2 Introduction The Line Item Detail Listing PDF was designed to provide reconciliation information which supports the charges presented on an Invoice. Prior to the improvements, the MISC PDF detailed listing generated by SIS had a common format across all charge categories which displayed all Line Item Detail fields provided by the Billing Member in one single text field, regardless of their relevance with the invoice. The layout also only accommodated two line item details per page making the PDF detailed listings large in number of pages and inefficient for use of invoice reconciliation. The three key Charge Categories that were selected for PDF detail listing improvements are Airport, ATC, and Ground Handling due to the amount of line item details which were being provided. The goal of the PDF detail listing optimization is to; 1. To clearly display the line item detail fields that are mandatory and recommended as per the IS-XML standard for the specific charge code being invoiced, to facilitate reconciliation. To improve the readability of the PDF detailed listing by having the layout in a tabular format. 3. To significantly reduce the number of pages used by the PDF detailed listing.

6 4- Common Fields in All Layouts These fields will appear in all the different layouts for all categories. 1- Line #: This field displays the line item serial number linked to the line Item Detail (s). 2- Quantity: This filed displays Quantity of service/ product/ goods at for a specific Line Item Detail. 3- Unit Price: field displays the Quantity of service/ product/ goods provided, when scaling factor is greater than 1 it will be shown on the PDF invoice Charge Amount: It displays the total of the Charge Amounts of a specific Line Item Detail This field can hold positive as well as negative values 5- Total of Charge Amounts for Line #... Excluding Additional Amounts, Taxes and VAT: It displays the total of the Charge Amounts of the linked Line Item Details; not inclusive of taxes and additional charge. Note: It is important to use the correct charge category /code combination when raising an invoice as the PDF layout is selected based on the charge code(s) being used for the invoice. Also, reconciliation information should not be provided in a free text field such as description at the line item detail level as this information is no longer displayed on the PDF detail listing and cannot be used effectively by the receiver for reconciliation, especially when they are using IS-XML for reconciliation.
