4 Departure from Luton and arrival in Berlin Friday 27th April 3am Meet at school site 3:15am Depart for Luton Airport 4:15am Arrive Luton Airport 6am Flight 8:55am Arrive Schoenefeld Airport Train to Berlin centre Leave bags at Hostel

5 Luggage Each student will have cabin luggage only, so they need to pack carefully, both to satisfy airline rules and to make sure they bring only essentials We will also be checking in one hold luggage bag. In this we can pack cameras for the Photography students, art supplies and towels to make sure pupils have a little more space in hand luggage.

6 The Rules: The liquid must be in a container that has a volume no larger than 100 ml; Larger containers are not permitted even if they are nearly empty; All liquid containers must be stored in a 1 litre size transparent plastic bag; The bag must be able to zip shut and can not exceed 20 x 20 cm; All liquids must be presented at the security check at the airport; You can bring a maximum of ml containers; All passengers are allowed to bring food on-board with them in their hand luggage; Drinks may be brought on-board but they must be bought after the security gate to comply with hand luggage liquids restrictions mentioned above.

8 Day 1 Arrive at Hostel around 11:00am Check in and Leave bags Walk to East side gallery. Lunch in gallery area Pergamon Museum in the afternoon Return to Hostel early evening Eat at Hostel

9 Days 2 and 3 Berlinische Galerie Museum Walk down Unter Den Linden Road - Visit Holocaust memorial, Hitlers bunker, Brandenburg Gate. Topography of Terror Museum Jewish Museum in the afternoon Checkpoint Charlie Käthe-Kollwitz-Museum TV tower On final evening Tour of the Reichstag

10 Day 4 7:30am meet for breakfast Check out Train to airport for 9:55am flight Land in Luton at around 11am Return to school for 1:30pm Pupils can either go home or stay on site with staff until 3pm

11 Food We will be eating a big buffet breakfast every morning! We will be buying lunch out Falafel, Burgers, Currywurtz then having meals whilst out or back at the hostel in the evening. Pupils will need to tell us preferences for their meal on the first evening at the Hostel as we are required to pre-order. Pupils will be encouraged to fill their water bottles in the morning to avoid buying water when out. If pupils wish to supplement the food budget, they may do so.

12 Essentials Passport! (please hand in to Mrs Noble) EHIC card (please hand in to Mrs Noble) Warm, waterproof coat; Comfy shoes for walking in; Day bag / ruck sack; Towel; Water bottle; Money belt if you do not have a secure pocket; European plug adaptor if charging your phone/camera is important to you. Art/Photography students: Camera A4 Sketchbook Pencils / Pens Rubber Note: Collect and keep all tickets/ leaflets from the trip. This will go in your coursework as evidence of the trip.

13 To help us prepare! In preparation for our trip to Berlin, and with just over a month to go, we would like to ask that you complete and return the consent and medical forms to Mrs Noble in the Admin office by 29 th March. Could we please ask that you also bring in your child s passport and European Health Insurance Card by the above deadline*. These will be securely kept within the school until the departure of the trip. Please make sure luggage is packed to the guidelines of EasyJet. Details were sent in the letter and are available online. * If you are planning a trip abroad during the Easter holiday, may we please ask that you return the consent & medical forms by the above deadline and hand in your child s passport and EHIC card upon our return to school on 17 th April.
