3 1. General LS-Data is an online-based program to interchange data for the loadsheet between the cockpit crew and the handling crew. This manual describes only the functions and processes of the program. The company procedures have to be performed according OM-B chapter 6.1. Initially the cockpit crew inserts all data which is needed to issue the loadsheet during the pre-flight briefing. The data is saved on an external server and the handling crew will be informed via as soon as a new data set has been inserted. They are anytime able to access this data and issue the loadsheet accordingly. The cockpit crew can change/delete any data for any flight and the handling crew is immediately informed about the change and about what has been changed via . There are three different user accounts. One account is for the cockpit crew, one for the handling crew and one for the system administrator. The cockpit crew user may insert new flights, edit and delete them. The handling crew user may only retrieve the data without changing or deleting anything. 2. Log In To access the program following link has to be used: You will be directed to the login page: Use following login details: User: handling Password: ask your administrator or User: crew Password: ask your administrator After inserting the user name and password click on Login and you will be redirected to the start page. 5 4. Cockpit crew After login a table with all the relevant data is shown. In case there is no data inserted, the table will be empty. 6 Flight data Crew composition Weights Route data Aircraft configuration Remarks In the weights section there are two options to insert the Max TOM and the Max LM. In case of max. structural TOM and LM the checkboxes can be used. If the masses are performance limited (below the max. structural masses) the input forms have to be used. The checkboxes always have higher priority. So if the checkbox is ticked and a value is inserted in the form, the program will use the structural limited weights. The value for the taxi fuel is already pre-inserted with 160kg, but can be changed anytime if necessary. Jakob Klinglmair, Rev. 1.1 Page 5

7 In the route data/aircraft configuration section, the EET and END have to be inserted in the format hh:mm. For the alternate airports only one checkbox may be ticked for ALT1 and ALT2. If a different airport has to be used as alternate you can use the insert form. Also here the checkboxes have higher priority than the forms. If the handling crew should use alternate masses, tick the checkbox at Alternate Masses. If it is necessary to inform the handling team about additional cargo, the weights can be defined in the remarks section. In case of additional remarks regarding cargo, COMAIL or COMAT the relevant checkbox can be ticked and the text inserted in the text field. It is only allowed to use one of the three checkboxes. Remarks which do not belong to one of these three topics should be inserted just via the text field without ticking a checkbox. Jakob Klinglmair, Rev. 1.1 Page 6

8 With a click on Back the current data input will be cancelled without saving anything and you will be redirected to the start page. After a click on Submit the data set will be saved and you can continue directly with the next flight. Should there be any problems or wrong inputs an error message will be displayed. If all flights are inserted, just click on Overview and you will be redirected to the start page Flight overview The table on the start page shows all inserted data. There are only flights shown, which are at the present day or in the future. Flights from the past can only be viewed by the administrator. For each flight an ID number is generated. So in case of two flights with the same flight number on the same day, the flights can be separated by their ID numbers. If alternate masses are needed to be used for the loadsheet (checkbox ticked previously during inserting the flight), it is indicated with Yes in the relevant row. If not a No is shown. 9 Remarks belonging to cargo, COMAIL or COMAT are shown in their relevant column. General remarks (no checkbox ticked previously during inserting the flight) are shown in the column Remarks Changing flight data Changes on a data set can be done via a click on Edit in the Action column. You will be redirected to the same form as for the initial input of the flight. The forms are now already pre-filled with the currently saved data. A click on Back cancels the update and you will be redirected to the start page without changing anything. After the changes are made a click on Submit saves the data, shows you a message that the update was successful and shows you again the new data set. With a click on Overview you will get back to the start page. The relevant flight is now shown in the table with the updated data. Jakob Klinglmair, Rev. 1.1 Page 8

11 4.4. Deleting flight data To delete a data set click on Delete in the Action column. A message will pop up which asks you if you really want to delete this flight. A click on Abbrechen gets you back to the start page and the data set will remain stored on the server. A click on OK deletes the relevant data set. Jakob Klinglmair, Rev. 1.1 Page 10

12 5. Handling crew After login a table with all the relevant data is shown. In case there is no data inserted, the table will be empty. Otherwise the flights are shown line by line Flight overview There are only flights shown, which are at the present day or in the future. Flights from the past can only be viewed by the administrator. For each flight an ID number is generated. So in case of two flights with the same flight number on the same day, the flights can be separated by their ID numbers. The flight number shows the flight number of the relevant flight without the PE at the beginning. The date shows the date of the flight. The crews are separated by /. The cockpit is inserted with CPT/FO/SO and the cabin with CA1/CA2/CA3. Max. TOM, max. LM, block fuel, taxi fuel and trip fuel are shown in kg. Jakob Klinglmair, Rev. 1.1 Page 11

13 EET and END have the format hh:mm. The ALT1 and ALT2 airports are shown in the ICAO format. The column Crew shows the crew version. T/O flaps indicates the planned flap configuration for take off. The column Pantry shows the pantry code. If alternate masses are needed to be used for the loadsheet, it is indicated with Yes in the relevant row. If not a No is shown. Aft and Fwd indicates the weight distribution of the cargo in aft and forward cargo compartement. Remarks belonging to cargo, COMAIL or COMAT are shown in their relevant column. General remarks are shown in the column Remarks. With the View button in the Action column it is possible to view each flight separately. 14 So immediately after inserting the data, the handling crew knows, that a new flight (with flight number and date) is online. A link underneath the text directs the user to the login page of LS-Data and the full data set can be checked Change of flight data In case of a change of flight data by the cockpit crew, an with following text will be generated to inform the handling crew about the update: So immediately after updating the data, the handling crew knows, that a flight (with flight number and date) has been changed and which changes have been made. 15 7. Log Off A click on Logoff at the start page will log out and redirect the user to the login page. 8. Backup In case of any problems of the program or missing internet connection the loadsheet data should be handed over to the handling crew by the paper blocks available in the crew room and changes should be transmitted by phone or radio.
