3 NBN Co s Construction Group is tasked with building Australia s new broadband network NBN Co Construction Group Planned Key Features: Fibre to the Premise FTTP: (100Mbps) to 93% of premises Satellite and wireless (12 Mbps) to the remaining 7% Roll-out over approximately 9 years 10 million + points of connection Some 6,000 points of connection per day Direct construction workforce of between 15k to 20k FTEs at the peak of construction

9 Construction projects are typically managed under a structured, static model that implicitly assumes discrete deliverables with defined start & end dates Traditional Construction Approach Strategy Plan Design Build Operate Maintain/ Service Define what needs to be done what asset needs to be built Develop a plan to deliver the asset Draw up the detailed design Commission the asset build Operate the asset Maintain / service the asset NBN is different As part of the NBN roll-out we are planning multiple projects of a like nature over a substantial period of time There is significant scope to leverage learnings and drive improvements as we go We have a unique opportunity to evolve / define construction delivery characteristics

16 Ensuring community and stakeholder engagement is key to our operating model Some of the things that we are doing Creating a safe workplace for all employees and suppliers Targeted and continuous community involvement throughout the construction of the new network Making sure that suppliers are engaged as partners and are a key component of our community engagement process Ensuring ongoing grass-roots representation through a dedicated community and construction executive role within NBN Co Construction group Having a fully transparent engagement model at all stakeholder levels Community satisfaction is a key success factor for construction roll-out
