"APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS" Hello To Everyone, The Friday, April 5, 2013 General Meeting of Conifer Newcomers and Neighbors will be the last regular meeting of the season. Remember there is NO June 2013 meeting. The season will culminate with The Spring Luncheon on May 3, Details of the Spring Luncheon are included in this Newsletter. On Friday, April 5, 2013 at the General Meeting, membership will vote on the nominees for the new Executive Board. The newly elected will then be installed at the Spring Luncheon. Program Chair Caroline Harrison will have another great Program for us to enjoy. The meeting will continue with regular CN&N Business, announcements from Special Interest groups, and end with Members Bulletin Board. I hope to see you at the meeting. Stop and say Hi. Our guidelines prohibit speakers from businesses who want to promote their businesses. We also discourage speakers on political or controversial topics. If members have something to offer, they should feel free to nominate themselves, but to please include information on their topic. Suggestions will be accepted through March 27 Please have your Group pictures to me no later than April 1st. You can either bring them to the April meeting, me the pictures or mail them to me at P. You do not have to drink wine to enjoy socializing with fellow CN&N members non-alcoholic beverages are also provided. The April Wine Tasting will be at the home of Shirley and Dave Hamer on Saturday, April 6. May is a Kentucky Derby Party at Mary and Tom Sosnowski's home on Saturday May 4-3:30 PM; Fancy hats and string ties. Sign-up sheets for both wine tastings will be at the wine tastings and CN&N meetings or you may contact Susan directly. We will ride the bike trails in the Denver Metro area on Mondays when the weather is suitable. We usually ride between 15 and 20 miles with a stop for lunch in between! Contact Randi if you would like to ride. Meets on Tuesdays, depending on ski conditions! We continue to ski every Tuesday at Winter Park or Copper Mountain. Sunday s provide meeting times (7:30 AM to 9:00 AM), meeting locations (trailhead and/or carpool site), and a brief description of each hike. Beautiful vistas and seasonal wildflowers are parts of each hike. Four day trips in the summer or fall to places like Steamboat, Ouray, or Winter Park are wonderful get aways and opportunities to further develop friendships.
