(19) Metropolitan Railway Express Parcel Delivery: Flack s, Bishopsgate Station, 3d. used, very unusual type and noted by Morley in 1864, Ewen does not illustrate. Photo Midland Railway: 1853 imperforate 6lb. black on orange overprinted SPECIMEN with manuscript date. The stamp predates the first issue by two years. Also d. Local Prepaid Parcel on Corn or Coal Business (Ewen 45). Reported in 1889 but this the only example known. Unusually the letter is an invoice for for all goods carried in January, unusual.
