Ring Lost!...Ring Found!...(both responses from club website guestbook post) I am very grateful and honored to meet Ken Cochran. This was just a blessing. I thought this was gone forever. I remember purchasing this ring in 1999, had it only for a couple of months and it became missing since then. 14 years later to see my ring and the memories just bring a warmth and comfort feeling. I am so very thankful and grateful for Ken and the club and what you do. The ring still looks brand new and in GREAT condition. I just can not believe it. WOW this is so AWESOME and a blessing... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, KEN!!!! Talo D. Mark Jenkins & Ken Cochran found my wedding ring & I m really grateful! I can t thank them enough as the ring was made by my sister who is a jeweler & makes everything by hand with engraving. Ken was so generous & nice about going to the site & taking his time to talk with me about the description of the area & ring. Thank You as well Mark. Ken told me how you ended up discovering it. Best Regards, Gary Talcott Detecting on Public Land...Mark J. & others are putting together a pamphlet on public sites that do not allow metal detecting. When in doubt check with city, county, state or other inter-governmental websites for current regulations as there could be serious consequences both for you & the hobby in general. Washington State Parks website is still in progress identifying allowable metal detecting sites. New in the Newsletter...A list of all the valuable key date U.S. coins one would like to find or acquire. Any topics of interest are gladly welcomed. Membership Dues...($25.00 single, $30.00 family) must be paid before Nov. 1, 2013 to be eligible to enter November 2013 Find of the Month & other raffles. New Activity Fees for Non-members...continuing in 2013 $15.00 for a club activity & $12.00 for hunt only. Bring in Food Bank Donations...food is needed all year long at local food banks. It is suggested that each member bring at least one can of food to the meeting. Thane Bennett was the lucky winner of $ in the Jug of Hope Contest. October s AOK Award was won by Ken Cochran for helping find Talo D s & Gary Talbot s lost rings (see Rings Lost & Rings Found). 14 years later to see my ring & the memories just bring a warmth & comfort feeling Talo D. October s No-No Award was given to Thane Bennett for almost deciding not to go to the Sunday club meeting.

3 The Club Plaque Contest...The club plaque is a unique piece of metal buried some where in King County & a clue to its location is given monthly until found. A prize of $20.00 will be awarded.
