. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. UNRULY JUVENILE / WANTED PERSON / FUGITIVE: Deputies responded to the South Bound Rest Area on I-71 on a report of an unruly juvenile. Upon arrival the Deputies were informed that the 16 year old female had become disruptive in the vehicle and when her mother pulled into the rest area the child fled on foot. The child was located and returned to the vehicle. While checking the warrant status of the mother, Rebecca Brammann, of Clarksville, TN, it was learned she had an outstanding warrant from Ross County. Ms. Brammann was arrested on the warrant and transferred to Ross Co. Other family members took custody of the child. TRAFFIC CRASH: Omari Lodge, Griffith, In traveled onto Old Chillicothe Rd. to the dead end at US 35, past signs indicating no outlet and no semi turn around. Mr. Lodge then attempted to drive his tractor trailer semi around the Old Custom Lawn Care building and became stuck in the mud. The vehicle had to be towed out. Mr. Lodge was cited for failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. BURGLARY: David Long, Greenfield reported that he believed his home had been entered by person(s) unknown. However, no property was found to be missing and there were no signs of forced entry. THEFT: An employee of Flagway#1 reported a known person pumped fuel then departed without payment. The subject was located. Restitution was made and prosecution declined. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to Delaware Street on a report of a verbal dispute between family members ASSAULT: Brandon E. King of Washington CH, Ohio reported he was assaulted by a known person. King was referred to the village solicitor. THEFT: Employee s of Flagway #11 reported a subject pumped fuel into his vehicle and when his credit card was declined, he was allowed to obtain funds to make payment. The subject did not return. Upon checking the vehicle the responding Deputy observed that all the lug bolts were sheared off the rotor. Ms. Osborne reported no injury and stated that she would arrange for a wrecker service to make pick-up at a later time. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Courtney M. Case of Washington CH, Ohio reported she was involved in a verbal and physical altercation with a family member. Dustin Washburn was arrested on a warrant for domestic violence. UNRULY: A resident of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported her juvenile son had become unruly within the household. The juvenile was counseled.

THEFT: William Langley of Washington CH, Ohio reported sometime within the past 24 hours persons unknown removed his tool box from his truck bed TRAFFIC CRASH: Ernest Sample of Riverdale, Georgia was making a U-turn on the drive to the Country Club when Sample s vehicle became stuck in the lawn causing minor sod damage. BURGLARY/THEFT: Raymond Massropian of Bloomingburg reports person(s) unknown forced entry into his residence and removed items from inside. THEFT: Mary Howland of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed a laptop computer from her residence. UNRULY: Sheriff s deputies made contact on Jasper Coil Rd on an unruly juvenile. Contact was made with a female. She was counseled on her behavior. MENACING: Brittany Cooper of Washington CH reported known subject came to her residence and threatened her. Deputies received conflicting statements of the incident. Cooper was referred to the solicitor if she wished to pursue criminal charges. THEFT OF LICENSE PLATE: Curt McKinney of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed a license plate from a horse trailer at his residence THEFT: Cora Pollard of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported a known person withdrew funds from her bank account. TRAFFIC CRASH: Marine L. Parson, of El Centro, CA. was attempting to leave a parking space at Travel Centers of America Truck Stop when her trailer struck another truck parked next to her. The other vehicle owned by Cristian Lechintan, of Gurnee, IL sustained functional damage to the front of the tractor. No damage was reported to Ms. Parson s trailer.

12 TRAFFIC CRASH: Marine Parson of El Centro, California operating a semi-tractor on the parking lot of Travel Centers of America. While making a left turn from a parking spot Parson struck a parked semi. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Anthony Anders of Washington CH was traveling east on Old US 35 and lost control of his vehicle. Anders traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a traffic sign. Anders continued east striking a mailbox. Anders continued traveling across the roadway off the right side coming to rest in a farm field. No injuries were reported. Anders was cited for Failure to control. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputies made contact with a male subject and served a protection order as instructed by the Fayette County Common Pleas Court. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a verbal argument reported on Cook Yankeetown Road between a male and female who lived at the residence. Neither party reported any physical altercation or threats of harm. UNRULY CHILD: A 14 year old male became disrespectful, argumentative and fled his home. The child was located at a relative s home and returned to the residence. The mother declined charges at the time of the report. The child was counseled concerning his behavior and the consequences should this behavior continue. WELFARE CHECK: The Staff of the Travel Centers of America had been contacted by Covenant Transport in an attempt to locate one of their vehicles and drivers. The driver had not been heard from since March 6 th and the vehicle GPS indicated it was on the Truckstops of America parking lot. The staff located the truck, however was unable to make contact with anyone in the vehicle. Entry was made into the vehicle. It was found to be empty. The company requested the vehicle be secured at Barkers Towing until they could make pick up. The company did make contact with the driver who was okay. BURGLARY/THEFT: John Boltenhouse, of Washington CH reported over the last two months person(s) unknown entered his residence and removed property without permission. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY: Staff of the Fayette Memorial Hospital ER reported that they were treating two subjects, both of Washington CH, who reported they had been held & given drugs against their will in Ross Co. Information was collected and submitted to the Ross Co. Sheriff s Office for their follow up TRAFFIC CRASH: Regina O Connor of Jeffersonville was traveling east on State St. O Connor Failed to observe a vehicle also traveling east operated by Amy Hart traveling at a slow speed striking the rear of Harts vehicle. No injuries were reported. O Connor was cited for Assured Clear Distance Ahead. FOUND PROPERTY: Tiffany Williamson, an employee of Tanger Mall, reported that a vehicle license plate had been found on the grounds of the Mall. The owner of the plate will be contacted to arrange for pick up of the item. JAIL INCIDENT: During the booking process in the Jail, Isaiah King, of Washington CH became uncooperative with the Jail Deputies due to his intoxicated state. While attempting to secure Mr. King he struggled with deputies and had to be physically restrained.

13 TRAFFIC CRASH: Amanda Sanderson of Washington CH was traveling west on Flakesford Rd. Sanderson stopped at the intersection of Creek Rd and proceeded into the intersection failing to observe Randall Jackson of Washington CH traveling south on Creek Rd causing Jackson to strike Sanderson s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Sanderson was cited for Failure to Yield TRAFFIC CRASH: Randal Casteel of Jeffersonville was traveling east on US 22 and lost control of his vehicle. Casteel traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Casteel was cited for Failure to Control. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: Cortney Stratton, of Washington CH reported she was east bound on Old US 35 near Eyman Rd. when she slowed for a herd of deer in the roadway. Tara Roll, of Kingston who was following Ms. Stratton was unable to stop in time to avoid Ms. Stratton s vehicle striking her in the left rear. Ms. Roll was cited for failure to maintain an Assured Clear Distance Ahead. HIT/SKIP CRASH: Employees of the Jeffersonville Speedway Gas Station reported person(s) unknown struck a fuel pump at the fuel island with a dark colored SUV. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Deputies were dispatched to a domestic complaint in the 800 block of Delaware Street. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that an assault had occurred. Devin Byrd of Washington C.H., Ohio was arrested in the incident. THEFT: An employee of Children s Place in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that 4 unknown females entered the store and concealed several items of clothing and departed the store without paying. TRAFFIC CRASH: Randal Scott of Washington CH was traveling east on US 22 and lost control of his vehicle. Scott traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Scott was cited for Failure to Control. POSSESSING DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS/ DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: A Sheriff s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within the Village of Jeffersonville. A positive indication was given by Sheriff s office K9 and drug abuse instrument and paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle. Billy Day of Washington CH was charged in the matter THEFT: An employee of the Jeffersonville Shell Station reported an unknown person pumped fuel into his motor vehicle and departed without payment. PROBATION VIOLATION: Deputies responded to a residence on US 62 North with Washington CH Municipal Court Probation Officers for a check of the residence. Shawn Bock, the Probationer was subsequently arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Heidi Hippen, of Washington CH reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Phillip Blackburn. Deputies observed injuries on Ms. Hippen. Upon attempting to contact Mr. Blackburn he fled the area. Blackburn was arrested on March 9, 2015 and additionally charged with abduction.

14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Hughey T. Rayburn of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling westbound on U S Rte 35 East near mile post 23 when Rayburn struck a coyote in the roadway. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. ASSAULT: Trevor Ratley of Cincinnati, Oh reports while at Tanger Outlets he was assaulted by a known subject. Parker Trurres of Columbus, Oh was arrested and charged with assault THEFT: Brandi L. Rhoades of Washington CH, Ohio reported a known person removed property from her residence without her consent. Dustin L. Pinkerton of Peebles, Ohio was charged in the offense. BURGLARY/THEFT: Ellen Miller, Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed property without permission. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Bradley Everhart reported person(s) unknown entered his deceased father s farm and removed numerous items without permission. TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian Tatham, Mt. Sterling reported he was north bound on IR-71 at the 75 mm when he lost control of the vehicle on the ice covered roadway. The vehicle and horse trailer being pulled traveled off the left side of the roadway into the median where it jack-knifed. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles E. Cadamy Jr. of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling westbound on Old U S Rte 35 near Jamison Road when Cadamy failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle on the ice covered roadway. Cadamy traveled left of center off the south side of the roadway, striking the speed limit sign before coming to final rest in the ditch. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported TRAFFIC CRASH: Martha Potter of Jeffersonville, Ohio parked her motor vehicle in a driveway on Leslie Trace and went inside the residence. Upon returning to her vehicle Potter discovered her vehicle had slipped out of gear and struck a parked car in the driveway owned by Anthony J. Eddlemon of Washington CH, Ohio. THEFT: Carol Penwell of Washington CH reports person(s) unknown removed a firearm from her residence. TRAFFIC CRASH: Michael L. Barrett of Bloomingburg, Ohio backed improperly from his driveway onto Lincoln Street when Barrett struck a southbound vehicle operated by Kevin Hellenthal of Washington CH, Ohio. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. Barrett was cited improper backing. UNRULY JUVENILE: A deputy responded to a Prairie Road address on an unruly 17 year old female. The matter was resolved with the deputy s assistance. ASSAULT: A sheriff s deputy was requested at the Fayette Memorial Hospital to investigate an alleged assault. The victim refused to cooperate at the time of the report.

15 CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Sonya E. White of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported sometime overnight persons unknown slashed the tires on her motor vehicle. UNRULY JUVENILE: Deputies responded to Delaware Street on a complaint of two unruly juveniles. The 9 and 11 year olds had departed the residence and were located by deputies and returned to the residence. Both were counseled on their behavior. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a complaint of a verbal dispute in Jeffersonville, Ohio. Both the male and female reported no threats of any kind. THEFT: Mahala J. Ergle of Washington CH, Ohio reported a known person had taken funds from her account THEFT: An employee at Craig s Sporting Goods reports a male subject entered the business and possibly departed with items without paying. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Delaware St on a domestic complaint. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. TRAFFIC CRASH: Randy L. Park of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling westbound in the alley behind 69 Main Street, Bloomingburg when Park s vehicle traveled off of the north side the roadway causing minor sod damage. THEFT: Ecequiel L. Lopez of New Holland, Ohio reported he purchased a vehicle through Craigslist and has never received the vehicle TRAFFIC CRASH: Kent Taylor of Washington CH, Ohio was traveling westbound on U S Rte 22 West when Taylor failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead striking a stopped westbound vehicle operated by Christopher McCormick of Sabina, Ohio. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage. No injuries were reported. Taylor was cited for ACDA. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Julia Stoy of Washington CH, Ohio reported she has received numerous unwanted telephone calls from a known person. DRUG POSSESSION: An employee of Bob Evans in Jeffersonville reported he recovered an illegal drug from one of his employee s. FOUND PROPERTY: Rebekah Markley of South Solon reported person(s) unknown lost their license plate on the lot of the High school. Contact was made with the owner and the license plate was returned. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Carmen Uhl of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown caused damage to the front windshield of her vehicle using a brick. TRAFFIC CRASH: Helen Adams of Greenfield was traveling north on S.R 41 and lost control of her vehicle. Adams traveled left of center off the left side of the roadway striking a traffic sign post. No injuries were reported. Adams was cited for Failure to Control.

16 BURGLARY / THEFT: James Luke, of Sabina reported over the last several months person(s) unknown removed property from his rental property in the village of Milledgeville. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff Deputies responded to a reported one vehicle crash on US 62 near Rowe Ging Rd. Upon arriving the Deputies determined that the vehicle operated by Brandon Runk, Washington CH, failed to negotiate a left hand curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch where he struck a Dayton Power & Light utility pole, breaking the pole. Mr. Runk sustained serious injury and was transported by EMS to Fayette Memorial Hospital. Mr. Runk s vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Runk was cited for Failure to Control. UNRULY CHILD: Deputies responded to a Bloomingburg residence on reports of a 15 year old female who was being disrespectful and insubordinate in the home. The child was counseled concerning appropriate behavior. The father declined charges at the time of the report. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff s Deputies responded to Colonial Drive on a reported domestic violence incident. Upon arrival contact was made with both parties who denied any physical altercation or threats. THEFT: Jackie Morris, of Washington CH reported a known subject removed her clothing from the residence. BREAKING & ENTERING / THEFT: Bradley Everhart, of Greenfield reported person(s) unknown entered his deceased fathers property and removed items belonging to the estate and himself. FIRE: Jeff Hughes, of Washington CH reported a fire in a neighbor s barn. Washington Fire Department responded an extinguished the fire. Minimal damage was sustained to the structure, which is owned by Cathy Lindsey, Washington CH.
