2 AU NOV 10 AUSTRALIA APT DIR CLASS D PROCEDURES CTAF PROCEDURES The following procedures will apply to Parafield outside the hours of Parafield Tower for aircraft departing for or arriving from Adelaide CTA/CTR: a. Rwys available: Rwy 03L/21R (continuous); Rwy 08R/26L (sunrise-sunset only). b. Preferred rwy is Rwy 03L/21R. c. Right hand circuits Rwy 08R/21R. d. Rwys not available: Rwy 08L/26R & 03R/21L. e. Aircraft departing Parafield for flight in Class C airspace must contact Adelaide Approach on on taxi for transponder code, and request airways clearance at the holding point. f. Aircraft departing into the vicinity of EDN outside Twr hours shall track via Bolivar Strobe light. Caution: Bolivar strobe light is in close proximity to the western EDN Circuit. g. Aircraft arriving from the vicinity of EDN CTR outside EDN Twr hrs shall track EDN - PF. h. IFR aircraft arriving shall cancel SARWATCH with Adelaide Approach on after landing. i. A maximum of 5 acft are permitted in the circuit at any one time outside Twr hours. OPERATING ALTITUDES Circuit 1,000 fixed acft; 800 helicopters Departure 1,000 except when departing to E into Class G airspace & then climb above 1,000 due to terrain when clear of traffic & established E of Parafield Aerodrome. Entry 1,500'; maintain altitude until in receipt of an ATC sequencing instruction or ATC authorization for visual approach; Overfly 1,500'; Upwind 1,500'. ARRIVALS Unless otherwise specified by ATC: a. Acft arriving from the NW via D213 shall track via Outer Harbor (OHB) and S of Bolivar strobe light. b. Acft arriving from the NE via Class G airspace should track via WRR and shall track via DMW. Acft should remain clear of the SUB - SPR track to avoid departing acft. CAUTION: W of DMW, acft may be departing via the SUB. c. Acft arriving from the vicinity of EDN CTR outside EDN Twr hrs shall track EDN - PF. DEPARTURES a. Airways Clearance shall be obtained from Parafield Ground for: 1) VFR sunset-sunrise and IFR flights into adjacent Class C and Military Restricted Area R265A; 2) VFR flights into AD CTR or terminating in EDN CTR. b. Flights intending to enter the adjacent AD CTR, R265A or Class C airspace via SUB or SKI must obtain an SSR code from Parafield Ground on Airways Clearance shall be obtained from Adelaide Approach at SUB or SKI. c. Pilots not intending to enter CTA on departure (excluding training area ops) shall include OCTA with the ready call. d. Pilots intending to operate in the training areas shall nominate the training are and advise duel or solo: 1) D220/D280: READY FOR WESTERN TRAINING AREA (DUAL or SOLO) ; 2) Gawler Training Area: READY FOR GAWLER TRAINING AREA (DUAL or SOLO). e. CAUTION: acft departing to E, acft may be arriving via the DMW. Departure Routes: a. Acft departing to E into Class G airspace shall track via the Sub Station (SUB) and then should track via South Para Reservoir (SPR). Acft should remain clear of the WRR - DMW track to avoid arriving acft. b. Acft departing to NE via D213 shall track via St Kilda (SKI) S of Bolivar strobe light. c. Acft departing into the vicinity of EDN outside EDN Twr hrs shall track via Bolivar strobe light. CAUTION: Bolivar stobe light is in close proximity to the western EDN circuit. CIRCUIT PROCEDURES When number one at the holding point, pilots must report READY FOR CIRCUITS (DUAL or SOLO). Report turning downwind with intentions. Unless otherwise instructed by ATC, a pilot must report Downwind when starting or entering the downwind lef of the traffic circuit. If freq congestion prevents the call being made when starting the downwind leg, the pilot must report Mid-Downwind or Late-Downwind as appropriate. Full stop landing followed by further circuits: pilots shall advise ATC (with the downwind full stop call) intention to conduct further circuits. ATC will consider nominating an alternative rwy when the crosswind on Rwy 03/21 exceeds 10 kts. Asymmetric training in multi-engine aircraft is available only on Rwy 03/21. Simulated engine failure in single engine aircraft after take-off is not permitted.

3 HELICOPTER OPERATIONS AUSTRALIA APT DIR 26 NOV 10 AU-35 ARRIVALS / DEPARTURES Fixed wing departures & entry to CTR procedures, circuit altitude and directions apply. Pilots shall nominate the HLS to be used on initial contact with Tower or Ground Control. Pilots shall advise completion of operations on Tower frequency when vacating the western HLS. COMMUNICATION FAILURE a. Carry out Communication Failure procedures in an emergency. b. Track via the appropriate VFR approach point. c. Enter Parafield CTR at 1500 and track to overhead the apt at that altitude. d. Ascertain landing direction and join the appropriate circuit for the rwy selected. e. The preferred rwy for landing should be: the rwy nominated in the joining sequencing instruction or the arrival/departure rwy nominated on the ATIS (subject to direction of arrival). f. When ready, descend to circuit altitude remaining clear of the other circuit. g. Maintain separation from other acft. h. Proceed with normal circuit and landing. i. Watch for light signals from the Twr. NOISE ABATEMENT TRAINING OPERATIONS Circuit training is permitted only between the following hours (UTC): Mon-Fri ( daylight saving time) Sat ( daylight saving time) Sun ( daylight saving time) Outside Twr hrs, the preferred runway is Rwy 03L/21R. 5 AU NOV 10 AUSTRALIA APT DIR Local Traffic Regulations For acft taxi for Rwy 22R, a clearance to cross Rwy 22L via Twys F1, G1 or H1 not available. Acft must taxi via alternative route. During Twr hours, a turn in a direction contrary to the circuit for the departure Rwy will not be approved for single engine VFR acft unless Rwy operationally required. Tail-skid equipped acft using Rwy 10R/28L are to limit ops to Southern 6m of strip abutting sealed central 18m for takeoff/landing. East section of TWy B6 between W IWI and Twy B not available. Pilots are advised to minimize engine running adjacent to terminal parking. Acft taxiing to Rwy 28R via Twy A10 during Twr hrs, must hold at the holding point and obtain clearance from Twr before proceedings. Acft to taxi only via sealed twy or naturla surface twy marked by yellow cones. Non-radio equipped vehicles operating on Twy A. Structures within Twy strips Delta, Hotel & Juliet infringe strip by 5M max. Rwy 10/28 is the preferred rwy up to a crosswind maximum of 10kts. When a rwy is not available, ATC will nominate parallel rwys in preference to single rwy ops provided mean crosswind is not greater than 12kts. Unless otherwise instructed by ATC, a pilot must report Downwind when starting or entering the downwind leg of the traffic circuit. If freq congestion prevents the call being made when starting the downwind leg, the pilot must report Mid-Downwind or Late-Downwind as appropriate. DEPARTURES Transponder Procedures All IFR aircraft departing Archerfield or VFR ACFT entering control area, contact Brisbane Radar for discrete transponder code immediately prior to taxi. VFR aircraft intending to transit the Amberley Control Zone either contact Amberley App on prior to departure, or Amberley Airways Clnc Del (134.6) crossing the Centenary Hwy, for a discrete transponder code. Departure altitude from the Archerfiled CTR must not be above 1,000. Tracking requirements: a. DEP North - depart via Indooroopilly Bridge b. DEP East - depart E to overhead Gateway Motorway/Pacific Motorway intersection. Note: Departing E not available when Rwy 22 active, except for acft requiring clearance into Class C airspace. c. DEP South - track 135 degrees from Archerfiled (Departures Rwy 28L shall track 135 from the crosswind leg to facilitate the descent of arrivals joining base from PKR). d. DEP West - depart west remaining clear of parallel circuit. When duty Rwy 10, acft must depart the Archerfield CTR by extending the Downwind leg of the circuit. Acft must not track across final. (Any other departure track eg. overhead R633A (Greenbank) or South-West, must be approved by the Twr). e. With the ready call advise For departure (direction). VFR Clearance Procedures for intended entry into CTA and transit of Amberley Airspace: Departures for entry and ops within the Brisbane CTR. a. Fixed wing acft: unless otherwise advised by ATC, depart via DEP North, remain in Class G airspace to the west of the BN CTR. Contact Brisbane Radar abeam TV towers for further instruction. b. Rotary wing acft: unless otherwise advised by ATC, depart the AF CTR via St Lucia University, remain in Class G airspace and contact Brisbane Radar at St Lucia University for further instruction. Departure track between 310 & 019 degrees MAG: depart via DEP North ; remain in Class G airspace and W of Brisbane CTR. Contact Brisbane Radar abeam TV towers for further instructions. Departure track between 020 & 099 degrees MAG: depart via DEP East ; remain in Class G airspace and S of the Brisbane CTR, contact Brisbane Radar at Tingalpa Reservoir for further instructions. Departure track between 100 & 204 degrees MAG: depart via DEP South ; remain in Class G airspace, contact Brisbane Radar at 8NM AF for further instructions. Departure track between 205 & 309 degrees MAG (AMB CTR not active): depart via DEP West, remain in Class G airspace and contact Brisbane Radar crossing the Centenary Hwy for further instructions. Departure track between 205 & 309 degrees MAG (AMB CTR active): a. Between 205 & 259 degrees MAG depart via DEP West, contact Amberley ACD crossing the Centenary Hwy for airways clearance. If clearance not immediately available continue tracking to Springs Mountain, remain in Class G airspace (IFR and VFR flights assigned discreet SSR code contact Amberley App 126.2). b. Between 260 & 309 degrees MAG depart via DEP West, contact Amberley ACD crossing the Centenary Hwy for airways clearance. If clearance not immediately available continue tracking to Lake Manchester, remain in Class G airspace (IFR and VFR flights assigned discreet SSR code contact Amberley App 126.2).

6 AUSTRALIA APT DIR 26 NOV 10 AU-65 ARRIVALS Entry into the Archerfield CTR shall be at 1,500. Routes: a. Designated inbound reporting points are abeam TV towers (NNW), Goodna (WSW), Park Ridge Water Tower (SSE) and Target (E). Note 1: Caution: Restricted Area R633 ( AMSL - Army live firing) immediately W of interstate railway line. Note 2: Goodna and Target reporting points are south of extended centerlines Rwy 10/28. b. Acft arriving from abeam TV towers must also report abeam Centenary Bridge. c. Acft arriving from Park Ridge Water Towers must also report crossing the Logan Motorway. IFR Arrivals/Departures: acft intending to depart/arrive at Archerfield retaining IFR may experience delays due to higher priority ops at Brisbane. HELICOPTER OPERATIONS a. Taxi call required for all VFR helicopter operations on b. Helicopter Landing Site SOUTH no longer in use. c. Low level helicopter training is not permitted outside Twr hours. d. Helicopter landing area departures & arrivals must be parallel to and clear of the duty rwy unless otherwise specified by ATC. e. With ATC approval and maintaining continuous radio watch, helicopters circuits are permitted in the following areas: AREA A - N of Twy B within the confines of the apt up to 500, clear of buildings, circuit direction and frequency as per ATIS. AREA B - N & W of Rwy 04L within the confines of the apt up to 500, clear of buildings, circuit direction & frequency as per ATIS. ATC will not positively control these take-offs and landings, or provide sequencing instructions. Initial traffic information only will be provided on other helicopters conducting circuits. Approved for circuits and hovering only. Other low flying ops not permitted. f. Helicopters must not start up and / or taxi on the northern taxiway fingers off of Twy K. They are to be wheeled to and from the north pad on arrival or for departure. g. All helicopter trolleys / fuel trailers are to be parked clear of taxiways. h. Queensland Rescue helipad is not available to non Queensland Rescue helicopters. i. Helicopters are not permitted to ground run on helipads or in helicopter parking areas. Sealed pad TANGO at the intersection of taxiways B and E is available for ground running. Communication Failure (during Twr hrs) a. Carry out general communication failure procedures in an emergency. b. Track via appropriate inbound reporting point. c. Enter AF CTR at 1,500 and proceed to overhead the apt at that altitude. d. Ascertain rwy(s) in use.. For Rwy 10/28, join the southern circuit for landing Rwys 10R or 28L. For Rwy 04/22, join the eastern circuit for landing Rwys 04R or 22L. e. When ready, descend to circuit altitude remaining clear of the other circuit. f. Maintain separation from other acft. g. Proceed with normal circuit and landing. h. Watch for light signals from the Twr. Outside Twr hrs: a. All circuit direction left hand. b. Rwys available: Rwy 04R/22L (sunrise-sunset), Rwy 10L/28R (continuous). c. Rwys not available: Rwy 04L/22R & Rwy 10R/28L. d. Pilots requiring airways clearance on departure are to contact BN Radar PRI or phone SEC, immediately prior to engine start for an expect clearance time and discrete transponder code. NOISE ABATEMENT When the aerodrome is uncontrolled and operational conditions permit, runway 28L/R must be used for take-off.

Depart to the W and NW track via Murdock University to Fremantle Golf Course. When established over the Murdoch University open space, climb from 1,000 and reach 1,500 by the W boundary of the University. When Rwy 12 is duty rwy, depart by extending the downwind leg until clear of base and final traffic, then track via Murdoch University open space to FREM. Note: Caution - inbound traffic to the S on the Powerhouse to Adventure World track. b. Depart to the S via Yangebup Lake to Lake Thompson. When Rwy 12 is duty rwy depart to SE and SW by extending the right crosswind leg then track clear of FDL and the inbound route. c. Depart to the E via Armadale. When Rwy 30 is duty rwy, depart via a right circuit by extending the right downwind leg then track clear of final Rwy 30. Note: Remaim clear of Perth CTA and Forrestdale Lake. d. Acft departing via YGB and ARE should climb to an altitude above 1,500 as soon as practical upon leaving Jandakot CTR and entering Class G airspace. During night, all departing acft may plan to track via preferred route at an altitude of 1,500. Acft should consider alternative departure tracks if LSALT above 1,500. HELICOPTER OPERATIONS DEPARTURES / ARRIVALS Unless otherwise approved by ATC, all helicopters leaving or entering the Jandakot CTR shall comply with Class D procedures. Pilots shall nominate the helicopter landing site (HLS) they wish to use on initial contact with Jandakot Tower. HLS departures and arrivals shall be parallel to the duty runway unless otherwise specified by ATC. Practice auto-rotative landings are not permitted on HLS. Pilots must advise of the intention to conduct circuit training ops with the taxi or inbound call.

14 AUSTRALIA APT DIR 26 NOV 10 AU-211 HELICOPTER TRAINING A helicopter training area has been established on the aerodrome within the area bounded by the Rwy 06R/ 24L, taxiway S and the airport boundary road. Training may be conducted out to the southeastern airport boundary subject to ATC approval. Helicopters proceeding to/from the training area are to obtain clearance to cross Rwy 06L/24R (when active) from Jandakot Tower (119.4 MHz). An auto-rotative landing area is identified by an asphalt aiming marker. Unless otherwise specified by ATC, the following conditions are applicable while operating in the training area: a. All operations shall be at least 100m from the runways and at least 50m from the windsock/ anemometer; b. All operations shall be limited to not above 200' AGL; c. Slope landing training may be conducted in the grassed drain on the southwest side of the training area subject to ATC clearance. Training Circuits Circuits may be conducted from the training area subject to the following conditions: a. Circuit altitude shall be 800'; b. Circuits parallel to Rwy 24L or Rwy 12 shall be LEFT HAND; c. Circuits parallel to Rwy 06R or Rwy 30 shall be RIGHT HAND; d. Circuit size shall be such that all legs are flown inside the corresponding fixed wing circuit. A continuous lookout for fixed wing traffic shall be maintained at all times. Once established on the appropriate Tower frequency, the only communication required is a "BECOMING AIR- BORNE" call prior to each circuit. ATC will not positively control take-off or landing or provide sequencing instructions. Initial traffic information will be provided in respect to other helicopters conducting circuits.
