1 AHM 583 LOADMESSAGE AHM 583 LOADMESSAGE RECOMMENDED that, Members shall: 1. Use the standard format for manual and automatically composed loadmessages. 2. Abolish the loadmessage on point-to-point flight as well as on the last leg of multi-sector flight, except for wide-bodied freighter aircraft. Notes 1. The loadmessage is sent primarily to enable the transit station to know in advance the load which continues on the same aircraft. 2. If load information is needed for point-to-point flights or for its last sector of multi-sector flights see AHM 584 or AHM The message is composed of four parts. TABLE OF FORMAT Part 1. Address and Communication Reference Must be in accordance with ATA/IATA Interline Communications Manual or AFTN when required. Part 2. Standard Message Identifier and Flight Record

4 Element 12. O Seat occupying passengers per class including PADs (see AHM 516). Element identifier PAX, preceded by a full stop and followed by an oblique and class information. The class information is composed of 1 3 numerics for the number of seat occupying passengers. Class information is repeated for each class and this is separated by obliques. The sequence of the classes is shown in descending order of priority. Computerised departure control systems automatically input from incoming loadmessages. As a result this format is compatible with both manual and automatically produced loadsheets. This common format will speed and facilitate interline handling.
