2 SATURDAY DEPART FRIDAY (FLIGHT DETAILS PENDING) [06:10] Flight Lands - Study Tours Brisbane team welcomes you at the Brisbane Airport. [08:30] Welcome Breakfast & Orientation Group arrives at accommodation Comfort Inn & Suites Robertson Gardens for check-in, tour and familiarisation of the property, and a full hot and cold buffet breakfast. Breakfast is served fresh every morning by the Robertson Gardens chefs. Guests are also welcome to make the most of the outdoor gym equipment, pool, and sprawling grounds of the hotel during their stay. Depart this morning by 9:30am. [10:00] Rocklea Organic Store [11:30-13:00] Durack Aged Care Facilities Tour of the Durack nursing home and retirement village facilities available to the aging local population. The property is set within 34 hectares of natural bushland and lush gardens. Tour participants are asked to bring a gift for residents who don t receive visitors. By 1:00pm, the group is transferred to lunch at Oxley Tavern. Tour of the Rocklea Organic Shop to see freshly made produce and many organic food items that are pre-prepared, as well as cosmetic and pharmaceutical items. The group has the opportunity to purchase their own supplies while investigating the merchandise available, including organically grown fruit and vegetables. Being a wholesale division, customers are offered great bulk buy prices with over 6000 products available.

3 SATURDAY [15:00-17:30] Institute of Sports and Spines Workshop (CERTIFICATE COURSE) By 3:00pm the group arrives at the Institute of Sports & Spines for a Certificate Workshop covering rehabilitation and physical training. Includes mobility advice for patients with post fracture falls, balance retraining due to lack of confidence and/or falls, and discusses those with a desire to stay fit and healthy. Also covers topics such as injury management, joint degeneration treatment, and general advice and management in regards to aging patients. Certificate supplied upon completion of the course. [18:00] Traditional Aussie BBQ Dinner Back at the hotel by 6:00pm with a chance to rest, relax and unpack, the group is then treated to a delicious traditional Aussie BBQ dinner by the pool at 7:00pm. Prepared fresh by the Robertson Gardens hotel chefs, many food options are available tonight including steak, prawns, mushrooms, rice, salad, sausages and fruit.

4 SUNDAY [06:30] Full Hot & Cold Buffet Breakfast in the Robertson Gardens restaurant. [09:30-12:30] Paradise Country After breakfast, the coach transfers the group to Paradise Country on the Gold Coast. Here they ll see a range of native Australian wildlife and traditional Australiana shows, exhibits and displays. Includes an authentic sheep shearing shed, stockmen and dogs working together to round up a flock of sheep, and many more first-hand experiences showing off the action of the Australian Outback. Also included for each participant is their very own photo holding a koala. [13:30-15:30] Health Food Workshop (CERTIFICATE COURSE) Arriving back at Robertson Gardens, the group is treated to a healthy lunch as part of a Health Food Workshop with Christine Houghton, Chief Scientific Officer of Cell Logic Pty Ltd. The workshop focuses on nutrigenomics, function foods, and nutraceuticals, including the blending of specialised smoothies and the creation of taste testings. Certificate awarded upon completion of the course. [16:30] Wine Blending Workshop [18:30] South Bank & Kangaroo Point Cliffs Next the group arrives at Brisbane s popular cultural district, South Bank, for dinner by the parklands. Afterwards, they take a ride on the City Hopper ferry and are then taken to Kangaroo Point Cliffs for some amazing photo opportunities overlooking the Brisbane River at night. This afternoon the group is escorted to Gerler Wines. Participants work with winemaker Dave Vush to learn the art of blending a bottle of wine. They are provided with various samples and taught how each of the various winemaking styles and treatment of grapes result in different products. On completion, guests take home a bottle of their own blend, labelled, as a person gift.

5 MONDAY [06:00] Full Hot & Cold Buffet Breakfast in the Robertson Gardens restaurant. [08:00-10:00] Meal Support Company Tour [10:30-11:30] Chemist Warehouse For the chance to peruse and purchase a range of local pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, next is a tour of the Chemist Warehouse. The company is Australia's largest pharmacy retailer and employs over 8,000 staff, while offering discounted prices for pharmaceutical goods. The group will be given an hour to explore the store and shop at their own interest and leisure. [12:00-13:30] Blue Care Coopers Plains First off today the group visits a meal support company, designed to support those with shopping or cooking restrictions. Here they ll discuss the p r o ce s s o f f o o d d i s t r i b u t i o n, preparation, compliance and policies with National Service Standards and the Nutritional Advice Food Safety Project. The tour is a great opportunity for observation in the field, with the potential for group participants to assist with some food preparation. Next is a tour of Blue Care in the nearby suburb of Cooper Plains. As one of Queensland s largest aged care providers, they provide a range of services to support people in their homes, in local community centres, aged care residences and in retirement villages. Possible presentations may cover topics such as dementia and respite. Here the group will enjoy a packed lunch before departing.

6 MONDAY [14:00-15:00] Aidacare Tour After lunch, another educational and insightful experience is the trip to Aidacare. With a focus on the physical equipment required to assist the elderly, Aidacare is a leading provider of healthcare equipment and assistive technology for hospitals, residential facilities, home & community care and rehabilitation. Aidacare has a strong team of consultants, engineers and technicians working closely with health professionals to bring to reality assistive equipment solutions that help improve quality of life for the aged and disabled. [16:00-17:00] Elite Health Care Australia Following up on an informational tour of Aidacare, the group next visits Elite Health Care Australia in the Brisbane suburb of Waterford. With representatives Raymond and Lisa, an informational seminar from Elite Health Care Australia offers practical insights into caring for the elderly, and covers topics such as dementia and how to improve existing aged care services. [18:30] Informational Dinner Back at Robertson Gardens, the group has a chance to refresh themselves after a busy day before dinner at 6:30pm, prepared fresh by the Robertson Gardens chefs. During dinner, a number of local representatives of the Brisbane aged care industry are invited to offer insight into their personal aged care experiences. Depending on the guests available, potential topics covered also include organic Australian nutritional products.

7 TUESDAY [06:00] Full Hot & Cold Buffet Breakfast in the Robertson Gardens restaurant. [09:00-12:00] Flavour Creations First off today is a visit to Flavour Creations, a Brisbane-based specialist food and drink manufacturer that researches and develops innovative dysphagia and nutrition products intended to support a healthy lifestyle. They supply their products to hospitals, residential aged care facilities, and directly to consumers living in the community. Following an informational seminar, the group will be invited on a guided tour of their manufacturing facilities to see and understand the processes first-hand. [13:00-17:00] Aged Care Training (CERTIFICATE COURSE) [18:00] Live Life Alarms Educational Talk & Dinner Back at the hotel by 6:00pm, the group has a chance to freshen up before dinner. Dinner is served in the restaurant at 7:00pm, and is accompanied by an educational talk from a Live Life representative. The talk focuses on the Live Life Alarm system, and includes presentation of some demonstration units to gain first-hand understanding of how the personal emergency devices are used and managed in Australia. After a packed lunch, the group is transferred to the Australian Institute of Business and Technology for a training workshop in Aged Care. The training covers an overview of the Queensland Health Training Systems and Operational Techniques, as well as the requirements for aged care workers and insight into the qualifications covering individual support, aging support, and community services. Certificate provided upon completion of the course materials.

8 WEDNESDAY [06:00] Full Hot & Cold Buffet Breakfast in the Robertson Gardens restaurant. [07:00-10:30] Gold Coast Tour & Pacific Coconut Products [11:00-15:00] Thursday Plantation Next the group travels to Thursday Plantation at Ballina. Here they ll gain an understanding of the Tea Tree products in use for treatment of staph infections, as well as see a huge range of other natural products intended for health and wellbeing purposes. Participants are invited to explore the lush grounds, including the tea tree maze, and will purchase their own lunch today before departing at 3:00pm. [16:00-22:00] Health Food Store & Surfers Paradise Dinner After breakfast the coach departs for the Gold Coast, stopping along the way at Coombabah to see kangaroos in the wild, and then stopping at the Spit for views and photos over Surfers Paradise. The group continues on to Pacific Coconut Products at Robina for an informational product seminar and demonstration from Nature Pacific. Nature Pacific is a joint Australian-Fiji company specialising in the development of organically grown Virgin Coconut Oil and other traditional Island products. On the way to Surfers Paradise for dinner, the group stops at Mrs. Flannery s Health Food Store for a chance to purchase any souvenirs or products to take home. Then continuing to Surfers Paradise, the group is offered some time for beach activities and shopping along Cavill Avenue Mall before being transferred to dinner at a renowned Thai restaurant. After dinner, the group arrives back at the hotel by no later than 10:00pm to pack and prepare for departure.

9 THURSDAY [08:00] Buffet Breakfast served in the Robertson Gardens restaurant. [08:30] Food Connect, Brisbane CBD & City Hall, and DFO (flight dependent) The group checks out of Robertson Gardens after breakfast, followed by a trip to Food Connect at Salisbury to purchase any last goods. Then, if time permits before their departing flight, they travel to Brisbane CBD for a guided tour of Brisbane City Hall and the inner city district. They may also have the chance to visit DFO (Direct Factory Outlet) for any last minute souvenir shopping before departing for home.
