2 GENERAL INFORMATION 2.1 THE 2016 HELIPARK IS LOCATED NORTH OF THE RUNWAY ADJACENT B TAXIWAY. 2.2 OPEN 0715L TO 1900L (0615Z TO 1800Z) HOURS ON MONDAY 11TH JULY TO THURSDAY 14TH JULY ALL HELICOPTER FLIGHTS TO AND FROM HELIPARK BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT WITH TAG OPERATIONS. 2.4 ALL HELICOPTERS MUST BE VHF EQUIPPED FOR APPROPRIATE FREQENCIES REFUELLING AVAILABLE IN THE NOMINATED AREA ON NORTH APRON, AVTUR ONLY. CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION AVAILABLE. 2.6 THERE WILL BE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIMITED OPERATIONS DURING THE FLYING DISPLAY. TWO GAPS OF FIVE MINUTES WILL BE CREATED IN THE DISPLAY PROGRAMME EACH DAY; MONDAY 1415 & 1515, TUESDAY TO THURSDAY 1500 & IF KNOWN IN ADVANCE THESE DEPARTURE SLOTS SHOULD BE REQUESTED ON THE INITIAL HANDLING REQUEST. AS A MINIMUM, PILOTS SHOULD REQUEST A DEPARTURE SLOT WHEN THEY ARRIVE EACH MORNING TO ALLOW A SUITABLE SPACE IN THE FLYING DISPLAY PROGRAMME FOR THAT AFTERNOON TO BE PLANNED. 2.7 ALL CHARGES MUST BE SETTLED WITH TAG OPERATIONS BEFORE DEPARTURE. 2.8 FIXED WING MOVEMENTS TO AND FROM THE TAG AVIATION TERMINAL WILL TAKE PLACE BEFORE AND AFTER THE DISPLAY, INCLUDING DEMONSTRATION FLIGHTS. 2.9 ALL NON-ATC MATTERS SHOULD BE RAISED WITH TAG OPS ON FREQUENCY MHz INBOUND/OUTBOUND ROUTES INEVITABLY CROSS, KEEP A GOOD LOOKOUT. HELICOPTERS MUST NOT BE FLOWN OVER THE CROWD OR FIL EXHIBITION SITE WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION FROM FARNBOROUGH ATC GENERAL MANAGER, TAG FARNBOROUGH AIRPORT OPERATIONS DIRECTOR AND FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL LIMITED.
3 HELIPARK INFRASTRUCTURE HELIPARK GATES ARE MARKED H1, H2, AND H3, AS PER CHART ABOVE. 3.2 HELICOPTERS SHOULD SELF POSITION ONTO THE PADS FACING NOSE IN (PERPENDICULAR) TO THE AIRSIDE/LANDSIDE FENCE. MARSHALLERS ARE PROVIDED FOR PARKING AND TAXIING TO AND FROM PADS. MARSHALLERS WILL GIVE AN ALL CLEAR SIGNAL BEFORE HELICOPTER LIFTS. 3.3 FIXED WING AIRCRAFT WILL CONTINUE TO UTILISE TAXIWAY BRAVO DURING HELIPARK OIPERATIONS. 3.4 ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE IS VIA A FATO 24/FATO 06 AND GRASS TAXIWAYS JULIET AND KILO WITH ASSOCIATED HOLDING POINTS AS PER THE CHART ABOVE 3.5 LONGER TERM HELICOPTER PARKING (HASHED AREA ON CHART ABOVE) AND HELI REFUELLING AREAS ARE PROVIDED. TRANSIT BETWEEN HELI GATES AND HELI PARKING IS SUBJECT TO ATC CLEARANCE

11 LANDING AND TAXI ROUTING 6.1 PASSENGERS ARE UNLOADED ON THE GATES. 6.2 NOTE THAT MARSHALLERS ARE PROVIDED FOR TAXIING AND PARKING. 6.3 PARKING IS AVAILABLE ON THE GRASS AREA ADJACENT TO TERMINAL RAMP (NORTH APRON). REPOSITIONING TO PARKING AREAS WILL BE SUBJECT TO ATC CLEARANCE. 6.4 AIRCRAFT WHICH CAN BE TIED-DOWN MUST BE TIED-DOWN BEFORE BEING LEFT UNATTENDED. 6.5 FUEL WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE TERMINAL RAMP ADJACENT TO THE PARKING AREA. ROTORS RUNNING REFUELLING MAY BE PERMITTED SUBJECT TO TAG APPROVAL. HELICOPTERS WITH A MTOW OF 8600KGS OR HEAVIER WILL NOT USE THE HELIPARK, BUT WILL PARK ON NORTH OR WEST ONE APRONS AS PER EXISTING PROCEDURES. STARTUP AND DEPARTURE 7.1 REQUEST START FROM FARNBOROUGH GROUND 7.2 UTILISE DISPLAY XXX CALLSIGN, WHERE XXX IS THE FINAL 3 DIGITS OF YOUR PREVIOUSLY ALLOCATED FARNBOROUGH SQUAWK 7.3 AN ATC CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO REPOSITION FROM THE PARKING AREA TO THE GATES. 7.4 BEFORE REQUESTING DEPARTURE FROM THE GATE, THE HELICOPTER MUST HAVE BEEN GIVEN ALL CLEAR SIGNAL BY MARSHALLER. 7.5 THE HELICOPTER WILL THEN LIFT INTO A LOW HOVER, TURN TO FACE NOSE OUT, AND REQUEST TAXI WITH FARNBOROUGH GROUND. 7.6 HELICOPTERS SHALL OPERATE A MAXIMUM SPEED OF 100KTS IAS WHEN IN COMMUNICATION WITH FARNBOROUGH ATSU 6
12 RADIO FAILURE 8.1 HELICOPTERS WHICH HAVE EXPERIENCED RADIO FAILURE OUTSIDE ANY ESTABLISHED RA(T) SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED TO OPERATE INTO FARNBOROUGH. 8.2 A HELICOPTER WHICH EXPERIENCES RADIO FAILURE INSIDE THE RA(T) IS TO SQUAWK 7600 AND FOLLOW ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES. ARRIVING FROM THE NORTH AND NOT YET CLEARED TO LAND. 8.3 THE RADIO FAIL HELICOPTER IS TO TURN ONTO HEADING 360 UNTIL CROSSING THE BASINGSTOKE - WOKING RAILWAY LINE, AND IS THEN TO ROUTE EITHER AWAY FROM FARNBOROUGH REMAINING OUTSIDE CONTROLLED AIRSPACE, OR MAY ROUTE TO BLACKBUSHE AT 1500FT QNH MAINTAINING VMC TO JOIN OVERHEAD AND LET DOWN ON THE DEAD SIDE TO JOIN THE BLACKBUSHE CIRCUIT. 8.4 THE APPROPRIATE FARNBOROUGH CONTROLLER WILL INFORM BLACKBUSHE AS SOON AS A SQUAWK OF 7600 IS OBSERVED ON A HELICOPTER INBOUND TO FARNBOROUGH FROM THE NORTH. 8.5 AIRCRAFT WHICH HAVE BEEN CLEARED TO LAND ON THE FATO/MAIN RUNWAY SHALL DO SO AND VACATE TO THE NORTH, AND AWAIT MARSHALLERS INSTRUCTIONS. ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTH AND NOT YET CLEARED TO LAND. 8.6 A RADIO FAIL HELICOPTER IS TO LEAVE THE RA(T) IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION, AND DIVERT TO A SUITABLE LANDING AREA. 8.7 AIRCRAFT WHICH HAVE BEEN CLEARED TO LAND ON THE FATO/MAIN RUNWAY SHALL DO SO AND VACATE TO THE NORTH, AND AWAIT MARSHALLERS INSTRUCTIONS. RADIO FAILURE ON THE GROUND. 8.8 A HELICOPTER SUFFERING A RADIO FAILURE ON THE GROUND AT FARNBOROUGH MAY BE PERMITTED TO DEPART AT THE DISCRETION OF ATC AND TAG, SUBJECT TO AN INDIVIDUAL BRIEFING OF THE PILOT BY FARNBOROUGH ATC. 7
