Aug. 17th 4:00pm We are pleased to announce that David Peterson, North Mason Superintendent of Schools, and also a resident of Lakeland Village, will be the Speaker at the Annual Meeting Of the LakeLand Village Community Club to be held on Tuesday, June 18th at 7:00pm LakeLand Village Clubhouse 470 E. Country Club Dr, Allyn, WA The purpose of the meeting will be to transact such business as may come before the membership. IF YOU PLAN ON USING THE GAZEBO FOR A PICNIC, PLEASE COME IN TO THE OFFICE OR CALL FOR A RESERVATION. RESERVATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE IN USE OF THE FACILITIES. IF THE GAZEBO IS NOT IN USE, IT MAY BE USED AT ANY TIME, HOWEVER ANY GROUP OVER 15 IN SIZE MUST GET PRIOR PERMISSION. 2 The beach and other community facilities are for residents only, so be sure to have a sticker on your car and boat or Security may ask you to leave. ======================== WALKERS please always walk on the left side of the road facing oncoming traffic and move to the side when a vehicle approaches DRIVERS 25 mph speed limit WALKERS & DRIVERS - please use COURTESY!! ****************************************************************************************************** Just a reminder that Mason County does not have a leash law, however Lakeland Village has language in its Covenants stating that nuisance animals are not allowed, i.e. dogs or cats that wander and use other yards for a latrine, etc. ********************************************************************************************************* Check out the Homeowners Association website at for current events and happenings in the Village. As soon as school is out, the Beach Attendants will be in place at the beach every day from noon until 6:00pm. Please show them respect and thank them for assisting in making our beach a pleasant environment. They are not lifeguards so please accompany your young children while at the beach. Dogs must be leashed at the beach and playground areas. COMMUNITY EVENTS Sat May 18 from 2-4 pm, Faith in Action to sponsor CAKES FOR CARING at the Lakeland Village Clubhouse. This free, family-friendly party will be fun and a fundraiser for the HUB Center for seniors in Belfair. There will be cupcake decorating, a cake auction, ice cream floats and Snappy the Clown will be on hand to paint faces and make balloon animals. For more information call Patti at WestSound Triathlon Club will, once again, be conducting a Sprint Distance Triathlon on Saturday, August 10 beginning at 8:00am at the lake. WSTC is affiliated with USAT, which is the governing body of Triathlon s in the US which provides insurance for this type of event. The course schedule is as follows: Swim: ½ mile swim across Anderson Lake and back Bike: 15 miles following E. Old Ranch Rd. to Lakeland Drive and around the lake. Three laps Run: 3.1 miles from the park to Old Ranch Rd to Soderberg Loop and back to park where they will have a picnic for their members. WSTC will provide all traffic management and water safety.

Specific time frames when weed control activities may take place are: May 25 through June 15, July 1 through July 20 and August 15 through September 15. Treatments are designed to control/ eradicate noxious and native macrophytes. Product(s) planned for use: Glyphosate Diquat -(diquat dibromide) Hydrothol 191-(Dimethyllalkylamine salt of endothall) Aquathol K- (Dipotassium salt of endothall) Imazamox Location of Treatment(s): Not to exceed 60% of the lakes littoral zone for weed control, total lake treatment for algae control if necessary. The applicator will post signs in the treated and potentially affected areas no more than 48 hours prior to treatment. The signs will describe any water use restrictions or advisories. Plants/Algae Targeted: Pondweeds, elodea, lily pads, shoreline emergents, filamentous and planktonic algae. These species may be treated to control hazardous weed and algae growth. If you are withdrawing water for potable or domestic water use, livestock watering, or irrigation, and have no alternate water source, please contact the applicator Northwest Aquatic Eco-Systems at or pondweeds@comcast.net to arrange an alternate water supply. If you would like to request additional notification prior to treatment, or have further questions, please contact me using the information above.
