1 Social Time 9:00 Meeting starts at 9: March 2016 Welcoming new members to the Greater 285 Corridor through social & civic activities There are no strangers here, only friends who haven t met. President's Message The Members Have Spoken Sounds to me like I missed a very productive general meeting. A huge thank you to Barb Jolley for taking over while I strolled the frozen tundra of NYC knowing Colorado temps were more mild. Who woulda thunk?? The refreshments for the Jan. meeting will be provided by members on the roster with names between and including Jodi Hummel - Marilyn Nienhuis Greeters will be represented by members of the Group Please check in with Ellen at 8:45. The Boutique grants having been meeting member approved, all checks have now been sent to the recipients as presented by Randi Brattin. With a date now set for November 2016, let's commit as a membership to raising even more money for distribution this year. Snack provisions will continue with a rotating alphabet (watch the newsletter for that monthly announcement) and our dues will remain at $20.00 for all newcomers throughout the year, and for renewals completed by the end of the October meeting. After that meeting, renewals will be $ It's easy to forget (spoken firsthand), so if you want to save yourself some money, get your dues in early! Otherwise, thank you- we can always use the extra money! Thanks go out to our treasurer, Charlene Han, for preparing and presenting a midyear report in order to keep our members aware of where our monies go. Per your vote, the payment for both our existing storage area in King's Valley and our insurance will revert to the Boutique. Let Char know if there should be any other questions. Thank you to Bobbi for taking minutes in Joanne's absence, and for forwarding them to me. Great job. So many wonderful women always ready to step up when called upon... And so we continue our speaker program with our rescheduled presentation on our schools by the Conifer Historical Society. Donna Long Beck will display an ancient metate found on the Long property, and the event is open for displays of any local Native American artifacts from members. Vernon Country Club Tickets will go on sale at the March meeting - $15 for members & $20 for non-members. Non-members may purchase tickets at the April meeting. The menu will consist of a choice of one of three luncheon entrees: 1. Sautéed Boneless Chicken Breast Marsala accompanied by a tossed salad, pasta, seasonal vegetables, rolls, coffee, tea and iced tea. 2. Orange vodka salmon with rice pilaf accompanied by a tossed salad, seasonal vegetables, rolls, coffee, tea and iced tea. 3. Vegetarian which will encompass vegan, gluten free and vegetarian. (Menu to be announced) Dessert will be an apple almond tart.

Attendees are asked to bring either an appetizer or a dessert to share. Cost is $10.00 per person. You do not have to drink wine to enjoy socializing with fellow CN&N members nonalcoholic beverages are also provided. The March Wine Tasting will be at the home of Shauna and Jim Carder on Saturday, March 5, at 6:30 PM. The April Wine Tasting will be "down the hill" at the home of Jeanie and Jesse Young in Lakewood on Saturday, April 2, at 6:30 PM. Sign-up sheets for wine tastings will be at the wine tastings or you may contact Susan directly by phone or (above).
