13 General Overview CONCLUSIONS REC has got more than 55% from the traffic in the Northeast block REC is the third force in Brazil Northeast region (SSA and FOR are the leaders) REC can be a hub from AZUL for international destinations Brazilian economic crisis hit its lowest level in 2016 With the newest president elected, airport privatization is a government proposal Regulations have been flexible to increase the traffic in regional airports Fuel tax and fuel prices are the main challenges for airlines No aviation fuel pipeline in the Northeast block, transportation is by fuel truck High possibility for new entrants in domestic market (mainly foreign airline subsidiary like Norwegian) New treaties in aviation market are possible have been increasing international frequencies for all countries worldwide 13
