3 Tuesday 10 th April COLCHESTER ZOO Come with us to one of the finest zoos in Europe. Colchester has over 250 species to see and a range of daily displays and feeds to take part in. They offer a wide range of plants and products over multiple departments. Please note that we are unable to transport large purchases CODE D 3:00PM Wednesday 18 th April MISSISSIPPI PADDLE BOAT We invite you to take a trip with us to Norfolk for a cruise on the Mississippi Paddle Boat departing from Horning. We will take you directly to Horning. Before sailing we have arranged a lunch at The Ferry Inn. Choose from either a Carvery, Cod & Chips, Spinach Tortellini served with Garlic Bread (V) or Mushroom Risotto (GF). For dessert choose from Ice Cream, Bread and Butter Pudding with Custard or Apple Crumble with Custard. The boat sails at 3:00pm and the cruise lasts for roughly 1 ½ hours. 4 Thursday 26 th April VINTAGE TOUR BUXHALL Enjoy a journey back in time on one of our lovely vintage coaches. We will stop at Granary Crafts and Museum in Buxhall, there is a bygones museum (free entry) with exhibits ranging from old local photographs to classic cars and household items. Join us for a trip down memory lane and have some tea and cake while you re there! 5 Sunday 6 th May FELIXSTOWE The popular classic vehicle rally is taking place on the Seafront today. Now in its 48 th year this popular event with up to 500 varied vehicles attending is a real visitor attraction. If classic vehicles don t tempt you there are all the usual seaside attractions of fish & chips, amusements, ice cream and the beach. Wednesday 9 th May BEDFORD Bedford has been a market town since the Middle Ages and in recent years the town has re-embraced the market model and now there are a large number of them held regularly as well as a large shopping centre and vibrant town centre. This, along with some of the ancient medieval architecture of the town, draws many people from the surrounding area to shop here on a regular basis. 3:30PM Wednesday 16 th May DUNWICH & WOODBRIDGE The beautiful coastline at Dunwich makes it the perfect place to stop for lunch. We will be calling in at the Flora Tearooms where for lunch they will be serving up their fish & chips. Choose from cod, plaice or haddock. Or if you fancy something different, you can have a cheese, ham, prawn or scampi salad. All come with bread & butter and tea or coffee. For dessert choose from fruit salad and ice cream or ice cream. 6 Friday 18 th May ST IVES The Old Riverport of St Ives is a beautiful historic town 15 miles from Cambridge. A focal point is the splendid 15 th century bridge and chapel over the river. There are also many independent CODE D shops throughout the town. 3:30PM Saturday 19 th May ROMFORD This bustling town has shops and a lively market to suit everyone s tastes! With over 100 fashion and lifestyle shops The Liberty Shopping Centre is worth a look! We are able to make a pick-up in Halstead & Four Releet Crossroads, Braintree on this excursion CODE E 3:00PM Wednesday 23 rd May STEAM TRAIN RIDE NENE VALLY RAILWAY We will be travelling to Wansford where you will board a steam train on the Nene Valley Railway. From there you will have around 1½ hours journey time on the train on a round trip ending back at Wansford. After this the Turntable Café will have a light ADULT buffet lunch on offer. 7 Thursday 24 th May ALDEBURGH Enjoy the miles of unspoilt shingle coastline and heathlands. There are many excellent restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes and lots of individual, appealing shops to look around CODE B Saturday 26 th May HUNSTANTON The only West facing seafront in East Anglia has a promenade, fun fair and bowls. There is also pitch-and-putt, the Sea Life Sanctuary and the Esplanade Gardens. There are lots of cafes and shops and plenty to see and do for everyone. There is a market today adjacent to the seafront. Tuesday 29 th May CLACTON Clacton has sandy beaches, seafront gardens and Victorian pier with undercover amusements and fun fair. 8 Thursday 31 st May SUFFOLK SHOW The Suffolk Show is a day out like no other a traditional county show and a unique celebration of food, farming and the countryside. You ll be amazed at how much there is to see and do - spectacular grand ring displays, local food and drink, fabulous shopping, have a go activities, unique exhibits and hundreds of animals to see. For horse lovers, there is a full programme of top class show jumping, side saddle classes, Shetland Pony Grand National, Inter Hunt Relay and carriage driving! ADMISSION NOT INCLUDED Friday 1 st June BETH CHATTO GARDENS The Gardens, situated in Elmstead Market, were created by award winning gardener, author and lecturer Beth Chatto, who won 10 gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show, in 10 consecutive years. Now, they are an inspiration to gardeners and garden lovers and are also a renowned nursery and stock over 2000 varieties of plants, many propagated from plants in the Gardens. PRICE INCLUDES ADMISSION Saturday 2 nd June SOUTHEND There is the world s longest pleasure pier, a museum & planetarium, entertainment, beaches and a range of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The Kursaal is a grade II listed building which was the world s first purpose built amusement arcade. 9 Tuesday 5 th June STAMFORD OR BURGHLEY HOUSE Declared a conservation area in 1967, Stamford has over 600 listed buildings all in mellow limestone in the town centre including 5 medieval churches. It is also home to one of the oldest provincial theatres, built in 1768 which is now used as the arts centre. There are plenty of shops to peruse and buildings to explore or you could have a quiet walk along the river. If you fancy, you could follow the Town Trail which takes you around Stamford. Alternatively enjoy a visit to Burghley House. Built between 1555 and 1587 the house has been beautifully preserved and restored. Take a look round the old kitchen, the chapel, the billiard room and many of the bedrooms. Bringing back rock and roll and the summer of love in one bumper show. This is a matinee performance which includes a three course lunch (a meat or vegetarian option is available please select at time of booking) CODE D APPROX 5:15PM Friday 8 th June CROMER Perched on the very edge of the North Norfolk Coast, Cromer is famous for its tasty crabs, wide open beaches and traditional pier. 10 Wednesday 13 th June VINTAGE TOUR FELIXSTOWE On one of our vintage coaches we will be travelling to Felixstowe, you will first have the opportunity to visit the View Point Café where you can have a spot of lunch. After lunch there is a guided tour around Landguard Fort, providing an informative and absorbing insight into the history and architecture of the building and its surroundings. (The fort is on multi levels with some uneven ground). After that The Felixstowe museum next door is also part of your trip back in time. Felixstowe Museum houses up to 14 galleries displaying the military and social history of this popular seaside resort. The most successful sitcom of the decade gave us the hapless Frank and his long-suffering wife Betty with catch phrases galore CODE A and a never-ending list of disasters. 11 Saturday 16 th June GREAT YARMOUTH AIRSHOW With a mixture of military & civilian displays expected the anticipated seaside Air show is coming to Great Yarmouth. The Wildcats aerobatics team are planned for an appearance as well as The RAF and many other displays. 5:00PM Tuesday 19 th June NORWICH The historic city of Norwich is dominated by its magnificent Norman cathedral, with the second tallest spire in the country. There are a multitude of shops, quaint walkways and a range of places to eat. Thursday 21 st June RHS WISLEY GARDENS The flagship garden of the RHS, Wisley captures the imagination with richly planted borders, luscious rose gardens and the state-of-the-art glasshouse with its highlevel walkways where you can view the exotic blooms CODE E CODE C WITH ADMISSION COACH ONLY CODE G 3:30PM Saturday 23 rd June WARNER BROTHERS STUDIO TOUR - THE MAKING OF HARRY POTTER From Platform 9¾ to The Great Hall or from Diagon Alley to ADULT The Forbidden Forest there is plenty to see. 12 Tuesday 26 th June UPPINGHAM RUTLAND First stopping at the small market town of Uppingham. Dating back to the 14 th century this market town has lots of speciality shops, art galleries and traditional retailers. After this we move onto The Normanton Park Hotel which overlooks Rutland Water for a two course lunch. Choose from either Lasagne & Salad, Cod, Chips & Peas or Cheese & Tomato Quiche with New Potatoes & Salad (v). For dessert choose either Chocolate Fudge Brownie & Ice Cream, Eton Mess or Lemon Meringue Pie. Meals must be pre-booked and cannot be changed on the day. Saturday 30 th June OXFORD Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th century an established town, although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years. Providing a backdrop to T.V. favourites Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour. 13 Sunday 1 st July WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA A traditional seaside town on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast, home to everything we love about the seaside and much more! A most interesting and fascinating place, charming and picturesque, having lost none of its historical character. It even has a train from the town to the beach! Tuesday 3 rd July BRIGHTON Brighton is one of the most vibrant, colourful and creative cities in Europe. Have a look in the unique shops in The Lanes and walk along the promenade. You could also visit the Royal Pavilion and admire its amazing architecture, or from one time period to another maybe the British Airways i360 the tallest moving observation tower in the world where you can view 360 degrees all around Brighton. 3:45PM Thursday 5 th July RHS HAMPTON COURT PALACE FLOWER SHOW Gorgeous gardens, fabulous florals & fantastic shopping in an beautiful setting. The world-class Show Gardens are packed full of inspiration for contemporary and traditional gardening ideas. There is a 20 minute walk or a shuttle bus to get to the show ground from where the coaches are allowed to drop passengers. 14 Saturday 7 th July WALTON ON THE NAZE OR FRINTON Walton On The Naze is a traditional seaside town with the second longest pier in Britain, golden sands and nature reserves. Frinton, a quiet seaside town with a long clean greensward, sandy & pebble beaches and a promenade lined with beach huts may be more to your liking. 4:15PM Tuesday 10 th July CHARTWELL This National Trust property was the much-loved Churchill family home. The rooms remain much as they were when Winston Churchill lived here, with pictures, books and personal mementoes evoking the career and wide-ranging interests of a great statesman and family man. The hillside gardens show Churchill's love of landscape and nature. They include the lakes he created, his painting studio, Lady Churchill's Rose Garden, the kitchen garden, and the Marycot, a playhouse created especially for Churchill s youngest daughter CODE B WALTON FRINTON INC ADMISSION COACH ONLY CODE G 3:30PM Thursday 12 th July ELY Visit the Medieval Cathedral City of Ely. 15 Saturday 14 th July PORTSMOUTH Portsmouth is steeped in Naval history with lots to see in the Historic Dockyard including the Museum that houses the remains of Henry VIII ship The Mary Rose. Gunwharf Quays is a modern setting next to the Dockyard which is home to many designer outlet shops. Towering over them is The Spinnaker Tower which stands 170 metres tall. It s well worth a visit to the top to see the view which on a clear day can reach as far as 23 miles CODE F Monday 16 th July HIGHCLERE CASTLE THE HOME OF DOWNTON ABBEY Come with us to visit one of England's most beautiful Victorian Castles set in 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland. The Caernarvon family has lived at Highclere since 1679, and the current castle stands on the site of an earlier house, which was built on the foundations of a medieval palace. Highclere was used in the TV programme Downton Abbey and in 1922 was home to the 5 th Earl who with Howard Carter discovered the Tomb of Tutankhamun. With access to the house, the grounds CODE G and the Egyptian Exhibition this excursion is a very popular choice. Now in its 137th year, it is much more than just a Flower Show. It is a unique event offering not only the best in horticulture but also an excellent day out, filled with family entertainment. 18 Sunday 29 th July COTSWOLD TOUR The Cotswolds area is one of England s favourite destinations, famous for hundreds of honey colour limestone villages in a beautiful rural setting. Popular with both the English and visitors from all over the world, the Cotswolds are well known for gentle hillsides (wolds) sleepy villages and for being so typically English. Join us on a day out on a tour of some of the prettiest villages and towns in the area.?? Tuesday 31 st July SHERINGHAM Sheringham is a traditional seaside town with its promenade running in and out of the low cliffs. You could enjoy the day on the beach or have a wander round the shops in the town CODE F CODE C Thursday 2 nd August KEW GARDENS OR THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES You could either explore the 300 acres that make up the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew which boasts landscapes, glasshouses and a vast range of rare and beautiful plants. 19 Tuesday 7 th August WEST CLIFF THEATRE CLACTON SUMMER SHOW The West Cliff Theatre in Clacton can date the origin of its annual summer show back to 1894 which makes it the longest running continuous summer season in the UK! Come and indulge in the glitz and glamour of our great British revue show. Featuring laugh out loud comedy, spell binding performances and spine tingling vocals, together with a company of eight gorgeous dancers plus our junior ensemble The Summer Show is not to be missed! A feast of family entertainment, flavoured with tradition. 20 Tuesday 14 th August 1066 HASTINGS Hastings is a town on England s southeast coast. It's known for the 1066 Battle of Hastings, fought on a nearby field where Battle Abbey now stands. The Norman ruins of Hastings Castle, once home to William the Conqueror, overlook the English Channel. East along the shingle seafront of Stade Beach, Hastings Fishermen s Museum and Shipwreck Museum document maritime history. Thursday 16 th August ALTHORP HOUSE CHILDHOOD HOME OF DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES Althorp was built in 1508, by the Spencers, for the Spencers, and that is how it has remained for over 500 years. It has been described as one of the most beautiful stately homes in England. The Round Oval, as the lake is known, was constructed in 1868 and is now dedicated to the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales. 21 Tuesday 21 st August THE HISTORIC DOCKYARD CHATHAM Chatham Historic Dockyard is a maritime museum on part of the site of the former Royal Naval dockyard at Chatham. Here you can discover how ships, including HMS Victory, were designed and built. Climb aboard a sloop, a destroyer and a submarine. Get hands-on in the Ropery, where rigging for HMS Victory was made and where rope is still made today. (Tours to the Ropery & HMS Ocelot are included in the admission price but must be booked on arrival for timed entry slots). The very popular TV series Call the Midwife is filmed on part of the Dockyard site. A great day out for all the family. 22 Tuesday 28 th August HIGHCLERE CASTLE THE HOME OF DOWNTON ABBEY Come with us to visit one of England's most beautiful Victorian Castles set in 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland. The Caernarvon family has lived at Highclere since 1679, and the current castle stands on the site of an earlier house, which was built on the foundations of a medieval palace. 25 Wednesday 12 th September MISSISSIPPI PADDLE BOAT Travelling up to Norfolk Broads for a cruise on the Mississippi Paddle Boat departing from Horning. We will take you directly to Horning. Before sailing we have arranged a lunch at The Ferry Inn. Choose from Carvery, Cod & Chips, Lasagne or Mushroom Risotto (v). We will hold bookings for 10 working days from when you make your reservation. If after 10 days, we have not received payment the booking will be removed. 2. When booking please refer to the codes on the reverse of this brochure. This will indicate your pick-up time. 3. We aim to offer the best and prompt service possible. To do this we ask that our passengers ensure that they are waiting at their collection points at least 5 MINUTES BEFORE the times stated on their tickets. If you are not at your pick-up point on time, we cannot wait. This also applies to the return time to travel home. 4. If for any reason you are unable to go on an excursion for which you have booked, please telephone the office to let us know as soon as possible. 5. Refunds will not be given unless an excursion is cancelled by us. 6. All seats will be allocated by the driver from a pre-prepared seating plan, this ensures that families and groups of passengers can sit together. Please be advised that where seatbelts are provided, by law, they must be worn at all times 7. There is absolutely NO SMOKING, NO EATING & NO DRINKING on any of our vehicles. 8.
