According to Grant Thornton Vietnam survey, Vietnam is the second most attractive destination of choice in SEA, following Myanmar, based on its human resources, low labour costs and the strong growth in its middle class. Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) market ended 2016 on a high note and still maintains the strong growth in the first quarter of 2017, with 9.8% increase against the same period last year. The following key market highlights promise bright prospects for Vietnamese packaging and processing industries 38% increase of demand for food packaging in Vietnam. It is forecasted to expand to million tons in the period 10% stable growth of packaging printing market that serves the processing industry for many years 109 billion litres of beverage consumption to be reached by 2020, accounted for 6% of annual growth rate.
