3 FAC YPJT - 3 FLIGHT PROCEDURES Wake turbulence encounters may occur in the Jandakot Control Zone, mainly in the NE quadrant, due to ACFT over flying in controlled airspace. Delays may occur due Super Wake Turbulence category ACFT operating above or near YPJT CTR. 1. LOCAL PROCEDURES a. When FREQ congestion or failure does not allow ACFT to obtain FREQ transfer instructions from PH ATC or JT TWR and the ACFT has been assigned 1,500FT (HJ), or 1,700FT (HN), ACFT should contact Jandakot TWR on at 3NM Jandakot. b. Instrument approach procedures are not AVBL for training purposes. c. After LDG, on first contact with Jandakot Ground (SMC), pilots should notify TAXI for Southern, Central or Northern Apron or other area as required. 2. CIRCUIT PROCEDURES a. Circuit ALT 1,000FT. b. HN OPS: Departure ALT: 1,500FT DEP ACFT may plan to track via preferred route ACFT should consider alternative DEP tracks if LSALT ABV 1,500FT. 4. IFR PROCEDURES 4.1. ATC TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPEED When not on a SID or STAR (including vectoring) - ACFT ARR or DEP JT via Class C airspace must not exceed 250KT IAS when BLW 10,000FT AMSL. Advise ATC if a higher speed is operationally required. Note: Pilots must also comply with Class D airspace speed limits. Cancellation of ATC traffic management speeds does not cancel Class D airspace speed limits Activate transponder when READY for takeoff IFR ACFT with destination Jandakot, planned at 10,000FT and ABV may be issued STAR Clearances. IFR OPERATIONS IN VMC 4.4. Pilots electing to commence or terminate an IFR flight under the VFR should communicate such intention at the earliest possible time to ensure their arrival or departure is processed efficiently. AWK, TRAINING FLIGHTS 4.5. Pilots wishing to conduct survey operations require 24HR prior notification. Survey flights below 7,000FT can expect to incur delays. Where practicable surveys are to be conducted outside the notified periods of traffic holding ACFT requesting training at Perth see Perth ERSA entry ACFT requesting training in Pearce restricted airspace see Pearce ERSA entry. 5. HELICOPTER OPERATIONS Departures / Arrivals 5.1. Unless otherwise approved by ATC, all HEL ARR or DEP the JT CTR must comply with fixed wing procedures specified above Outside TWR HRS all DEP and ARR are to be conducted from HLS or RWY Eastern Pad located between TWY B7 and RWY 06L/24R RWS, east of TWY C Central Pad located between TWY G1, F1, B3 and RWY 06L/24R RWS DEP HEL shall advise details to YPJT GND (124.3) Pilots must nominate the HLS they wish to use on initial contact with JT GND or TWR Pilots must advise of the intention to conduct circuit training OPS with the taxi or inbound call Taxi clearance required to or from Eastern and Central Pad Taxiing HEL must obtain a clearance to enter the Eastern or Central Pad DEP via ARE when RWY 06/24 in use, RWY 06R/24L or the HEL training area are the preferred DEP points HEL DEP and ARR must be parallel to the duty RWY unless otherwise specified by ATC Practice auto-rotative LDGs are only permitted in HEL Training Area Pilots are requested to keep hover time to a minimum whilst operating on apron areas Helicopter Precinct Operations ARR or DEP DCT to or from HEL precinct not permitted unless operationally required. Northern Apron Departures When RWY 24R is duty RWY, DEP are to track via the apron or Mustang RD then pass between the Control Tower and TWY B unless otherwise approved by ATC.

5 FAC YPJT When RWY 12 or 30 is duty RWY, track via the apron until at the northern or southern end of the apron, then when clear of buildings track parallel to the duty RWY. Do not DEP over HEL Precinct. Northern Apron Arrivals When RWY 06L is duty RWY, ARR are to pass between the Control Tower and TWY B, then track via the apron or Mustang RD, unless otherwise approved by ATC When RWY 12 or 30 is duty RWY, track parallel to the duty RWY remaining clear of buildings and the HEL Precinct, then track via the apron to the LDG site. Helicopter Training Area HEL training area has been established on the AD WI the area bounded by the 06R/24L RWS, TWY S4 and S5 and the airport BDRY road Unless otherwise specified by ATC, the FLW conditions are applicable while OPR in the training area: a.
